marquin2: avid manga reader and anime enthusiast
[Oshi no Ko] fired up my ardent love to read the manga first before the anime. Horimiya: The Missing Pieces is making me reread the manga again. Demon Slayer teaches me to love family and friends. The Promised Neverland rekindled my desire to read manga and watch anime, as well as maintain the hope for a better tomorrow. Fruits Basket provides me happy thoughts and a happy heart. Attack on Titan reminds me to keep up the fight. My Hero Academia reignites my hope to be a superhero even in small ways. Chainsaw Man shows me how broken people can still be repaired with love even after they fall into the abyss. And Fullmetal Alchemist teaches me how one can acquire a "Fullmetal Heart".
Manga and anime taught me life lessons I wouldn't find anywhere else.

I use my Samsung tablet to read manga. That probably the only thing I use my tablet beside scrolling on TikTok.
On one hand it is good because there was a lot of things that got you interested, you just needed some moderation when watching it. TBH I'd rather have a bountiful season, than dread a whole week for the next anime I am more or less interested.
Besides Frieren, I have Monster and Mushishi, which was recently translated to my language since it is either impossible to find or too expensive to buy it in English. Do you know if there are people that just buy single volumes? I mean, they might like the series, but not enough to buy a physical copy, however if a really good volume is released, they buy just that single volume? I'm curious, it isn't something I would do though.
Did any of the volumes of your Oshi no Ko come with any gifts? Like a small poster or a bookmark? Frieren has some nice shots I wouldn't mind getting a small poster as a gift.
That's a lot of stationery, how long do they last? I hope that you manage to keep that promise you made to yourself then!
Aren't you in a paradox then? You can only become independent when you stop being so dependent of others, well at least considering you want to be independent. Besides, even if you were to get married, wouldn't you want a partner you could rely on? You have to balance things out, know when to be independent and when to be dependent.
Since you mentioned food, why don't you start with that? When your folks are cooking something, offer your help, cook stuff that can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and than you vary the protein and any side dishes, if you like to eat different dishes everyday. Not all cooking is time consuming, you just need to know what to cook.
Sounds like a very independent step to me, we all have to start from somewhere, don't worry you will get the gist.
Don't be, "deficient" are those that think they know-it-all, life is all about learning. Didn't you learn to talk? To walk? Didn't you learn your subjects in school? And then in college you learnt more? Even in your job you had to learn the trade on how to work specifically there, didn't you? We are constantly being taught different lessons, but not all of us learn what is being taught.
Yes, you do, I hope that you feel like you are doing a good job!
I don't actually pay attention to the artwork or covers. I'm just used to reading quickly because I read a lot of books and since they don't have any pictures and just words, it just a habit. Since I also read manga on my tablet, I just have a habit of scrolling right onto the next page even before I finish reading the text bubble. While I am a fast reader I still take long to catch up or finish a manga because once I put it down and take a break from reading it I sometime end up not picking it back up until like maybe a month a later.
I considered Frieren with the same reasoning as you, I found it weird how an anime I didn't even consider when I was picking my seasonal animes had one of the best rating here so I gave it a shot, binge read the manga and now I even bought all the volumes out. Yeah, their release pattern is so weird, but to be honest I don't mind since I enjoy the quality of the story, if the author needs this time to write peak fiction, I am down. I mean, I even bought the volumes and I don't usually do that, I have now 3 manga series in my possession.
They from the same series. It just I can't remember what anime it is from. I might have watched it, but it might be Azur Lane or an anime kinda like it.
The New Year one is from a rhythm game "'Hatsune Miku: Project Sekai'
