| imo saber by herself is a good character, but the power/moral dynamic between her and kiritsugu is what makes her a great character |

| I don't like her, she is cringe. Not fit for the status of a 'king'. A bad leader. She is a stickler. She can't make any independent decisions. Her mind is flat. Not fit for the Main Cast. But imo she can be a very good side character tho, little impactful one, maybe someone like Shigechi. Well, don't worry, this is just an example of how much of a good side character she can be. I definitely won't compare Saber with Shigechi, because you already know Shigechi got better developments till the end anyway. |

| Nowhere near god tier but still one of the best characters in all of TYPE-MOON. Her character arc and dynamics with Kiritsugu are what made Fate/Zero a fantastic show. |

| VN Saber is flawless. She's not nearly as well-written in the anime, but still has moments which are reminiscent of the VN, so pretty good. :)) still, if you're a big fan of Artoria/Saber, i can't recommend the Fate/Stay Night [Realta Nua] Visual Novel enough. it does her far more justice as a character than the anime (much better than Fate/Zero in particular) and makes her frankly one of the best and most lovable characters ever in anything i've experienced. imo it justifies her overwhelming cultural popularity and then some. if you haven't yet, please do yourself the favour of setting aside some time to at least experience the first route, Saber's route, which is frankly the beating heart of the Fate franchise in it's entirety. i've already said this on MAL before but tl;dr: if you haven't read it: VN Saber > VN Sakura > VN & Ani Rin > Ani Sakura >/= Ani Saber (VN Illya is in her own league though.) |

Depends on the Fate series, I think she's great in Stay Night and Hollow Ataraxia (in other words when Nasu wrote her) but I think she is one of the few characters that Urobuchi mishandled in Zero, exaggerating her chivalry and naivety to the point she came across as stupid. Stay Night Saber wouldn't give a shit what Gilgamesh had to say about her ruling style for example. |
