Intense episode, this time there were fewer speeches and those facts were of a technical nature. Narration well managed, the comedy does not have a negative impact on the rest, the pathos that it has created during the game was palpable.
WOW!
Drawings and animations good, excellent construction of the new characters.

Shou-chan finally trying to play with his head and honing his skills, even though there's still a shit ton of work to do. The upcoming Inter-High matches are going to be fckin great.

Great episode. Looks like the players from Karasuno and those from Nekoma have a lot in common.

I'm already hooked with this anime. From the OST to the animation to the character development, everything's just so well done.

one thing this series have done exceptionally well is making this team actually feel like a vulnerable mid-tier team with holes and improvement to go. i like that shou's natural talent doesnt make him somehow as good as kageyama, who has been practicing seriously and is touted as a genius. shou has been shown many times to seriously suck in many areas. so its much more rewarding to see him actually start improving.

This was a GREAT episode. I loved it.

I like how the episode focuses on Hinata's need for improvement, and I'm sure more focus on other team members will come with time. With this, Hinata can finally be his own person instead of always being grouped with kageyama.

Also, I'm loving the bromance between Kageyama and Hinata. They've already come so far! It's wonderful! I'm glad that the team is now more balanced with Asahi the ace and Nishinoya (libero). This way, the team's offensive power is still great even though Hinata's role as decoy is lacking.

So far, the team has Tanaka, Asahi, Tsuki, and Hinata as the main spikers. Kageyama also throws a couple points in here and there (the feint). I'm really looking forward to seeing Tsuki develop as a player, since he clearly has so much potential.

It's cool how Kageyama holds the team together at this point, but I also really want some scenes with the original setter momma, Suga-san.

10/10 so far! loving it!

Onwards to next episode!!!

This match is fun. Want to see how Hinata's skillset develops. Will he just get faster and jump higher? Or will he also learn different skills? That reverse spin shot points toward the latter :D 5/5

Ahh, I know the feeling. Though I usually watch anime in fast pace. But I've never rewatched anime about 3 times within 3 months... except Haikyuu. LOL I don't know if I sound like a loser there, but there's really something about it.

Yes yes. But it would still be better if you keep your expectations average. That's usually makes anime more enjoyable lol.

Gotta love the friendly rivalry between Nekoma and Karasuno...there are too many sports anime that go a little OTT with the angst in their rivalries, and whilst it does work sometimes, I find this take pretty refreshing!

It was short and sweet, but I loved the moment between Tsukki and Kozume as well as the subtle but important bits of development we get for the characters.

Definitely glad to see Hinata improving as well & it's a relief that the whole toss & spike duo thing isn't represented as this invincible secret attack or something.
I was getting worried that they'd be relying on that for ages, but I'm glad I was wrong!

Hinata's learning!
Also cool to see Nekoma's player cheer on Hinata, he really is excited to see him play :)

At least it's not just blindly smashing the ball anymore, this way he can even play without Kageyama eventually, that solves the question I asked regarding; "What if Kage gets sick or has to sit out due an injury"

I like the message of this anime. "One more", is said almost too many times to count. I can recall the time that Hinata and Kageyama were practicing before their game with Tsukki, night time came and Hinata told him "one more", as he tried to finish off for the night. Asahi yelled to Suga recently, "SUGAAAAAAA, ONE MORE". In this episode we saw Hinata claim it as well when trying to get past the Suga counterpart blocker. The wall that he knew he could get past. All of this woven together with other messages from this episode, "it's only natural he can't do a play he's never done before", and "everything you learn, you learn by doing, so give it your all", and finally the information that even Little Giant couldn't score in his first year. It all comes together for a somewhat hopeful and cheesy but powerful and inspiring message about our approach in life. We just have to keep saying those words, "one more", until we get there. Everyone can't do something the first time, everyone fails, but everyone can do it if they put in the time and have the resolve. Especially with the help of your team, or your friends behind you. For as many times as Hinata misses and loses them a point in learning this new spike, Asahi and Tanaka are there to score an equal amount of points.

And we've seen Hinata has grown with these notions. Hinata was no longer nervous, embracing that he and his team are a unit, they're there to cover for each other. Of course he's always had the 'but we haven't lost yet' mentality, with stares scarier than most shounen protagonist go, but now he's climbed and broken the walls that seemed unpenetrable and believes he can do it again. It's pretty.

I think a way Haikyuu manages to make their team memorable is by making the duos on the team memorable. If I think Hinata, I think Kageyama. If I think Tsukki, I think Yamaguchi. If I think Daichi, I think Suga. If I think Noya, I think Asahi. Tanaka himself goes along with everyone. It allows for these simple but earnest characters to stand out as something memorable. The whole team(mostly) is this way because of this.

Damn, I thought Hinata hadn't failed in the end but at least she wasn't blocked again. This is a difficult match. Another good episode.

Cool game!!!

Both team are friendly. I expected Nekoma to be a bit more harsh behaving. Anyway this is good. Even Kenma's behaviors are quite well. The guy is amazing. The team is also well prepared and stable.

I like Kurasuno's team. They are giving chance to Hinata to learn. Even when he is the weak point, coach understood the importance of his playing and learning. Hinata may not get a better chance than this. The final shot he made was quite predictable for viewers I guess. It was the first guess to make. However now I think the duo is getting way stronger.
