I like how Eiichirou is keeping up with the pacing and his speed as well. The sliding serves are getting better responses. Pretty tense episode overall with a cliffhanger. |

| Intense ep :D Really loving how calmly Maruo analyzes everything. Also liked how Araya calmed himself. I was thinking it would be stupid if he lost due to his temper so this is better now that he's calmed down. Loved the prediction face down at the end ^^ I still think Maruo will lose this one. It'll be an awesome match though :D |

| Damn! Cliffhanger! Huhu. Can't wait for next week. This episode went by very fast. But I admire how Eichan uses all types of strategies to keep up. Too bad Araya is a very difficult opponent to defeat. GO EICHAN!! Although I think he will probably lose this one. |

Don't look at any of them in the face! /trials with 3D puppets One of my favorite panels in the manga goes by so fast when animated -- the one where Eichiro jumps onto the fence to reach Araya's ball. I'm trying to remember whether Miyagawa had watched Ei-chan's matches in the manga and can't recall. Anime exclusive? Not that I mind! Miyagawa's cool. |

| Ei-chan and his predicting and analyzing skills are helping in the match, although Araya has figured out that Ei-chan has been looking at his form. It'll be more difficult from now on for Ei-chan to win points with returns. It's like Miyagawa said, you strengthen the others players as well. Araya is actually for once trying to calm himself down without losing to his short temper. If Araya wins, Takuma will have a harder time to deal with Araya now (probably since it was one of Araya's biggest weakness). Ohh I see Ike!~ |

| That cliffhanger was so intense that I was on the edge of my seat. I'm not even sure that I want Ei-chan to win, though - Araya vs Takuma sounds really interesting, it'd give Ei-chan more chance to improve and get seeded, and I really don't want Araya to have to give up on his dream of going pro when he's got both tennis skills and the skills to overcome his weaknesses and control his temper in such dire situations. |
| Damn cliffhanger. I loved this episode and above all the part: "Don't rely on the guts". Like instinct plays a major role but it's not always recommendable, that's quite important imho. Since it seems a lot of spokon forget it. |

| Ei-chan did really well to even make it this far and even challenge this Araya dude. It would be awesome if he won. This was a pretty well done episode. I'd probably want it to go somewhat like this: He beats Araya just barely, gives Takuma a good challenge but doesn't win tourney. Probably way unrealistic if he wins the whole tourney.. Maybe even Takuma will just destroy him and make him realise he still needs to improve hmmm I hope we get a sort of breather episode or 2 after this tourney is over. It's been focusing almost just selectively on tennis and not outside interractions/plot so I'm interested to see where those things go.. |

| Good episode, Eiichiro still holding against Araya. Still quite fun to watch this back and forth mind games between the players as they change how they play through each other. And damn, the cliffhanger was real.. |

| Gotta hand it to Maruo. He'll go anything to return the ball. Jumps on the fence and then dives to return the ball, insane. Takuma sure is surprised the match is still going. |

| This whole time I was thinking that if Araya loses it's because the opponent in his mind is Takuma not Maruo, but when he made that distinction and said my opponent is the guy right in front of me, focus on him, I got really scared. He's calmed himself, and improved by catching his weaknesses of underestimating his opponent, having his emotions overflow, and now stripping away his predictability with his serves. Everyone in this anime gets development it's great, even mid match. Araya isn't just an obstacle he's a real competitor. This is the exact kind of tournament I hope for and never get in battle shounen! Everyone is respected by the writing, fighting for a reason, and constantly adapting rather than being purely an obstacle. Baby Steppu is so good. |
| Araya is a certified lunatic and I love him for it. The guy psychs himself up so much that he has to punch himself in the face to calm down. Ei-chan taught him a valuable lesson: calm the down and play strategically. |
| Nice cliffhanger and great episode as a whole. Maruo's giving it his all, even jumping at the fence to reach the ball and hit it to not lose that point. Commitment and heart right there, even when Araya's just the better player overall and close to winning. |
