@Merve2Love Power fantasy? Lol in fact it's the opposite this anime has one of the most realistic progress in romance anime and the characters act like real teenager. You probably haven't watch many anime if u think chunibyou is weird.

It's escapism. It's self insertion^^ It's not what actually happens in real life. And hey, that's quite okay. I didn't mean it in a condescending way. It's just pretty obvious, to me. But you've clearly seen a lot more Anime than me. So, Im sorry if I come off uninformed. It's just my opinion. No biggie. |

@Merve2Love Let me say this. I kept trying to get past the first 3 and I STRUGGLED. I didn't know what they were going for here. If this was some sort of twisted love story or something, and the way it was framed was clashing with it. One day I managed to get past ep 3 and watch episode 4. Then 5. And the next day I was caught up with 15 episodes. I was hooked. The first 3 episodes do it a disservice, because it's actually a commentary about how people judge you for your interests and that they don't define you. He's a kid, and he doesn't know who he is, and through his relationship with this girl he grows up and finds out who he is. And it is GENUINELY one of the cutest shows I have ever seen. There is some stuff that can get a bit sexual, but it's more meant to be through his eyes. It's not for me, I kinda just chalk it up to being targeted towards viewers around that same age. Ain't saying its right, I definitely get your qualms about it. But if you're into romance you're missing out on one of the best. It's unbelievably wholesome.
And to drive this home, I tried to get my wife into this show, and 2 episodes in she looked at me and was like "I'm really sorry, this isn't doing it for me. I'll do one more to see if it gets better." 3 got a bit better but not enough to turn her. And so she dropped it and I just kept watching myself. But Id catch her watching chucks when we were in bed and she'd find it super cute, so I said hey, give me just 2 more episodes. I promise that from 4 it's what the show really is. She gave it a shot, and now it is one of her favorite shows. She squees at least once an episode.

| I mean... looking at the author's past titles like Mitsudomoe. I think the person has a think for these really young looking character where they look like lolis/shota. (In Mitsudomoe's case, they are lolis) Do I think Ichikawa will actually be that much different as years go by? I think his short childish appearance will be maintained for that shota appeal. Nothing wrong with it but it's not surprising if people don't like that appearance. |

| Lovely Complex is one of my favorite romances with similar height difference, doesn't bother me at all. What turned me off initially on this show was the serial killer nonsense, especially as its now been dropped completely, could have cut it out and just had him be a loner. The cliche plot as well but its won me over. This second season is a big improvement over S1 imo. |

| Who is taller between Ichikawa's father and Yamada? Children's height normally decided by their parent's height and if Ichikawa's father is shorter than Yamada, it's unlikely Ichikawa will grow taller than Yamanda since height is genetic. |
