| So far so good. Never thought a volley-ball anime would get that much attention from me... Hinata and Kageyama seem to slowly make a great pair. Though, I'm pretty much sure that his old ''King habits'' will often come back, especially during a real match. |

It's like what Tsookie (lmao @ that translation) said, "It's irritating". It's like this is a Kageyama / Hinata character arc, and it's done in such a cheesy way, Hinata's "Kageyama, I am here, I am here receiving your toss, here where nobody else wanted to be, look at me, don't you worry, I will always be here to receive your pass" is just corny, and that's supposed to serve as Kageyama's development? Eh. So far it's still extremely disappointing. |

| So much cringe in this episode. This really came off a little too cheesey at some points but it was still a somewhat enjoyable to watch. Hinata is pretty brave closing his eyes like that. |

| Episode nice and smooth, but only when the talk did not become too long. Narratively I liked it very much, but the credit goes mainly to the characters, not the events recounted. Characters are always the most pleasant and characterized, drawings and animations very good. The real drawback of this episode is often too fragmented to have the volleyball game, they should choose the best moments to talk about the characters. |

| This is so enjoyable, I totally understand the hype. No one can dislike Hinata, not even anyone in the anime's universe except for Tsukki but I'm sure he'll turn around. And Kageyama is absolutely adorable, hiding his dweebiness with his tough exterior but fighting for all the same things Hinata is. They have the same goals, they just go about them in different ways which is what makes them so close, yet bounce back so hard. Tanaka proves again he's amazing. Tsukki makes fun of the three and he comes back acting all playful and turning around absolutely irate to throw some smack talk back in their face. "That Tsukki! I'm going to crush him!", of course Hinata joined in too. The way he gets mad whenever someone talks trash to his friends puts a smile on my face every time. I hope he gets more developed as the series goes on, making him more so an actual main character than an enjoyable comic relief / best friend supporting character. So Kageyama got the king title from his own teammates and it isn't something good. It was because he was so egocentric and so arrogant that they left his side willingly, allowing them to lose and crush his dream of staying on the court. I had predicted it but that's sad. I was excited when Hinata fought back saying "It was junior high. He tosses to me now, there's no problem. It makes no difference to me!" with the music queuing in. What a lovable little guy. And that speech moved Kageyama enough to see how similar the two were when he went for the spike and in another way told him "I am here, and I'm here to stay". Kageyama is finally being a team player. He's enhancing his teammates skills, not overpowering them and hoping that they'll be good enough to follow along. :) So much character develop already, at least for Kageyama. Even if they're simple characters it's nice. Hinata's speech about knowing he's not cut out for spiking yet deciding he's going to fight against his own body to do it because he loves it was nice. | Even tho I've been pretty much hooked since the first episode, I was not expecting to enjoy this show this much. The visuals are top-notch, and really consistent, always nice bits of animation here and there. What really made me watch the show are the OSTs, since MHA I've listened to a lot of Yuki Hayashi's compositions, especially his work for Haikyuu and even tho I'm not really into sports I couldn't wait to see how it was used in the actual show, and I'm totally in love, very sync with the action. Also I want to say I wasn't expecting the characters to be so great, Kageyama's growth is really well done. And I think it's a nice move from the author to put the main rivalry in the spotlight in the very beginning of the story, that way characters can have a nice developement and become likable very quickly. |
