moOnday_8 said: I've had this manga on my plan to watch for about a year or so, and now that it got adapted into Anime I might as well jump on it ( Wayyyy much harder to avoid spoilers). The first episode is off to a very strong start, it really did what it was supossed to. Leaving a strong n possitive impression. When I go into a sports series I tend to focus on realism for the majourity, then comes team play, game strategies and that builds up my enjoyment (along other aspects). I love the fact that the series establishes from the very start that this is NOT about being buddy buddy with each other, and is all about becoming a powerhouse by any means possible. Which I find it well done and excuted, cause I won't later be surprised or get annoyingly thrown off when these kids start DBZing TF out during the games. MC's motivation was well implemented and executed, n the sound design, characters expressions, were all on point. The animation is also looking solid so this was most definitely a banging start. Looking forward for next weeks episode Absolutely agree with you! I also like it this way, not buddy to each other, but a harsh reality. I like Ao Ashi for its friendship and Blue Lock for its death game championship. |

| Damn bro I don't even watch football, but so far this is as hype as they hyped it up!!! Animation slaps OSTs fucking SLAPPPP Shame that they censored the Lock Off as you all say I am really enjoying the ridiculousness of the story lmfao I hope all things stay this way. |

| Really interesting first episode. This is probably one of the most hyped anime of this season other than SxF and Chainsaw Man. Not really into sport anime but I'm feeling the hype for this series after the first episode. Looking forward to the next! |

| Not sure how legal the Blue Lock project is. I wonder how absolutely no one was like, "yeah no!". Like they didn't even sing any legal documents, "yeah the rules of the game said physical violence was allowed but i'm still going to sue after this program ends". Did the parents sing any legal documents, did they not read the fine print?. But I guess no one sees what goes on in the dubious blue government building. Also the characters are like 17, pretty sure them entering out of their own will is still illegal. Like who funded this, why did the taxpayer money go into jailing high schoolers in the big blue jail facility which is totally visible from a mile away. I wonder what the Blue Lock canon Human Rights Watch would think about this. I wonder what Ego Jinpachi would say in court. "Like yeah we totally lied to the kids and their parents and locked the kids in some dubious facility, but it was for the future of Japanese football". Also I don't really know what there is to lose in not being able to play for the national team, when you make the actual money from club football. So if we were measuring how egotistical the characters were, they all lost. "Oh no I can't play i the event that only comes up every four years". I can't really understand the logic behind saying that they need a first class attacker, when the Japanese national team has first class nothing. Like at the least train the defenders, midfielders and goalkeepers to be first class before starting the project. Where is the Blue Lock defenders program, midfielders program and goalkeepers program. The first episode was kind of fun I guess. |
