| i always like to see lief, makes me somewhat excited to know he's always close to getting to thorfinn - not the discount one tho. canute is scheming, never thought i'd say those words. ketil's son will surely play a more interesting role, intrigued to see where this goes. |

| Canute has really undergone so much development, the most if not for Thorfinn. He has become a very intelligent and capable man and I wonder what will happen when Canute and Thorfinn reunite. |

| Great build up episode, Olmar is quite the clown eh? Comedy was well timed as it was not placed within the more serious themes of the series. Canute has amazing screen presence, he's a fantastic character so far and I love to watch him grow and scheme. I hope Leif finally reunites with Thorfinn after as he now has a concrete lead to his whereabouts. | This episode is yet another look of how much King Canute has changed, not only with his tactics in his practice duel against his personal guard, but also down to how to finance his war ambitions without taxing the general public to kingdom come. A golden opportunity was presented to him when Ketil arrived with his idiotic son, Olmar. I will say that seeing Olmar acting like a doofus brought many laughs out of me, which was mostly needed after so many serious episodes that have happened so far. Still, it did lead to the two meeting Leif and his adopted son, "Thorfinn". This chance meeting should bring Leif tantalizingly close to finally seeing the actual Thorfinn again after so many years of looking. I really hope it happens now. =) Later on, Olmar's attempt oh showing his sword skills by cutting down a cooked pig was facepalm worthy, but because he's the son of Ketil, Canute has an easy route to requisitioning Ketil's farm, which would no doubt lead him to Thorfinn again, who has vowed to never fight anymore. If these two do meet again, I can only wonder how tense it would be and what words would be said between the two of them. Sometimes, you can't escape the powers of fate, no matter how hard you try. =( |

| Nice episode.The duel at the beginning clearly shows how he is eager to win at any cost. Seems like Ketil has fallen into a trap. Leif is back and we are introduced to Bug Eyes too.Seems like he is pretty close to Thorfinn now. |

| Canute is starting to grow on me as a character. I can respect his decision making as a king. He's trying to find ways to keep funding his military settled in Denmark. Which could potentially mean requisitioning of other land. Ketil's timing couldn't be even more perfect. Considering Ketil's farm land is filled with vast resources and crops. Ketil's son Olmar is still prideful and foolish as ever. I wonder what Canute has in plan for him. |
