| It was okay, the comedy cut in at abnormal moments but didn't have too many issues aside from that. May have to check out other shows before i decide if i can commit to this. |

| Great! Not that it has seen much in the narrative, but as the beginning is interesting, you make it clear all the issues which could arise of the possible questions. Very nice character design that brings to ancient times, when the moe had not yet infested the world of animation, that longing is growing inside me. Even the color design is excellent, and along with the chara design, recreate that old style in vogue many years ago in anime. The Studio Mappa has been working well, the animations are dicrete, I hope not wrong even the next episodes.Plot interesting enough, I do not know the manga, but I can not disappoint. Good set design, catchy soundtrack. |

| This reeks of old school style. Even with the 2015 animation, it's obvious in the character designs and the development of the story. While I'm not a big fan of old school, I like the brisk pace, and the classical shounen feel (as opposed to what shounen transformed into in the recent years) looks entertaining enough, so I'm on board. My only complaint is the character design, but nothing could be done about it if they wanted to stay true to the mangaka's original design from 90s, so guess I'll just shut up and endure. |

| Well this episode is good and does bring a nostalgic feel. Though the ED theme is pretty catchy while I am not a fan of the OP theme... Though being impaled by that spear must have been really painful. |

| Fun but a bit shallow. Those 2 joining together, even just tor show, feels silly. Why doesnt Tora simply run away if it's afraid of the spear? Still if it turns out to offer more than simply a "defeat this spirit" episodic progression then I'll stick around. |

| Getting to hear Komatsu Mikako yell at Hatanaka Tasuku once again >w> Brings back fond memories of one of my favorite anime journeys. I can't express how much I enjoyed this. Like many people said, despite being made in 2015 this still has a real sturdy old school vibe. It feels so similar to Yu Yu Hakusho too which was one of my first and still my favorite shounen, and anime series in general. Gah so much joy <3 I may just have to read the manga when I can. Tora's weird eyes will take a little getting used to though. babymimi said: THANK YOU. | Great episode! Very funny and the seiyuu voicing Ushio is so refreshing! Much better than hearing Yuki Kaiji or Jun Fukuyama all the damn time. I don't dislike them tbh. Rikiya Koyama as Tora is very splendid too! I'm really gonna' like this one. |

| Coming fresh off the OVAs, I must say I'm not too sure about Ushio's new seiyuu. Sounds like less of a kid. Otherwise I'm digging this new version just fine. Hopefully this season will get past episodic shenanigans at some point. | Decent start, looks promising. Also, if you don't like the classic art style then just don't watch the show at all. Don't get why people have to be such modern art style whores (if that's a thing lol) and bash a series just because the style is old school. Would've missed out on a bunch of fantastic anime, such as The Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Rose of Versailles, Hokuto no Ken, and Yu Yu Hakusho, if shot down every series that aired before 2000. |

| Finally, even though it's a revamped 90s style Anime, I'm still into it. I liked Ushio's personality. He's pretty bad ass. He's not some pussy beta MC. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if he had his own harem, he deserves it. It's refreshing to return to classic shounen roots because I'm fucking sick and tired of pussy, beta bitch boys who look like battered alpacas and their harem passe in shit series that pretend to have a plot but the focus is mainly on fanservice. It's not even tasteful fanservice anymore, there is good fanservice and shit fanservice. Unfortunately we've had too much of the latter that it has tarnished the image of the Anime and manga industry as a whole. Let's admit it, Anime has really got downhill the past few years. I'm not surprised why people hate Anime and think it's shit. Most people think Anime is purely hentai or fanservice, thanks to the bullshitfuckery that has been pumped out of the industry lately. All the plots are the same and out of a hundred releases in a year, you'll probably only find about ten series that are either gems (rare) or remotely good. |
