Most Cantonese Openings are using the same music from the japanese openings but with different or similar Lyrics. Doraemon, keroro Gunsou, Chibi Maruko are good examples.

Original meaning the music is commission for the anime. City Hunter is really the only one I remember.

However alot of the shows just keep with Original Japanese Opening.

There are quite alot of Cantonese Openings for anime.

Especially for the TV Airs, Most of them are re dubs, only a few ever had original Songs for Openings. atleast from my recollection.

I did not know Doraemon Voice actor died. His voice is always memorable. In a sense quite calming. Old Voice actors are slowly disappearing, its a shame. Kinda feel envy on how many Voice actors appear in Japan compared to Hong kong.

Though the Hong Kong televised language is getting to westernised for my liking. To much random use of English words.

Yes thats the one. I love he refers to ET and Batman even though they aren't relevent.

Theres also a Jackie Chan version when he did his live action movie of City Hunter.

Same I also prefer the older dubs. Shame you can only find them in VHS Quality.
I miss the old Saeba Ryo Voice, with the Andy Lau Opening.

A few of the veteran voice actors have passed away. Like the woman who voiced Nobita and Rantarou.

Never seen Inuyasha dubbed.

I was told that by my cousin about the saint seiya dubs.

I've only seen one fan dub (Atleast I considered it to be a fan dub) Was a dub for the Summer Wars movie, It wasn't bad, dub wise, but the recording of the voices were all different which is why it felt fan dubbed.

I think ATV is still around just probably not for anime.
Its a shame about TVB cause alot of the voice actors have moved on to other networks.
The voice for some characters have changed.

I can read it ok. I do what you do as well, just type in the name of the anime with the cantonese symbol and just see what I can find.

Which dubs do you prefer? TVB, ATV, HKTV?

I see thanks. I assume you are quite proficient in reading and typing chinese to find all of the shows.
