But in parts of Canada at least, I'd say its one of the few highschool sports that are taken seriously, our school was really big on volleyball (local school tournaments, regionals, provincials etc) they'd make the guys play club volleyball as well. I never played though, so maybe it was just my area. That, and there isn't really the same kinda system for basketball, football, baseball etc that feeds into collegiate sports like the US has. So it's kinda cool to watch this, even if I never played. Caught up to the manga after episode 1. Love what there doing with the anime, those moments when they speed up the sequence to show a quick strike are awesome. |

Hmm they don't seem as similar to me that I would mistake one for the other (although maybe that's just because I'm a big fan of Uchiyama's voice). I always felt that Uchiyama had sort of a lisp (well maybe not a lisp but it's something about the way he speaks) which makes him really distinguishable. Man the bgm is so incredibly inspirational, it really compliments the anime. I didn't feel like it was dragging or that the pace was slow until I realized that the episode ended and that there wasn't a winner yet. But I guess that just means I really enjoyed it :) I like how Sugawara tried to give advice to Kageyama, and Kageyama tried to change his attitude/pov from when he was in junior high. Instead of complaining how the people aren't matching up to him, Kageyama is now matching with the setter. Hinata obviously has a lot of natural talent and would be even better when polished, but as of now, Kageyama seems even more amazing the way he is able to set the ball so accurately to Hinata. Also, loved Daichi's reaction to Hinata having his eyes closed XD |

| Good episode. Volleyball as a sport is boring compared to Basketball, Baseball and Soccer though. I hope there is more depth to the sport shown as the series goes along. |

Agreed, when I first read it after finding out its in the same magazine as Kuroko (I love Kuroko of course :]) expected crazy super shounen sports powers. However its realistic in terms of portrayal. (other then Kageyama's insane accuracy, and Hinata's insane flexibilitiy and jump, but without it it won't be fun to read/watch) |

| Absolutely wonderful episode. It reminded me of a possibly-never-to-be-adapted-into-anime 'Fantasista' -- a must read for sports manga fans -- in terms of its overall vibe, the attention to detail, as well as a protagonist who has unadulterated love for the sport. The fast toss, blind spike combination reminded me of the Midorima-Takao move against Rakuzan. |

| Pretty sad how Kageyama's team rejected him and didn't care to spike his throws anymore, I guess it shows how wanting to get the win too much can raise a hurdle against you and your team. Hinata's words were really great and got to Kageyama, I know they'll become really good friends and teammates. Hinata knows his height isn't fit for volleyball, but he still wants to be on the court and play, it's what he wants the most. Hinata's speed, reflexes and jumping ability are really top notch, they could probably be improved, but he can even hit balls with his eyes closed because he trusts Kageyama. Overall it was a great episode that showed "dat bromance", the bonding between that happens between guys. |

| Tobio is getting less and less tsundere episode by episode. I don't know who is more amazing; Hinata for his eye-closed spikes or Tobio for being an accurate passer. Hinata's speech at end, I had goosebumps... Rewatched that part. The OST was marvelous there. I am too much into this anime. It might be my fav. this season which will be the 2nd time a sports anime got to be my fav. if you count Chihayafuru. In love with the OP and ED too. damn. much. |

| The OST is growing on me too! It makes me so happy to see Tobio & Hinata work together :-) I like that they had to make mistakes in order to get it right in the end. It's more believable that way. Everyone was so funny and cool, especially Tsukishima at the beginning. Haha even though he can be really snarky I like him a lot. He's so cool~ |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| Fantastic episode! I liked the way of explanation why Tobio was called the King without the lackeys There was a lot of dialogue during the practice match, but the action that were shown was great Hinata spiking the ball with his eyes closed was just too much xD The funny facial expressions of the characters were really good, especially from Tanaka and Suga Can't wait to see how it ends next |
