 Yukito Ayatsuji has announced that he will begin writing a sequel to his horror light novel Another. The sequel, tentatively titled Another 2, will be set in the year 2001. The new novel is set to begin serialization this Fall.The original light novel has been adapted into both a manga and an anime. | Just finished this rather recently Another 2... wow hope it gets a more interesting name and another "GUESS WHO THE EXTRA IS" mystery. I was so close, my second guess was right. Hope I can get it right this time. well... assuming it is about the same thing. |

| Interestingly enough, when a sequel of Gosick was announced previously in December, it wasn't considered to be important enough to make it as a news, not even as a news brief in fact. I wonder why Another is important enough...? Well, not that I complain about that news. I didn't heard of this one so I would have missed it otherwise. Also, this time it's a "serialization" and not just a single volume if we believe the author's words on twitter. MEaning, it's going to be quite longer than the first Another. |

| The original was already really terrible; the sequel can maybe possibly be better, but it'll more than likely turn out to either be just as bad as the first one or even worse. Another is just not a good series by any stretch of the imagination and a sequel will doubtfully change that. |
