Honestly read the manga or go straight for the visual novel (if you like this type of media/have a lot of time to read).

The anime is butchered, poorly adapted and has no conclusion.

Yes a lot happens next, I don't like the 3th twilight too much. But it is not bad.

The visual novel is one of the most astounding pieces of media that I’ve ever consumed to be honest. Unlike most I didn’t absolutely hate the anime, but it fails where the visual novel absolutely shines.

The music, the meaning, the motive and most of all the emotion make it a true masterpiece. Granted, it can be slow at points, but I can honestly say there’s nothing that’s gripped me more before or since. The anime is a good jumping point, but delve deep into the VN and it might just change your life.

It's good for what it is imo.

If a show in your leisure is deathly boring you, just drop it.

You can't compare this to the visual novel.
If you do like any of the characters at least, and like reading, you should give the VN a try.

Seconding the idea of reading the VN instead. Life-changing.

No, absolutely not, Umineko's anime is an almost horrible adaptation, not because of the animation although it's average, but because of the decision the studio made.
First of all I'll let you know that Umineko has 2 parts divided in 4 arcs each one. The question arc where they put you in situation and introduce you to the story, bringing you a lot of questions of how the plot is behind the secrets. Then there's the answer arc as the name says, they answer every single question you may have thought in the question arc, and it's the peak of umineko by far. Some may consider the question arc as a bad arc and in comparison of how good the answer one i might agree, so let's get to the point.
So just like you've heard now, question arc is almost a joke in comparison to answer arc, so what does this has to do with the anime? Well the anime not only cuts parts of the question arc, but also DOESN'T ADAPT THE ANSWER ARC! It's like an anime where you're given a lot of puzzles but no clues, it's devastating once you realize at the end of it.

My conclusion is, go read the manga, not only the art is one of the best I've seen, but the story is the best part, i love umineko cause the manga and not the terrible adaptation (btw i watched the anime first then the manga, my face once i realized was like the poker one)

I wouldn't really reccomend continuing it,, if you decide to read the visual novel or the manga afterwords, I would definitely not keep watching it. The visual novel or the manga is a much better Umineko experience.
