| Akane is predominantly colored in blue. She's that maiden desperate to be saved, a damsel-in-distress if you will. Kana is predominantly colored in red: she's fierce, may have a foul mouth, may be rude, but she's resilient when fan attacks her online. Their words will not bring Kana down! Right now, I'm a Kana fan; but, it might change depending on Season 2's progress. |

| Someone please clarify, as I genuinely don’t understand; how did so many people become attached to Akane, to the point it’s almost a split between her and Kana? Kana was put in the show in such a way that attachment is an obvious result, whether for viewers or for Aqua, but to me, Akane was never given opportunities for viewers to become attached anymore than Ruby has. That is, inevitably some people will root for Akane just as some do for Ruby, but they will be a minority, because Akane and Ruby weren’t pushed in that way. Yet of course, Akane fans aren’t really a minority. Can someone point out the “points of attachment” for Akane? I like Akane, but she literally never even came across as a viable “candidate” for Aqua? |

| I don't care about shipping, I don't care what romantic arrangements end up resulting. But on a level of craft, Kana is the outstandingly written character in this show. At least as far as evidenced by the episodes so far. |
| Lots of good points over here, so I'm gonna add mine. I'm attached to Kana's character because she's that type who works hard as an actress despite the neglect she's been given by her parents, managers, supporters, etc. as a child actress. So, I lreally admire her in episode 4 in the karaoke scene with Aqua as she finally admitted her flaws. She grew up over time by listening to her superiors and working well with her colleagues. Akane is somewhat relatable to fans who underwent depression, cyberbullying, etc. I love her as a person and as a stage actress. Who could top her earnest attitude in the LoveNow arc. What I like best about her are her detective skills. She could really make a good detective given her insighful mind and acting skills. Who do I prefer between the two? I couldn't say. Both are incredible women with very admirable talents. None of them should end up with Aqua (as the guy's first and only love is Ai Hoshino). Kana and Akane should romantically end up with guys who'll cherish them and love them for who they are. |
