Similar based on the theme "cooking", although not the same genre as isekai. Still can enjoy casual viewing.

Both shows are about travelling in a fantasy world.

Both shows include a great and original world revolving around a strange underground place made up of layers, each layer having its own ecosystem and different landscape. The main characters try to explore this place and its hidden mysteries and we are exposed to its history progressively and through the myths and legends around it. The adventure thrill you get from both shows is just very similar. The shows differ in that Cooking and food is a main theme in Dungeon Meshi while the main theme of Made in Abyss is Children suffering (and toilet humour). Dungeon Meshi is also more lighthearted than Made in  read more

Both share "hunting down monsters for food" part. However the food in Dungeon Meshi is just a normal food, while in Toriko it is "magical" one which causes human power to evolve.

Both shows feature cooking walkthroughs (although Dungeon Meshi uses made up ingredients) and have people enjoying food.

Both are dark fantasy anime. Simply, they both contain the use of magic or other supernatural forces that may lead to negative consequences. While Berserk has darker themes from the get-go, Delicious In Dungeon feels more lighthearted but progresses over time. Both also have themes of character transformation, but going into too much detail about how they relate in that way contains major spoilers.

Both Maomao and Laios are very autistic Both anime start somewhat lighthearted and get darker and darker as the plot develops

- Fantasy and food are the main themes - Both show food really beautifully, Dungeon Meshi is more focused on ingredients found in the dungeon - Relaxing and funny

Don't be fooled by the lack of an "Adventure" tag on Dungeon Meshi. It's every bit as adventurous and full of spirit as Nanatsu no Taizai. If you love exploration and world-building, following a group of friends and falling in love with their character and being left on read for the next season, you'll love both of these shows.

A story about the criminal resurrection of a loved one. Creation of a chimera from a human and an animal. The main characters meet a group of heroes from the East who help them in the second half of the series. Fantasy with politics. Laws of magic.
