| Mitsumi looks like such a mess while she's eating her watermelon and I love it lol also love that face when she catches up to Shima. Just really good faces all around this week lol I loved just how laidback and wholesome this episode felt. And then that ending. Really hope Shima's going to be okay ;_; |

| Mitsumi went back to her hometown and had a lot of fun with her family and friends. That was so chill and wholesome to see. Shiima is still going through some things but my girl is there to take everyone's problems away. I love her so much. |

| Finally a breath of fresh air for Mitsumi and she's able to take a break now she's back in her home town. Even though they seemed to almost drift away a bit, it was a very wholesome moment when Mitsumi gave Shima those snacks. |

| I really liked the opening scene and its minimal dialogue. |
| The first half of the episode was really relaxing and it was nice to see a bit of how Mitsumi's life actually was when she was at her village, and I particularly like the whole cinematic of this portion, especially when Mitsumi was eating the watermelon, and you could "hear" it in the whole city, really showing how small and peaceful it is, compared to the city she is now. The 1st few scenes all being without a single line from Mitsumi also showed and anxious she was to visit her family, and it was a really interesting direction choice. On the other hand though, they ended up the summer vacation part abruptly, and that made that portion feel incomplete, and personally it felt to me that there wasn't much juice in that part, because I was expecting some kind of plot development in that portion, but we really got nothing, and didn't even give an opportunity to properly close this more "calm" part of the episode. Back at school, we see that Shima seems to be distancing a bit from Mitsumi, probably because of what the red haired model girl said in the last episode... He seriously needs to cut off that friendship, because she's only making him drown in his loneliness... Since he also has some family problems, it seems like this summer vacation only made Shima even more closed to others. This episode made it very clear that Shima's life is a mess, and he isn't being able to turn it around. The episode ends with the reveal that Mitsumi and Shima's class will have to do a play... Besides having a mess of a life, Shima has also the worst luck, because how did this happen. I hope he can take this opportunity to properly deal with his "trauma" of representation, and maybe finally come back to it, if he actually likes it, or to just close this chapter once and for all, and not needing to get so worried about it in future times. With this ending, it really makes me believe the way they stretched the Summer vacation part of the episode was to end the episode with this reveal, but at the same time, they did end it abruptly, so I don't know, maybe they wanted something more cinematic, but had to cur it out short, so that they could end the episode this way. |
