better episode than last week
But the characters are still weak
Sora is just an arrogant pervert, Shiro is expressionless and Stephanie a fool who always believes in them
at least the plot has improved, I think that the next episodes will be even better

Jibril is such a tease at the beginning XD.

Wow Steph's grandfather made some mistakes but he manage to stand up and fight to the end. Steph breaking down in tears was pretty good btw, seeing how her grandfather did all this, and giving her the key.

But Shiro and Sora manage to snag it and find the secret place XD.

Oh wow. I did not expect there to be a Doraemon reference, especially since the author of the light novel was Brazilian (unless that random joke was not actually in the light novel).

Awesome build-up episode

So, let me get this straight, Doraemon reference - Dora-chan scene, Dragon Quest reference - zoom spell, Civilization IV reference - head on a pole from the preview? Haven't watched/played these, so can't be sure.

Also, is the Evangelion reference where Sora is detective-interrogating Jibril? It was a really loong time ago when I last watched Evangelion.

Wow a lot of hate for Steph's character, that's a shame...she's the sweetest character in the series, nice to see Sora eat up his words in the end. The late king made one hell of a gamble.

I watched both eps 6 and 7, episode 6 was hilarious and despite it being grandiose it felt like a cop-out in a weird way. Episode 7 for me was quite touching, I like the fact that the anime shows us that humanity does have great potential and I'm hoping Jibril will stop mocking "Imanity" from now on as she really is an "empty-headed academic". ;)

Poor Steph, having to deal with two crazy NEET and a perverted angel who his mean with her xD
To add to that, the hilarious censorship. And her name became literally an insult! :P

Steph, stop denying your love for Sora!

The elf girl eyes (the one we saw in the first episodes) remember me the eyes of Nia from TTGL.

Sora sure have his priorities right... To the cat-human land!!!!

Jibril can be scary some times.

Of course, it was the Imanity that defied the human-beast... Eight times x)
Can't they do something right without Sora?

But damn, Sora can be so harsh with Steph and the Imanity.

Even the King had porn mag. Though, it always baffle me that anime always use porn mag. Who doesn't use the internet for porn in our days?

I didn't thought that Sora had put so much hope in Shiro. If he says that he's dumb and shit, then I must be dumber than a vegetable xD
I wonder what he meant by ''I met her 8 years from now''. Is she his step-sister or even his sister-in-law? That was unclear.

Of course, the King greatest secret was already half-solved by Sora :P

That King was such the crazier gambler ever. Though, his fate in his people, pushing him to sacrifice his life and honor, was touching.

Dropping the good parts is not exactly excuseable by that, you know...

Anyways, the two parts he's talking about, albeit not TC-ed on BT, are as follows:

Sora wondering how sex is possible:

I only included that last bit to give you a sense of where it occured.

Siro and Sora solving the mystery room (something that was cut from the anime:

And finally Sora's opinion on puzzles, and rules in general:

Nothing about those are real spoilers as they are cut material, that, while not completely irrelevant, are not part of the anime, and I just posted it to show some interesting things, that were cut... sadly, in my opinion...
The spoiler tags are present, because they are a bit of a wall...

EDIT: Also, about the first one, it isn't entirely complete, because Steph, when Sora was insulting her grandfather, was begging Tet, that even if it cost her life, she wanted to sock him one. Meaning that thoughts aren't neutered at the root, but are stopped before execution.

Well, this is a repost since the first time i posted this, it was in the wrong thread... (yes, i was that stupid)...

This episode was, imo, the best episode in the series so far. It wasn't the funniest (which was episode 2, imo), nor was it the most epic (episode 6 obviously), but the revelation that Steph's grandfather wasn't just a foolish king was freaking awesome (tho, i have this feeling that i should've seen this coming... -_-)

I have no idea WHY i loved that revelation tho, but i did -_-

Chuckled at the part:
Grandfather: It's the key where I keep something very important
Steph: i know about that! I heard men keep books they can't show to other people!

And, well, what do you know, as soon as Steph gives the key to Sora
Sora: Porn Stash!(Background)
Steph: My life is a mistake!

Hahahaha

Anyways, I know this is REALLY late, but u know how the anime showed us in episode 1 that Sora and his sister brought their electronic gadgets along, and had solar powered chargers to keep their electronics running.

Anyone else found it odd that a pair of NEETs and Hikikomoris (is that the right spelling? Basically shut ins) who hate the sight of sunlight, were even carrying solar powered chargers in the first place -_-... i mean, if u have no intention of stepping outside ur dark little rooms, when would u ever need SOLAR powered gadgets??? Answer: in a fantasy world with no electric sockets or plugs, of course!... -_-...

Not that it really matters, it's jus a small odd thing i suddenly thought abt

It's the most intriguing episode. Build the world (which was continously going on in the LNs, but anime cuts, anime cuts...)

Also, The reason that they have chargers on them is the same they have portable devices.
The portable devices are for when the are gaming, and they can't stop doing it, just because nature calls. the solar chargers are there for when there's a black-out.

Which is yet another thing the anime didn't mention :/
Well, still only minor gripes...

That booby massage Steph gave Shiro in the bath, plus that weird shampoo that Jibril recommended lol.

Hah, Kurami sure has a girly voice now lol.

Sora still has his sight set on the girl animal kingdom that needs to be conquered, and it seems they were powerful enough to defeat Jibril in a game, even the elves lost 4 times it seems :O .

Steph's a Steph it would seem.

Awww, Steph started crying after the harsh things Sora told her. So her grandfather only lost things that weren't of value to Imanity in the games he lost it seems.

WTF... Sora met Shiro when she was 3 years old O.o? Where they apart or what until then?

Awesome episode, can't wait for the next one!

the lesson from this anime:
Buy a few solar chargers, you don't know when you will (gravely) need it.

btw the service was well integrated to the story but i still prefer less service for NGNL. It feels more appropriate.

Well, I would agree that this show could do just as well without as much fanservice, but this doesn't bother me as much because it was tagged as "etchi" before the first episode. So it wasn't like I didn't know what I was getting into before I started and I could have decided not to watch for that reason; where fanservice of this scale would bother me is if I wasn't expecting it from the beginning and it felt more tacked on for the viewership (say SAO and Suguha).

But objectively speaking, yeah, they could have done without this shower scene. I am not as sure with other fanservice because for the most part I found their either funny or a nice means of delivering exposition, but this one had more of a "tacked on" feeling (i.e. we have to do x number scenes each episode) to it.

This episode was great for transition.

First, a relatively unneeded bath scene where the only thing we establish is that Jibril enjoys being bossed around and that Shiro hates baths. That shampoo contraption was just weird. +18 for sure!

Jibril is the first to question why Steph is still in love with Sora. I want to try a doughnut made by Steph too!

Then there was the Doraemon parody, coupled with the Evangelion one. Jibril's story of the Warbeasts was a great foreshadowing of things to come.

Everyone thought the old King was a fool, but Sora is the only one who thinks outside the box and finds a method to his madness. The fact that he was doing it for Steph in a way made it all the sweeter. The key to the secret vault! If the bed thingy led to the Kings legacy, I wonder where he hid his porn stash.... In fact, I wonder what Discworld's porn books would even look like..

That teleportation and Jibril's description of 50 Flugel ganging up to slice off a dragon's head. That happy expression when they succeeded in the flashback... reminded me of some Warcraft party clearing some badass quest. Flugel's don't take war all that seriously now do they, war in itself is like the ultimate real-time RPG for them.

Wednesday has been my favorite day of the week for 7 weeks now. I can't get enough of this show. This definitely needs a second season.

The old deus are still there, they are the number 1 ranked race now, the Flugel are ranked 6th. What the said in episode 5 was that they were created to serve on the front lines and kill gods, but that doesn't mean that they succeeded at it (unless of course they had more numbers), because if they had succeeded they would be ranked higher than the old gods.

a dozen of Imanity would have easily killed a werebeast(even if it ended in a MAD), yet the werebeasts are 2 positions higher than Imanity. Why? simply because the ranking is not based on who could kill whom, but at what cost (well, most likely how much elemental they have, which has little to do with killing, and has no actual direct relation to the performance in the wars.)
