Unfortunately, this episode was so boring. Despite the occasional moments of brilliance, the whole detective thing was just boring.

A&B part was the anime original episode. Shaft mourned for the late Director Ichikawa Kon. The dead body monument parody was funny. Ookusa was parody of Air TV. (Fujiyoshi's line "Key chigai" may also be a parody of the line of Ichikawa's movie "Kichigai (気違い&季違い)") Kaere was Evangelion (that was too explicit!) Meru was ... Sailor Moon? Maria was definitly Gundam the last shooting.
C part was manga based episode. I laughed at Ikkyuu's (rather Sugita's) wish "I wanna be high mobile type."

Wahahahah, pure gold!

"Anyone can see that you, Mayo-san! ...are not the killer." ROFL

Also loved that Kafuka started her own "next life" religion. I swear, she's the scariest person in this entire series.

I quite liked the detective story. I didn't get any of the murder references except for Evangelion but I still liked the concept of the anime oriented murder victim poses.

The next life wish is a brilliant idea and could catch on :)

I still think this season is the exact opposite of the first one. Instead of getting worst it's gotten progressively better. Well, comedy is subjective anyway.

I loved both parts. But the tanabata/tanzaku wishes were much funnier than the detective skit.

I really loved this episode. Kaere's parody of Lilith from End of Evangelion made me love it even more.

This episode was sort of a disappointment as it had too long of a first segment and not enough of the regularly scheduled antics sought from the series.Although the Anime references it poked at were cool, they were only worth a smirk here and there. I felt this was something of an experimental type of episode like the "Despair Channel" one and that Maedax-G is just trying to maximize the creative possibilities with the show. I only really enjoyed the second segment though even though it was shorter than the usual.

The detective story would have been better in black and white. I'm a fan of film noir so I enjoyed this.

Wow, what a great episode xD. (I'm wondering, why I didn't watch it before...). In my opinion a detective story was cool for me (but it would be great if it was less boring.) But this part with an Evangelion reference was the best xD.
Even an end has a start xD.

Okay, the detective thing was random, but it had its moments.

The wishes thing was great though. Nozomu hung himself as a wish and taught Maria a new kanji! Even Komori had funny wishes, to be either a shellfish or a pistachio in the next life (both shut inside a shell)!
Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes:
"Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde
"Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro
"Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay
"Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna
"Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti
"Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one
"Oran is all that is stated in his sig and more." orbitzz

If the detective story is an example of what happens when SZS takes itself slightly more seriously and bucks the "Nozomu complains about something, Kafuka provides counterpoint, insert examples here" trend the show's gotten itself into, then frankly, I'm all for it. My favorite episode so far, and easily the best Zoku episode.

Plus, they found a clever way to write Matoi out of it, instead of just tossing her in the background without any lines (barring "Jiiiiii~"). So that's cool.

Very original detective story)
Komori wa sugoku kawaii ^__^

Although the detective story wasn't particularly hilarious, I liked it a lot, it was entertaining.

You know, I feel the opposite to most of you, the detective skit seemed too short to me. I wish it was the whole episode, because including that next-life bit was kind of jarring, just switching the mood so suddenly like that. Besides that, I loved the detective bit tons, on the one hand it was a perfect parody of (the better side of) that style, but at the same time it retained originality and humor (much more dry than usual).

Yeah. Liked how well the visuals in the first part conveyed this old school Shouwa feel. In a way it's quite random to have a detective skit out of nowhere, so it's in the spirit of the show. Plus it was relaxing. Although it's true season 1 was a little slow with 2 parts per episode, 3 parts an episode is hard to keep up with sometimes, and a break is welcomed.

Step up from the last episode, did enjoy the whole detective part because it had a decent immersive story. Comedy wasn't too strong though, and it as a shame not to get kuusou rumba for this one.

It's like I watched a wrong show because of that detective half. Lmfao. Itoshiki-sensei's harem all became a yandere. Haha.

In the second half (or more like 1/8), Itoshiki-sensei became the tanzaku himself and yet he didn't die. You'll never die, maan.

"Maybe he's trying to take a shit, but the shit just won't come out."

What I got from the first bit was that the girls were justifying their desire to be in a harem for Itoshiki only to find out that he's not into that kind of stuff. Forget the rent, the Detective needs a new bottle of anti-dandruff shampoo.

Kafuka quickly derailed the topic about wishes into some sort of freaky cult-like take on reincarnation kek

of it along with comedy. The second part was also funny especially when Sensei turns himself into a tanzaku.
