| I preferred the first episode, though if these new characters are fleshed out more that could also be cool. For now, the two middle school girls aren't all that interesting. Naru is so full of energy, it's amazing. I especially like it when she gets serious, and when she's drawn off-model. She really is dancing on the line between annoying and adorable. I mean, just think of what it would mean to be dealing with her all day! It would be exhausting. The dynamics between her and Handa are a little bit like the one between Kafuka and Itoshiki in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and I dig that. She has the same endless optimism as Kafuka, except in Naru's case it's quite normal. |
| The first episode was better in my opinion. This one was still good with the elbow to the face and Handa saying the wrong thing to the nurse. |

| This show has such great comedic timing. The mom's monologue about cooking, the village elder's contentment in mediocrity, Naru overhearing the teenage girls, the suppository. Bwhahaha. I love how they are all all there for him in the hospital and feed him, despite shenanigans. What great characters that are multi-dimensional right off the bat. |

| You know you could actually see the dark purple background around that old man when he was walking back after his "heartfelt" conversation with Handa. So yeah, he was a ghost lol. New characters could be a bit loud, actually it's just those two girls, but okay Handa's making sure to keep a distance from them anyways lol. Btw I liked how they had to pixelate those onions. |
