Though nowhere near as good, Sekaiichi follows Junjou's style of storytelling by showing three couples all somewhat related to each other. It's more of the same, but the relationships are far less varied which is disappointing in my opinion. However, if you like one you may like the other just as much.

Well, someone has to recomend this sooner or later anyways. First of all, both of them are Yaoi(Boys Love). They are from the same studio which also the reason their artwork is so (and even too) much similar. Specially main characters of both series (Ritsu and Kotarou) are *the same*. Both have cute romance in it, story is different thought. Anyways if you liked any of them, give the other a try.

Meet our main character. He's a spirited young fellow who's working/wants to be working in the field of manga. He had a fateful encounter with another man in the past, and after many years of separation, their paths cross once more... only for him to suddenly get a good look at his admirer's less savoury sides. Sexy comedy hijinks ensue, there's also at least one secondary couple to take the heat off the main dudes every once in a while.

Not because of the boys love (although some people might like so see the two main characters of Bakuman as more than friends), but because both of the series take you behind the scenes of creating manga.

Both are yaoi/BL, comedy One character is dominant while the other is reluctant at first but is into it after a while

Both of them have comdey and yaoi in it. So if you like Sekaiichi Hatsukoi you'll probably like Tight-rope and vise-versa.

Both shows have the same style of comedy. Both are romcoms revolving around a shoujo mangaka setting. Both have three couples as well as supporting characters. They have the same atmosphere overall - light and cutesy. The main characters are very similar, as they both get embarrassed easily and have a crush on someone.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is a lot like Doukyuusei in that they're both about a first love between two men, and the difficulties the characters have coming to terms with the relationship, jealousy, and overcoming all of that. The main character's voice actor, Kusakabe Hikaru, even voices in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, though not an overly major role. Overall it's rather cute, dramatic, and even frustrating at times, but definitely a very good shounen ai.

Honestly...it is like the same show. It's like it is just one couple more in the Sekaiichi world. One more story. It's even the same animation style :)

Similarities -Yaoi -Both are well made -The art is really pretty in both -Both are enjoyable to watch Differences -Completely different storylines -Sekaiichi is a series, while the other is an OVA

Both are comedic anime series placed in the workplace, and both shows contain romance.

Similarities between Kisa - Yukina and.... ....Adachi - Kurosawa: - Uke is 30 years old and share age difference with seme (the difference is in Cherry Magic, Adachi is younger than Kurosawa while in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Yukina is younger than Kisa) - Seme is very popular, especially to girls. - Uke doesn't know what to do when seme is with others. .....Ritsu - Takano: - Uke is younger than seme and age difference is just 1-2. - Both share the same workplace where people work with computers. - Seme doesn't fall for anyone else other than uke from their first encounter, though some girls have confessed love with seme.

The similarities between 2 anime: - Couple with 2 characters being childhood friends (Chiaki - Hatori (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi) and Kensuke - Hasekura (Hitorijime My Hero)). Also, both seme are jealous of uke's best friend (the difference is in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Chiaki's best friend Yuu considers him as a lover more than a friend while in Hitorijime My Hero, Hasekura seems to dislike Masahiro whenever Masahiro is close to Kensuke, in fact they're just best friends, not lovers) - Couple with seme being popular to girls but is actually interested in uke (Yukina being interested in Kisa (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi) and Hasekura being interested in Kensuke (Hitorijime My  read more

Junjou Romantica would also be a good recommendation, too. If you love yaoi and yuri, you should definitely watch all 4 animes; Maria-sama ga Miteru, Strawberry Panic, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Junjou Romantica. They all revolve around 3-4 couples. Anyway. - Both anime's couples have a dominating spouse - Both anime's couples have a somewhat sexual relationship. - Both anime's couples have a spouse protecting the other. There's so much more, but no way can I list all of them. The only difference is the gender, Strawberry Panic has women, and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi has men. And the age difference, too...however these two animes have a similarity no doubt.

Both are about making mangas..

Aside from being yaoi, of course, both share a very similar boss x employee relationship. In Sekaiichi, they are manga editors, and in Yebisu they work with design. However, Yebisu's animation is nowhere near as good as Sekaiichi's, and sometimes movement seems like something out of a yaoi game.

Both are of the same genre yaoi. Gravitation centers around one couple however and the seme is cold hearted unlike Takano.

These are both yaoi's,both have nice art and hilarious story/moments.

They have a similar feel to them, partly because of the animation, partly because the characters in one sometimes have brief encounters with characters in the other. Watching one after having watched the other is like a 3rd and 4th season bringing you other couples' love stories to fall in love with.

The main characters in "Sekaiichi" and "Ikoku" have both fell in love with a member of the same sex and are confussed about it as they battle with there emotions but whatever they do they still can't help but love that person.
report Recommended by ParadoxCharlie
It is similar because two people used to be in a relationship of some sort, one says or does something to make the other feel betrayed, and so that person gets mad and decides to break up, but then later they get reunited after being in the same line of work (SH it's manga editing, SB it's entertainment). What's different is that in SH, Ritsu coincidentally meets Takano, but in SB the girl follows him to get revenge. They're both really good :)

Main characters were in love and confessed but, due to a misunderstanding, they couldn't stay together.
