Both have strong willed female characters and alloof male characters, not wanting to have a part in the matters until they are forced to. Elements and swords are also involved, not to mention action scenes.

There is definitely "sword art" in both shows. SAO is a story set in MMO game, The Sacred Blacksmith is set in fantasy-medieval world. A lot of spectacular sword fights. A lot. Also making swords, cute characters, romantic themes, many emotions. You WILL like it.

Elemental Gelade has human weapons called "Edel Raids", which is really similar to the Demon Swords in Seiken no Blacksmith. Both main characters have the same point of views about their special weapons :)

Although not with the same premise, both series adapt a similar feeling in a fantasy setting. The main male protagonists from both series are considered "heroes" and often try to get work done alone. The female protagonists from the series share a strange bond with him. There is some action, drama, and adapts more of an adventure premise for both series. It also features some past histories related to the events in the stories and how they came to be.

Both CSR and Blacksmith have male leads [ Layfon Alseif in CSR, Luke Ainsworth in Blacksmith ] that are almost otherworldy in their combat skill. Both of them are at their best with Katana, which is a weapon in both series that is held on another level to others when used properly. Overall the series are different in alot of ways, but the simple relation in characters makes the viewer feel some nostalgia when watching one and then the other.

RPG elements.

Both are amazing shows, even though Grandeek leaves you wanting for more. Both of these have swords whom hold spirits. If you liked Sacred Blacksmith then you'll love Grandeek, vise versa.

Luke and Claude are very similar in that they are both dedicated to work (blacksmith) and are extremely stubborn. Both have a small girl who helps the blacksmith.

both got swords and knights who are girls and both are about killing some kind of gods/demons

Sentient weapons in a magical world. Seiken no Blacksmith has a better, simpler story without gamification. A bit ecchi.

Both of these anime are placed in more medieval times. They're main characters both have strong weak points, but can make up for it in some sort of way. They both seem to have a lot of action in them as well.

Just a heads up, it is good to watch each other. They have the same manga artist that I believe the adaptation takes upon it. So if you liked Alicization's artstyle and wanted more, definitely look at Sacred Blacksmith too. There are other similar points like Knights and medieval town setting, wielding a powerful sword, saving the girl, and facing the enemy together. I also like their names, Cecily and Alice, cute girl's name, similar feel XD Both are pretty girl knights I would watch. The guys are cool and step into the fray when needed.

Both animes have characters that turn into weapons, while Soul Eater tends to focus more on the fighting and all that Seiken no Blacksmith tends to follow more of the romance part of it while still adding in some good action scenes. So you could think of it like both series are trying to tell certain parts of the same story.

Both series offer high production values while delivering a good mixture of action and comedy, all the while having their touching moments as well.

These animes are similar in that they both mention signing a contract with the devil (Millenium earl in d-gray man) to turn into a demon

They both have quite similar atmosphere, similar clothes style, feels like the same era. And they both concentrate on mysterious Demon sword.

Historical AUs where the story line is dark and you have a main female and male lead.

I personally believe that both of the series have good sword fights, though in truth that is subjectional to ones opinion. To me, the sword fights show a wide range of movement, which I also find to be realistic.

Magic, Swordplay, Mideval setting. The world is in a state of need to repair.

They are both set in an older fictional European world. They both have a fantasy type of storyline. Both include a splash of romance.

Though not similar in the slightest bit plotwise, they both have a similar atmosphere and feel to one another.

both have similar themes. about the Master who uses the power of the Absolute Angels (Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora) and Demon Sword (Seiken no Blacksmith) as his Sword to fight.

Both girls from these anime are fighting to protect people in their towns. Their headbands kinda look similar too lol. Anyways, both are great anime.

Both have a similar feel in regards to gods and greater powers. Both series also had quite good potential, how you interpret that is up to you though.

Both are short anime and have a fantasy background related to knights and demons. Tower of Druaga is oriented more toward comedy sometimes though.
