Saya came back too quickly. They could have waited another episode so her comeback would have been a lot better. Instead of her they could have had David rescoue Kai.

I liked the way Saya appeared in the end, the music made it so epic! but I agree with ManU-Alchemist, they could have waited with that a bit longer. But still, I liked the atmosphere of this ep - this "dammit we got screwed" feeling in the air.

QFT.

I was seriously expecting David to jump in and start firing like a madman at the Chiroptera, and they go run and regroup or something. Saya coming back in like two or three episodes woulda been nice, and they could build on Kai's character a bit more, and more of the changes in the world since the 1 year timeskip.

Kai's gone through a growth spurt/maturation in the past year. More importantly it looks like Diva's team is well on their way to achieving their goals. What do you want to bet the Corpse Corps is a double-edged sword, ready to turn on the governments who employ it. I think a certain candy sucking character needs to die...

Welcome back Saya!
Please don't feed the trolls!
In my next life I want to collide at the corner with the cute transfer student

Agreed. It felt a bit awkward to have her reappear so soon. And I was hoping for some decent Kai action too :/

I don't expect much badass fights from Saya to be honest she always has seemed to be weaker than everyone else except maybe Kai. He seems to be stronger now though mentally and physically, but i agree with you on Julia she really doesn't seem to want to be there at all.

Yeah Saya showed up too quickly, they'll still build on what happened but it won't have the same focus it would have had if Saya didn't show up

I have not found so exciting to be amazed me, the narrative a bit obvious with the final effect, which does not surprise me though.
Episode subdued, however, the premises are interesting.
Let's see how it develops this new phase! * _ *

Kai finally grew up, and he payed David back that beating he owed him in the first few episodes when Kai was down in the dumps. Now it is David's turn to wake up, hopefully.

Saya's entrance was pretty cool.

Joel is Charles Xavier now. :D

Kind of disappointed in Julia being on the enemy side, but hopefully she is a spy for red shield, or the was red shield that is.

I've been wondering about the power difference between saya and Diva... Perhaps it's due to a difference in blood intake..? And the power difference between haji and Diva's Chevaliers can also be explained by it. Haji hasn't been seen drinking blood, Saya takes blood irregularly and in a single blood pack, Diva has been shown to drink several people dry at once, and her cheviliar have drank that D67 stuff which is essentially part of Diva's blood.

So Diva's Chiropterans can die without the blood of Saya after all, as this episode made clear. For 33 episodes the show has repeated again and again and again that only Saya's blood can kill Diva's Chiropterans (and vice versa for Saya's Chevaliers). This episode directly contradicted that, killing a Chiropteran with a simple beheading from a normal bloodless sword.

Vampire shows or films often have the trope of an "original vampire" that is impossible to kill except in a very specific way (in this case Saya's or Diva's blood). However they invariably fail to answer what would happen if you just took the head of the "original" or in this case Chiropteran. Would the body grow a new head or would the head grow a new body? It's as if the neck of the original vampire is tightly protected by the thickest plot armor possible, with no character ever thinking or suggesting "Hey, why don't we just try cutting off their head?"

Well, Blood+ is apparently different; the creators did not only suggest it but clearly showed it, introducing a major contradiction. Therefore, the mantra "Only Saya's blood can kill Diva's Chiropterans" was reduced to a more specific "Saya's blood can crystallize the blood of Diva's Chiropterans but they can also be killed if you just take their head". Which makes you wonder why didn't everyone think about it until now. Not only Red Shield (who, by the way, had 100+ years to think about it...) but also Van Argiano and his team, who apparently had to resort to encasing Chiropterans from failed experiments in concrete blocks and throwing them in the middle of the Atlantic.

There were already earlier plot parts that partly contradicted the only claimed way to kill Chiropterans or Chevaliers. Karl Fei-Ong had lost both his arm and leg and could not grow them back; he was fitted with a new arm and leg later. Which means that limb cutting works the same way with the Chevaliers (unless, apparently, they glue their arm back in time, as demonstrated with the case of Solomon). If Saya had cut off Karl's head instead of his limbs with her bloody sword he would have certainly died. But even if her sword was bloodless at the time he would have also died, just like that Chiropteran died.

Isn't it about time they revealed what the Chiropterans around Diva are actually after?

First they create Chriopterans, then the Schiff, now they try to make Soldiers that kill Chiropterans. Diva is pregnant and will have a child at some point. (Or maybe already has, thanks to the timeskip.)

33 Episodes in and I still don't know what both sides intentions are beside:
"We have to kill Diva and every Chiropteran." from Red Shield and "We have to pay attention to Red Shield and Saya so they don't hinder our plan to do.... what exactly?" from the Goldsmiths.

And we still don't know how Diva turned the Amshel and the other Goldsmiths into her Chevaliers.
