Hi... Just joined this club, it's great to see a Calgary MAL. I have a bit of an addiction to manga / anime, love the stories and the characters. It makes life a little more tolerable. Have a great day everyone.

Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to join. A quick announcement I'd like to make if I may - I revived the Bionix club the other day.

If anyone ever watched Bionix on Friday nights growing up, please join us and share your memories. We're a bunch of people that used to watch anime on YTV and then cried when it got cancelled :'(
But we'd love to hear your memories and thoughts on the state of anime in Canada! Thanks

This club is crazy dead, and the people that I met on MAL-Calgary 5 1/2 years ago are hardly even on anymore haha...but thought I would do a quick post :P

I have a lot of fond memories on this forum, I met some amazing people here :) A couple years ago I was even the maid of honor for Iristhyme's wedding (she married Brassiris! BTW they have the most amazingly beautiful baby girl). I also met my (now) Fiance, Lars, at one of the MAL - Calgary meetups!

It would be cool if there was a MAL-Calgary hangout, introduce the old members to the new members, the new ones should take over for us veterans...I can't express how fun it is to be with people that share an interest in Manga/Anime :)
