This is because they used rotoscoping, an animating technique where they hire real actors to act the scenes then draw over them, so you accidentally hit the jackpot with your description! There's a very, very interesting anime which uses this technique 100% of the time and which I highly recommend checking out, it's called Aku no Hana (The Flower of Evil). Quite a few people despise this anime because they think it looks weird and ugly, but I loved my time with it. Here is one shot in this episode that struck me as really rotoscopey. The contours of her face look really realistic, it's not something you'd see if it wasn't drawn over a real human posing:  |

| After watching the whole series this was definitely the best episode for me, this was definitely the episode that made me like Sajuna the most between the girls of this series (and probably of the season). She is precious. Also, that beach scene was fun with that bird, I had to nickname it with the name of a certain MC from a certain series that also aired on Winter lol. I don't know if to say that it looked weird or good there, probably both. |

| The little sister is BIG Love the scene in the stairs. Juju getting scared of Gojou with teary eyes approach him and she fainted when he touched her hand. The beach scene was nice and relaxing. Gotta love the wholesome parts. |

| Another adorable episode. Gojo-kun acts a little spontaneous for once. Marin's influence I'm sure. I was afraid that Shinju's whole character would be "shy girl". I'm glad she gets along with Marin and that she's confident when talking about photography. |

| Rewatching this series currently and despite my issues with this series, that beach scene still holds a ton of magic to it and was superbly directed and brought to life. It's such a simple, quiet scene but had a really special vibe to it, and did more with the relationship that made me buy into it more than the stuff beforehand. Still gives me some Sonny Boy vibes for sure. |
| If you want to understand what this anime is like, watch this episode. She makes it very clear what exactly is important here. For cosplay and other hobbies, or rather, what everything is built on. Honestly, I didn't like the general appearance of the beach, everything merges into one color, but it doesn't happen that way. Even the beach has a lot of flowers. |

| nice ending, even if now it is episode 8 and it becomes easy to think about the second cosplay chance is going to happen. Gojo never having been to the seaside was relatable to me for some parts, even if it isn't that it was the exact same thing but rather that i didn't see it for 14 years in a row from late junior high to my late 20's. |

| Rewatched episode 8 (dub) for the second time and I can't get over Marin's squeal at the beach scene. Her personality is such a joy to behold in the series! :D |

| Another cute episode with grand animation. Examining future place to take cosplay photos in it was nice, but Gojo and Marin's time on the beach was an excellent way to end this episode. |
| As a younger taller sister myself. Shinju was absolute precious. I expected her to be used as kink variety but she's honestly just an honest good nature sister who wants to share her sisters hard work to the world and I feel that feeling! Also her secondary outfit when taking pictures was so so good on her. Seeing cute outfits on cute girls obliderates me. DLSR CAMERAS = EXPENSIVE. Gojo is accurate with LENS SOLD SEPERATELY. Them arriving at the abandoned hospital and all excited. I was amused the entire time. I have friends who'd be thrilled and I'd be like Juju like "heck nah" Also wow yeah the quality tone and animation this episode really looks great. Especially leading into Juju's flashback. Even adding the clock on the accurate 460p aspect ration anime! The commitment. |

| Somehow I'm a sucker for these "shy person x popular person" shows, no matter who's male and female. The realization of Gojou that Kitagawa is just "one of those people" xD |

| Lmao Sajuna going into a short circuit after Gojou breaking down in tears for him enlightenment to then holding her hand was funny, she probably went through like 5 different emotions all at once at that moment. The pink text that also flashed through her face was also really funny to read through. Second half was complete heart-warming, sweet, wholesome shit that struck me right in the heart. Really sweet moment between Marin and Gojou that expressed their character's and some of their feelings for one another, man Marin really took that photo so it would last. I also liked the animation in this half it felt really, unique, in a way? The movement looked more realistic(?) which honestly i felt added more to the scene, made the characters feel more expressive in a way. |

i do really like the romance aspects of this show. before i watched this i just had the impression it would be kitagawa teasing gojo constatly or something and that she would have been the worst gyaru but i like this  |
