Both anime involves girls that have some unique background and needs a male protagonist to help them studying, battling against the antagonist of exams and fear of failing to achieve their academic goals. Male protagonist is poor works hard in school to avoid the continuing poor life.

The story itself isn't really similar however how the story is done is. The fact we get the 2 main girls at the start and others start to join the harem later is similar. The comedy is very similar as well.

Romantic comedy with high school setting, main character is a smart guy who has to tutor a group of girls. Bokuben is more of a comedy anime, while 5toubun focuses on character development and love.

Regular guy with bizarre people. We Never Learn and Sakurasou follows regular students who end up having to build relationships with other bizarre people around them. We Never Learn's Yuiga is made to tutor the atypical "math maestro" Ogata and "literature legend" Furuhashi. While in Sakurasou, Sorata is made to become a resident in the Sakurasou where he is made to take care of a quirky Shiina, whilst living with other insane characters. Both are good rom-coms with addons harem for We Never Learn, and drama for Sakurasou. All in a school environment.

- Smart but easy to overlook guy who is surrounded by cute and alluring females with different personalities. - Protagonists are kind and good friends who tries to help his friends with their strugles. - Both series has wise female characters who challenges, but also helps protagonist to overcome problems.

-Both take place in a school setting -MC is surrounded by girls In both the series there are normal schools but 'We Never Learn' takes place in some present time and they focus on studies but 'Love Flops' takes place in the future due to the technology we see in it and no sign of anyone actually studying

If you want comedy with romance then this anime is for you. Slice of life anime is good to watch.

Both are romantic comedies where the MC has to spend a lot of time after classes with girls because of what their teachers told them and in both he gets a harem. Oregairu from a point of view is a better executed and actually has a very god ending with a winning girl.

Simple harem anime. There isn't too much to draw together with these two, but I suppose with the fluctuated style of abilities and inabilities in both, more so with the girls due to be in the harem. They also follow a simple premise in which a regular guy gets dragged into a situation he could not possibly hope to overturn, teaching these maidens about what basics they fail to understand in their path of results they wish to gain. It's funny, it's simple, it can also be looked at as a waste of time, but for these harem anime, there's honestly nothing to lose. Find your best  read more

- Dense and stupid male protagonists who have really smart (male) friends - A few tsundere girls here and there - Both harems

Both shows are fairly easy-going, fun harem rom-coms, with your everyday studious MC being surrounded by cute girls with varying personalities. We Never Learn also goes for a slice-of-life format so it’s a similar sort of ‘turn your brain off’ romcom if you just want to watch cute girls fight(?) over a guy.

Obviously, in both anime the characters have trouble studying. Besides that both anime are generic teen romance anime with some comedy. Differences are that in Midara Ao most of the comedy is ecchi, while on the other hand Bokutachi is a harem. Is it really coincidence that there are 2 anime with pretty much the same name airing during the same season, or does Japan just lack creativity?

they are both about a guy who interacts with a lot of girls in a way that might rise the doubt of which one is he going to choose, the difference is that in ai yori aoshi its a little more clear who the main girl is. but they both are about romantic comedy with the mc being friends with all of them.

both series are romantic comedies in which the mc develops his relationship with different girls and has to decide which one he picks to be more than friends.

Both are harems full of miscommunication in a high school setting

mc surrounded by girls at a school environment, he interacts with them an ultimately has to choose one for romantic purposes

Both are light-hearted ecchi harem anime that are remarkably and consistently funny.
