Both rock a childish/semi-dumb girl as the main character with every episode being concentrated on something else (Dagashi Kashi has some sweets every episode, Tejina-senpai some "magic"-tricks. Both have that ecchi feeling when watching it so if you enjoyed Dagashi Kashi, you are sure to like this one aswell

Dagashi Kashi and Non Non Biyori have different artistic styles but take place in a very similar setting- rural Japan. Dagashi Kashi focuses on a comedy based plot line whereas Non Non Biyori is mainly a slice of life. If you enjoyed the setting in either show you should give the other a try.

it's fun to watch and centers around drinks in a similar way as dagashi does

Both are basically anime version of advertisements for their respective themes, namely, ramen and snacks.

- Both have quirky characters - Both have ridiculous but hilarious comedy - Many references are made to things in Japan - Parody is used very well - Both MC's own/work at a small business

The lives of two ordinary guys are completely changed when a hyperactive female character makes her entrance. Both series are comedy focused that feature a heroine dragging the cast into a crazy world full of bizarre adventures. Dagashi Kashi differs revolving around a candy and sweets store, while Uzaki-chan features college students with more ecchi styled humour. Overall, if you enjoy comedy series about hyperactive female characters you will probably enjoy both series.

Both shows involve eating. While Dagashi Kashi is more candy shop oriented, Shokugeki no Souma takes place inside the Totsuki's academy/ Yukihira father's restaurant. Add over the top reactions and you basically got very yummy and tasty animes.. Add crazy characters around MC and you will get over the top comedy... It's basically the same show.....or not....

Cute girls eating food in cute ways. Dagashi Kashi for sweet, Koufuku Graffiti for savoury.

Both shows are set in rural Japan, strong in comedy and gives a light-hearted feeling. Each story focuses on one main topic, Barakmon on calligraphy and Dagashi Kashi on candy.

Both series are focuses on snacks tbh in Dagashi Kashi it's about candy while in Pan de Peace it's about bread PS: Dagashi is 24mins. per episode while PDP has 3mins.

- Both have strange characters - Both have similar personalities. - Both have ridiculous comedy, but we can say funny - Both have MCs who get super excited when they see a girl - There are many references to things from Japan - Parody is used very well - Both MCs own/work in a small business/ girl.

While both of these anime are quite different, I think the relationships between the leads have a similar feel. Production values in both are fantastic and both are just simple fun with a little bit of an emotional side.
report Recommended by ArcFloof
Both have the same food based theme, but Shokugeki no Souma was more like the main character competing to be on top, while Dagashi Kashi was more like the main character trying to keep the other main character from pursuing his desire to be a mangaka. Also, both have an almost documentary like of presentation, which we the audience would learn from it.

Both of them have a nostalgic atmosphere and a soft, sincere connection with the past is established. -They both have really funny jokes. You laugh while watching. -They both have original senses of humor. -Emotional states and reactions are reflected successfully in both of them. They have a fluent course. -Cute drawings and facial expressions are very good in both -You can easily identify with the characters in both of them, and I think it is very important. Dear reader, thank you for reading here. I wish you healthy days

I was not a fan of Dagashi, but they do have some similarities between them. Dagashi Kashi relies on fan service a bit more than Ben-To, in my opinion, and Ben-To succeeds more as an interesting show because it does not suffer the pacing issues Dagashi has for me. They both deal with people caring far too much about common food to the point of obsession, and being carried too far because of these obsessions though, so perhaps some people out there could love them both for what they offer!

- Both of these anime are going to give you the munchies. - Whether it's low-cost snack foods or easy-to-make meals, you might find yourself trying a lot of new foods. - Both anime give a lot of information, about food and other things. And the humor is really similar, too. - So, grab some snacks and watch these anime together

Both shows with absolutely 0 plot, they were both put on this earth as good comedic relief shows to watch.

romance and slice of life, this both series definetely my recommendation for these genre. when you feel tired with anime nowadays, try to watch this maybe some refreshment might change your feel. no drama, it perfectly fit for me because most of anime drama exaggerating the conflict. because of that you may feel annoyed with drama, and so many anime romance come with drama and then this is my recommendation about anime romance slice of life no drama.

One of my favorite comedy shows I'm sure you'll like this too, enjoy!

Both shows are very similar as they center on a particular niche (snacks for Dagashi Kashi and board games for Houkago Saikoro Club). The niche is displayed by the shops They have similar main characters who are very passionate and knowledgable about the products. Fun and entertaining to learn the history of the product Strangers become friends fast in the shop. overall if you want how to rest and relax this is a must

Both series have someting related to "dagashi" (candy), the female characters do not go to any school and are involved in that industry related to large "oppai" (Ilulu/Hotaru Shidare), the male characters (Taketo Aida/Kokonotsu Shikada) are both high school students and are attracted to these girls and their senior relatives (Taketo's grandmother/Kokonotsu's father) own the candy shop. However, that similarity only applies to the second season of Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon.

Both are romantic comedies with love triangles that focus on and explain the history of certain niche interests.
report Recommended by LingFromXing
In both anime, the female leads enjoy to tease and make the male lead's life hard. While Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san is more innocent and sweet in a high schooler's setting, in Dagashi Kashi there is a more intense humor with sometimes a more serious tone to life. The point is, if you're looking for an anime with a sassy girl, both of the anime are a great pick.
report Recommended by Nyanda
Both animes are about material things like limited edition products and japanese style food. Akikan has a weird theme around the coolness of soda cans and Dagashi Kashi centers around candy products. Both also have comedic value.

The shows have similar characters and settings. In both shows there's: - An energetic, quirky purple-haired girl full of curiosity who stays in a small town/village - A funny, quirky father character - A girl whose family runs a cafe - A boy who's always wearing sunglasses - Parodies/references to other shows Both are fun non-serious shows to watch.
report Recommended by emilyslash
The set up of both shows are similar in that the episodes are divided into segments or parts. Kokonotsu Shikada is similar Kou Ichinomiya in that they are both expected to take on their family business and have to put up with an eccentric female lead that goes against the norms of society.
report Recommended by Ultima_Oblivion
Both are comedy slice of life anime that taking place in a work setting. Dagashi tells about candy shop, Denki-gai no Honya-san - about manga shop. Both anime have crazy characters and similar humor style. Jokes are mostly related to the work and its aspects. If you like manga - you'll like Denki-gai no Honya-san, if you love Japanese sweets - Dagahi Kashi.
report Recommended by Gokudo-kun
Both shows have similar setting of rural Japan and the same genre — comedy. Dagashi Kashi focuses on absurd jokes while Nourin`s jokes are the pure perversion. However if you like anime comedies you should like both shows.
report Recommended by Unagi-san
both Dagashi Kashi and Working are slice of life shows taking place in a work setting(dakashi kashi has a family running a candy shop, and working is everyday life in a restaurant) and have similar character interactions and character traits that make them unique form one another. if you love Dakashi Kashi, you will love Working.
report Recommended by NintensityCrowds
They don't really have anything similar in theme, plot or characters but they both have this comfy feel with occasional laughs If you liked Hotaru you will like Hikari and vice versa while Dagashi kashi is more about the jokes and wacky situations the characters find themselves in Demi is more about the relationships and how they grow during the wacky situations
report Recommended by VanVeleca
They remind me of each other because how ridiculous and silly both are. The heroines are also really similar to each other, Hotaru and Galko are both cute, crazy, easygoing, hot, innocent and funny girls being unintentionally suggestive.
report Recommended by Kazami
both are pretty mediocre but still have some really funny parts here and there, also both have a really weird plot
report Recommended by VanVeleca
Both MCs are unhappy/uninterested about working under a family business. They have a calming atmosphere and take place in a very similar setting. Dagashi Kashi takes on a more comedic look, while Hanasaku Iroha takes on a more realistic life approach. Also the animation is great, kinda similar with bright colors.
report Recommended by TheWhiteDemon
-Both have a rural setting. -Both have an MC who doesn't want to follow his father's footsteps in successing his business and instead follow their own dreams. -In both they reminisce about their past -MC in Udon no Kini is an adult who realized his mistake of going after his dream, while in Dagashi Kashi MC is a youngster who wants to follow his dream. So you can say that Udon no Kini is a future version of what will happen in Dagashi Kashi if MC sticks to his dream.
report Recommended by Hirugiku
Both have a MC who are surrounded by Crazy people and are trying to get into the entertainment Industry. Sakurasou has both comedy and Drama and Dagashi is pure comedy (so far...)
