they both have a hard starting but they will get revenge and prove themselves

Both of this anime are about a man looking for a revenge in whole race because how they treated their love(well, I can even say because they killed them). Both of mc are humans in a world surronded by other creatures and decided to kill every member of those race. But both anime go in a bit different way since male mcs have different personality.

Much more sexuality, similar brutality, and the person being avenged is himself.

Two races (agressive humans and victims of their genocide - female "humans" with destructive abilies) who are in fight with each other. Gore, blood, lots of deaths, revenge, and calm opening songs in contrast of the anime events.

Both anime are torture... por...cupine. There's not much substance here, synopsis is full of promise in boh anime, but it never actually delivers, but if it makes you... feel something, you'll like it.

The context of the story is very similar: an all-powerful empire that controls the world. While in Code Geass, "the magic" is the Geass and is in the hands of the Empire itself, in Hametsu no Oukoku, magic is persecuted; however, both protagonists use this "magic" or superhuman power against the rest. In both anime series, the protagonist has a strong desire for revenge, the main driving force of the plot.
