I agree with this. I got the impression Inori was just saying "Gai told me to say ily bffl."
And clearly Shu should read up on his history and become a hero of justice like Liu Bei in ROTK XD.

Uh, ROTK isn't exactly history.
The real Liu Bei was quite shrewd and extremely ambitious, but a gifted politician and therefore able to provide the appearance of adhering to Confucian values (in other words, an even better ideal for Shu!).
The more noble version was created for the novel, where emphasis was placed on certain attributes of many characters for moral, political, and thematic reasons. Liu Bei, being the one favored by the writer, was made the protagonist, and therefore needed to embody the currently in-vogue Confucian morals.

Cocytus? It seems the new guy was referring to Inori. Which is not a good thing.

Shu is improving at least. And we got to see that other side of Gai. Pretty interesting character development there. I just hope we get to know more about Inori too.

Everything is cliche because ideas have been used up again and again. Probably difficult to think up of a new plot that will satisfy everybody. :\ I loved all the action in this episode, but the plot's just messed up. Seriously.

Doesn't matter if it's true or not... the meer fact she said it kills any chance for a Shu x INori pairing in my book. Realistically speaking, Shu can never trust her words now... He'll always wonder in the back of his mind whether she's saying nice things to him because she wants to or because Gai told her to. Even if she tells him it was a lie and he'll have to wonder if that was another order from Gai to make him trust her again.

Inori was the one that killed the relationship even if she did mean anything she said.

At this point, Gai and Segai are the only characters I actually give a crap about. I like the story, art, plot, development, whatever, but I cannot stand Shu. And if Inori does end up with someone, I hope it's Gai because he seems to be the only one with a proper head on his shoulders.

That said, I feel that Segai is going to turn out to be pretty awesome!evil.

Both Shu and Gai got better in my eyes after this episode. Cool to see Gai's other side, made me dislike him less. Shu starting to show that he does have the will and courage to actually do stuff, starting to like this kid. Inori is great as always, loved it when she was warning those guards not to come.

I wonder who Cocytus really is, first thing that came to my mind is that blonde girl who Inori resembles and the one that Gai knows. From what they said, it makes sense to me. Can't wait to see the next ep.

I hope Shu will finally man up to kill someone

pleas go back to ep 1 and 2 and re watch, and you will see that shu already killed quite a lot.

Please go back to episode 1 and 3 and rewatch yourself. As it stands, Endlave's are remote controlled (minus Daryl's Ayase's steiner). You'd be surprised at the subtle details, and the pilots being external is actually one of the more obvious points.

i think that not shu
that the other shu
see his color eye

Very well done episode. Seeing the behind the scenes Gai makes it all the more better IMO. Now as for the remote control droids, I think you guys are over looking the obvious. In order to control something remote, the device would need some way to translate the sensory perception of the bot, maybe even its balance to the user. I see no reason there should not be a shock to the system if you lose your bot while jacked in. That totally makes sense to me. (case in point, what happened in the Matrix when characters got pummeled?)

I don't trust this Segai character at all. Oh and BTW, I'm not surprised they knew. I think they were using it as a shell game to see whether Shu would side with them or not.

I didn't really love the episode as a whole, especially the extremely convenient circumstances that brought about the end of the episode, but I liked seeing Gai and Shu have a somewhat honest talk. Shu is blind as hell, and it seems all too easy for Gai and Inori to manipulate him. Though he may as well trust them at this point. He doesn't have many options. And walking away sure as hell isn't one of them.

Inori dual wielding was slightly unexpected but possible and looked so badass. xD

I like how Shu still has doubts, rather than going in one episode 'Sure, i'll do it' and never doubting them again.

Interested in the other girl shown with Inori...

Wow I really did like this episode for some reason, or maybe it was just the BGM. Either or :P
Kenji is ... kind of awesome lol XD Weird how Shu went from NO NOT DOING THIS to AWW GAI to HAHAHA IMA HELP YOU NOW o_O Why the heck did he change his opinion?!
Interesting how Gai killed Kyo. I actually kind of liked what he was saying but it felt kind of weird. Their fight was ... uhm, kind of random I thought lol
Gai taking down the robot was kind of cool but weird. How the heck did he do it with ONE GUN?! Seriously lol. Plus all the shots missed everyone, OF COURSE ... *sigh*
Did Shu combine Inori and Kenji's Voids? Interesting how he destroyed both satellites but I guess that was the plan? I wonder who that "other girl" is that Inori resembles? I'm guessing that's who flashed by anyway. Hmm, wonder at the end about the "girl" ...

I still cannot believe that Shu hasn't asked Gai what they are trying to accomplish. Or what their end goal is at least.

I officially hate Shu with a passion. He is a bitch like no other in anime. I thought he would man up finally and i was let down. I truly wish Gai had Shu power. I hope with a passion Shu dies a horrible death at the end. He knew what he was getting into now he scared to kill.

Shu can save the world/universe and he still will be the number 1 bitch in anime history.

LMAO at the satellite suddenly falling out of orbit. I mean, seriously, radio waves are interrupted and the satellite starts to fall? There's no friction in space! Nothing should suddenly fall out of orbit. And Shu sucks for punching Gai and trying to start a fight. If the writers are trying to make Shu seem like less of a wuss, they've succeeded, but now he's more of a hot tempered douche bag. Episode 3/5.

Wow that certainly didn't take long for Gai to find out about the transmitter.

So Shu decides to go with the plan only when he finds out that "Mr Perfect" aka Gai is capable of being in a vulnerable state like any other human? It seems to me that rather than having a problem with the way Gai run things, Shu was just jealous of him personally.
