| I really like how the series showed just how hard an incest relationship would be, they know that people will not accept it and they themselves know that it's weird and that they shouldn't do it but they still love each other and are committed to have a romantic relationship. I truly believe that they will keep their romantic relationship between themselves and a couple of close friends that have accepted them. The whole journey that lead to them having romantic feelings for each other was really strange, Kirino just really admired her brother but the words from glasses-girl made her doubt her own feelings when she was little and it made her think in a new light she developed romantic feelings for her brother and she knew it was wrong, eroges where a place where she could inject herself into the sisters role that loved her brother and be okay with it. Well i'm just glad there's stuff like there out there "if it's been thought off it's probably happened" i'm sure there are people struggling with feelings like this in real life and just like eroges with Kirino maybe this can help some people out there sort out their feelings. |

| Hahaha!! Sooo..let me get this straight. They ended every possible relationship for a moment of their taboo. I mean if your gonna go full garbage. Stay nasty and end it nasty. Don't pull a "It was just pretend to get the fantasy out of the way" nah ,you can't do that after you kissed your little sister like a lover. That shit aight gonna go back to being the same. And lets say they did this before and they went back to normal. Why not get it done in secret, Clean your hands with clorox and keep living their normal life. It wasn't necessary for Kyousuke to cut off literally every relationship he had with the waifu's! what?! even in the most unlikely scenario this ending is 0% chance of being the better choice. It sadly is even more believably that kirino and Kyousuke would end up together. Not all that unnecessary ass pull they created of an ending. |
| Damn, I wasn't expecting that Manami would go all out like this. Kyousuke has proven again that the love for his sister is indeed genuine. And compared to others I'm not really creeped out by it. Sure, the thought of having a relationship like that with my sister doesn't sound enticing, but I'm just watching two fictional characters here and don't self insert myself into the situation. The finale could've been a bit more spectacular for my taste, it was still good, tho. Worthy conclusion for a really fun ride. The final scene at AKIHABARA was also a nice choice, ideal place to drop the curtain. |

| And there I was hoping they would remain bro and sis...guess they had to push for the incest route. Felt forced at first, but at least they gave us some back story as to why Kirino felt that way about Kyosuke. Don't know about Kyosuke himself though...love, I guess? What would I know... I'll consider this as part of season 2 and leave my thoughts here. Slightly better overall than the first season...still not due to the incest though. While it does seem like they screwed up the ending, that kiss on the cheek Kyosuke gave Kirino + the whole life counselling bit seemed to hint that their relationship wasn't really over...or maybe it was, but in truth they were in love with each other, which is why none of them would hook up with someone else? Sort of like star-crossed lovers living under the same roof? What would I know... 8/10 |
| I can only describe Oreimo as one huge mood whiplash. On one hand, it was fairly obvious from the start just how much incestuous themes are present in this show. On the other hand, I had always wished the author would surprise us somehow. The direction this anime took left a bitter taste in my mouth. The way they portrayed Manami as some kind of villain even though she was literally the only one making sense in this show. That random ass Meruru cosplayer falling in love with Kyousuke at the last minute. The way Kyousuke shamelessly confessed in public complete with big speakers his incestuous love for his sister or the whole ending itself spitting at our face. I've always known deep down that the incest ending was the only way to go even though I still hoped they would surprise us so if you're gonna bother building that relationship then the least you could do is stick and commit to it not completely reset everything. The ending would be so much better if they showed the aftermath of the other girls because it made it seem like Kyousuke just cut connections with them even though they built some genuine friendship over the year. I'm also not a fan of how quickly Kyousuke changed over to Kirino even though we got a whole ass crying and depression scene from his breakup with Kuroneko which is a shame because I actually did like Kyousuke as a main character. He felt different and was actually a great person. I'm also really conflicted over Kirino because I can fully admit that the show lacks any direction without her because everyone somehow flocks to her. Basically, she's the center of it all. Kyousuke met all those girls through her and everything he does is for her but it's really hard for me when Kirino herself is such an unlikable bitch. I can appreciate a good tsundere. My all time favorite character is a tsundere herself but for some reason, Kirino just exudes so much malice. I was also rooting Ayase even though it was obvious she'll lose but whatever. At least I'm done with it all. |

Like i said it all in the review, not bad show, but not much good end. Cause the open ending this show had, really make me pissed from the inner of my heart. Oh, come on! That ending should do better that that :( PS: since im too lazy to reviewing season 1,im officially score ALL SEASON (1 & 2 with the ONA) 7/10 Season 1 9/10 <<< More score because i like scene with kuroneko. Thats my thumbs up! Season 2 6/10 <<< More score because the plot really touch my heart, really. But i kust lowerring down the score cause shit ending and rushed plot to compressing these season. | What the fuck did I just watch? How can this even be? Every single girl in this series is better than fucking Kirino, and then he goes and dump them for the sake of Kirino, but that's not only that, what the fuck was that promise about, what was all that dump for? If they were to be in a relationship only up to their graduation there was no point in being in a relationship at all, they even kissed and then that's it? They keep it secret and go on with their everyday lifes like it's nothing? Them being together would be the only acceptable ending, not being this way makes so that everything was just pointless, their relationship development was just for naught. I don't know, I just feel like it was really poorly written, I like some incest, but something just didn't work out. |

| Still I think the MC had his BRAIN DAMAGED when Kuroneko transferred school lol. He genuinely loves her sister, not the family type of love. He rejected Ayase and Kuroneko before that bizarre marriage agreement. Kirino much or less has the same feelings. Season 1 was a good slice of life sisbro relationship where the MC was fixing his relationship with the bratty imouto. Season 2 is a fucking mistake. When they pursued the romance in this season, starting with Kuroneko, it became dumpster fire. Whoever he ends with it doesnt matter but it just betrays what the show was about. Although fair enough for finishing it with a finesse like that. I'll take the fire but still a dumpster. |
| seeing this thread makes me realize people really take anime too seriously, the premise of this show was supposed to be stupid from the get-go (legit the name is My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute why would you expect the MC to end up with anyone besides his sister) granted sure you could say the ending is what makes it 10x worse but in reality I’m sure Kyousuke got what he wanted, he patched up his relationship with his sister and still has friends to hang out with which I think is perfectly fine; also lastly I feel like people don’t realize you can love multiple people, just because Kyousuke loved Ruri originally doesn’t mean he couldn’t love Kirino as well, so if you think about it with morality in mind of course choosing his sister seems bad but if they weren’t related people wouldn’t bat an eye maybe I would’ve been upset if Saori confessed and he turned her down since she’s obviously the best character in this show, but otherwise I don’t really care |

| We've finally reached the end with the climactic finale. It's graduation for Kyousuke and longtime friend Manami, however chaos ensues shortly afterwards as Kirino and Manami fight over Kyousuke's love. Manabi makes some incredibly obvious and honestly agreeable statements regarding the immorality of incest and finally rounds out the ring of confessions to Kyousuke with essentially every girl now having fallen for him. Yet in spite of all that, he still chooses to go down the path of taboo and marry his own sister. That kiss though. How can an moment feel so wrong yet satisfying at the same time?? God do I hope I never have to experience watching something like that again. And after all of that, they still choose to go back to being just regular siblings (at least in public). Man they are truly such weird, weird characters. At the very least it is nice to know they won't continue this honestly disgusting relationship forever, so all's well that ends well. |

| This is an ending that was unfortunately made deliberately divisive, which anyone can tell was done because the publication got cold feet. Despite that, if you look at subtle nuances of the final few moments that on the surface aim to crush the idea of them continuing to be together as lovers, you can spot the hidden truth. It took me a bit of time after watching it to really decipher that for myself. I think it's left ambiguous in this way intentionally due to the powers that be strong-arming the writer. I read that one member's post from 2017 on this board and I have to agree. It's a leave-it-to-the-imagination plot point that in my mind stands to reason they continued to be romantically involved, but hide it from the public and the audience for the sake of the novel's publisher trying to "save face". It's disappointing on that note, but also something that, if you've enjoyed the series and its characters a lot as I have, will leave you thinking about it for a while. I can't really decide how I feel about it score wise. I gave it a 7/10 but I tend to change my mind often. Could be higher at some point. Kirino really grew on me towards the end of Season 2. Kuroneko is amazing and likely my favorite character in the show, and I was rooting for her for a while. That is, until the last few episodes of season 2. I still wanted Kuroneko to not be broken of course. She deserves happiness. But by the last episode of S2, I was on board team Kirino. Her backstory and her tsundere nature created a really likeable image for me of her. |

| This is for these three ONA episodes after season 2 = First of all, its a shame that these 3 episodes are not on Crunchy, so I had to watch them in low quality. As for the episodes, they were enjoyable for what they were. Of course, I didn’t like was that Kyousuke and Kirino became a couple. I say this because their interactions were just seen as comedic throughout all episodes of this anime franchise, and nothing to be taken serious at the end of the day. I mean, if this anime wanted us to take its romance serious, then Kyousuke should have ended with Kuroneko or Ayase. Even the glasses girl would have made sense if he ended with the male MC, even if she is very boring. Look, Kirino is attractive with a nice body, and im a HUGE FAN OF WINCEST, but she is obnoxious and annoying, and no man would ever want to date her because of her mouth (at least no self-respecting man). Kirino is only for one-night-stands or friends-with-benefits. Kirino is not worth it if it means dumping Kuroneko and/or Ayase. This is for the other 3 seasons: Season 1 (12 episodes) = Very enjoyable anime. I loved the pacing and the atmosphere. To be honest, I did not need a season 2 or anything else after this first season. Four ONA episodes after season 1 = BORING!!!!!! OMG, what a drag!!!! ZZZZZZZZZ Season 2 (13 episodes) = For this season 2, I enjoyed many times what I was watching, but there were times I was bored. Kuroneko was very adorable in this season though when she started her romance journey around episode 7, and Ayase was very fun in this season 2 as well, especially in the later episodes. It was a fun season as well. Overall, for all 32 episodes, ill give credit to Oreimo anime in that it is an entertaining anime, with fun characters, with a nice atmosphere. It was a nice journey |

| @summershowers Yes yes, redacted indeed. --- I fucking swear I have never been so CONFLICTED about how an anime makes me feel. I just can't comprehend my feelings because it's all of the emotions at once. This show is polarizing as hell. I mean I felt less conflicted watching the Budd Dwyer video (srsly do not watch that shit if you're under 18 - of course I watched it 10 years ago so hopefully you can't find it anymore). At least I knew how to feel. But this show is all over the place. And that ending. I mean U WOT M8 is the best answer I can find for being okay with telling all the other girls no, and then ENDING THE RELATIONSHIP WITH KIRINO... Completely defeating the purpose of telling either Kuroneko or Manami no (screw Ayase though idrgaf about her). Basically what I'm saying is, objectively this show is garbage, but subjectively I can't help but like it because it was a roller coaster. So I guess at least there was Kuroneko. Her existence was enough to make the show enjoyable. And Manami, oh good golly that punch was amazing...
