The only requirement for most videos here is that you have some basic understanding of the Japanese language.

Good morning, I'm sorry, and other basic expressions in Japanese Sign Language

(ps. how many of these expressions can you recognize in the show?)

How to express each kana in Japanese sign language
(she makes good analogies to make remembering each hand gesture easier)

song: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with sign language
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

(she also makes short video content for those interested)

Japanese sign language in real life

for advanced learners:
sign language interpretation practice (you can turn Japanese subs on and off)

Remarks:
Note that unlike some other sign languages, your facial expression is also an integral part of the sign language.
The meaning can change completely based on your facial expression.
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

Woah! That's so interesting!

Thanks for sharing this with us. I've always had an interest in sign language. And now you've made it a tad bit easier to check out the basics of Japanese sign language đź‘Ť

@Haruki1412 short answer: no

for example, the american sign language and british sign language are completely different (they don't even come from the same "mother sign language")

the french language system is the main mother sign language of a lot of other sign languages (examples: american sign language/ASL, russian, vast majority of european sign languages and others), another example is the the japanese sign language and korean sign language being kind of related/similar to each other and so on

there is an "international sign language" but it's not like esperanto or even a true universal sign language, so not recommended to be learned especially if you don't have any previous knowledge of an actual sign language

a lot of sign languages have really similar signs that can even look like the the exact same even with the accompanied gesture, but might mean completely different things
this is why sometimes learning a specific sign language can become completely useless if you don't live in a country that either uses that sign language or there is some familiarity between them

That or someone working in a profession of some kind it's relevant or if they live in an area with a lot of immigrants from a particular country. There is a niche exception. Apparently there are people that use sign language on VRChat and similar VR social platforms. Though it warps into their own dialects from technical limitations.
