both takes place in a school and are about boys who are dying to get to know girls, though prison school may a have a more exaggerated course of action than grand blue. &&&& this is insignificant but the main character from both series look reaaallly alike..

The mere notion of combining tits & arse fan-service with serious subject matter/direction is usually a BIG no-no. People that want smutty antics usually do not much care for death and non-orgasmic thrills, and vice versa. But these two series are a special kind of exception to that most logical of rules. HotD refreshes the quite literally done-to-death zombie genre with a haremish, alpha male approach to survival. The other pokes fun at any and every prison escape story with the aid of srsbiz 'horror' male faces and femdom overload. Money is also happily thrown around in the way of budgeting to improve the eye-candy  read more

Kakegurui is best described as the 'Gambling School' equivalent to Prison School. Femdom over the top absurdity with similar, liptastic art styles. Entertaining if you can forgive mostly self-aware silliness. Unfortunately tits & arse perversion are largely replaced by orgasmic-ahegho faces in Kakegurui, but heyho: tights do it for me. And that ending animation.

Both series have the same ecchi sense of humor, short in length of episodes, and If you loved Hana from Prison School you will definitely love Anna from Shimoneta.

Main characters are stuck in a situation (a school prison; men being forced to act like idols) where they cannot decide their fate, and get involved in a spiral of disgusting situations which always end up in dark humor. Harsh, dark humor. "Explicit" content. Sex jokes.

Both Golden Boy and Prison School rely on sexual jokes not suitable for the general audience. Each girl in both shows has a unique personality and distinctive appearance. Kintaro and the Prison School gang are similar in that they relentlessly pursue these attractive women with hilarious results. Both are initially clueless when dealing with women, but gains experience with every episode. While Kintaro only encounters one abusive woman, the Prison School gang faces an entire academy of them. Prison School's humor is even less tame than Golden Boy's, which itself is already very facetious.

Hate to put it like this, but there is an overlying theme of friendship in both and similarly both slew of characters are in prisons. Where rainbow has a very compelling story and explicit + mature content, prison school is explicit in its own right and takes the comedic tropefilled route. Complete opposite of the spectrum in that regard.

Want a taste of ridiculous and over-the-top prison comedy? Try either one of these shows! On the more ecchi side of the spectrum lies Prison School, pretty much a BDSM fantasy that's both raunchy and brutal for the prisoners Nanbaka OTOH places more emphasis on its colorful sparkly bishounen character designs and atmosphere for its aesthetic.

Both series does comedy in an unconventional fashion - they can make the most mundane course of action seems so interesting, layered with bunch of ridiculous yet sensible explanations. By the end of it, you will have drasticly different perspectives on things like "why is ass better than breast?". Be prepared of rolling on the floor, laughing.

Hajimete no Gal is like a Lighter version of Prison School, with a similar group of guys and some episodes are just as funny. Recommended!

Both have a similar sense of humor using dark or even vulgar images and punchlines to get their points across, often times using bodily fluids. Somehow they take the most normal everyday things and make them the most legendary scenes in the most disgusting of ways. Some of the scenes are down right grotesque, but in the best way to where you can't look away.

They have some similarities like: -A school thta used to be only for girls and then became co-ed. -A group of really strong girls who seems to hate boys. -The girls use violence to correct the boys, and do things to humiliate them.
report Recommended by Zapp_Renfro
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou got a really nice humor making fun of stereotype situations out of everyday life mixed up with the crazyness originating from the infinite boredom of our highschhoolers. And Prison school is basicly the same only on a whole new level of sexual perversion. There is only one real difference aside from perversion and that is prison school actually having a plotline. But if u enjoyed the humor of the highschool boys you will enjoy the "prison boys daily life" as well ;)

Both held in confinement and are abused.

- The same toilet humour - lots of perverted crazy characters ( e.g. sadistic female, pure hearthed, yet crazy giant) - the main hero is the most normal person in group

Both are seinen comedies with gore elements, lots of sex jokes and over-the-top mimicry. The absurd black humor in both will either gross you out or make your stomach hurt from laughing.

The premise of both the anime is High School. The characters are perverted.
report Recommended by fellowstranger
Both at the start seem to have a stupid and poor ecchi story baseline, but half-way through the series the story starts to get interesting and presents a really clever ending.
report Recommended by _Ed0
People says that it's similar to ''Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou'', but it's just because the action takes place at school. The humour is totally different. On the other hand those two have more improtant similarities like 'funny reactions and facial expressions' or 'funny sound effects'. U can laugh all day long.

Similar drawing style, also takes place in a high school setting and similar in absurdity and wackiness.

It might seem a like a weird comparison but I think both show have things in common. For one, they both use, relatively, more realistic art style then other animes which makes it stands out. They both do an amazing job of making the viewer feel uncomfortable in a variety of moment throughout both shows. They are both comedies but they differ in that prison school is an ecchi show. While Sakamoto is episodic and the comedy draws on the fact that the main character is impenetrable, like Saitama form OPM.

While one is more focused on the comedic aspect and the other (Prison school) takes itself seriously on a few occasions, the main attraction of both series is explicitly stating sexual jokes and references that can be quite funny at times. Coupled with a good dose of fan-service, it should make for an entertaining watch.

Both are focused around high school and have a focus on comedy and lewd elements. Kill la Kill is more action based, while Prison School focuses more on characters.
report Recommended by Plazmatic
These two series are both rather scandalous and feature adult humour. They also both feature pervy, but ultimately loveable, male lead characters. Both are laugh out loud funny!
report Recommended by venusinfleursx
similiar humour and both have ecchi scenes with nudity. They are both very funny.
report Recommended by AureoBiscuit
Similarities: Both are comedies in which a small group of high school boys get caught doing pervy things (e.g., peeping in the girl’s shower room) and, subsequently, are harshly punished by some of the school's girls. The boys are constantly trying to come up with plans to escape their predicaments. Some differences: Baka to Test generally has more of an upbeat, cheery vibe, whereas Prison School has more of a serious/darker vibe (though both are still comedies). Baka to Test is more episodic, and it delves into other story lines, whereas Prison School largely follows a singular story line.

They're both funny with over the top humor. They're extremely enjoyable but inferno cop is more insane. Inferno cop has a really whacky sense of humor and the scenarios of the episodes change constantly and are all brilliant. Prison school has a similar sense of humor but with more structure (which is a really great story and structure btw for how all the plots come together) so I recommend it.
report Recommended by RossiRoad
If you liked the perverted humor in Baka and Test you'll get more of this here. A lot more in fact. Much less focused on actual story, homever if you don't take it too seriously you might just find it incredibly enjoyable.

- The comedy style is very fast - School setting - All characters are all funny - Prison school has more perverted comedy - Saiki K uses the stupidity of the characters as comedy - Many surprising twists and turns

Similarities - MCs are convicted and become inmates in a 'prison' complex - MC gets abused by the corrupt guards/wardens - Both MC has a small inmate group that work together and develop close bonds - MC and their inmate friends conquer the corrupt guards/wardens - Both MC and their inmate friends have their own unique personalities/backgrounds Differences - Stone Ocean MC is female and their group is full female VS Prison School MC is male and their friend group are full male - Stone Ocean has stand powers/unique special powers VS Prison School is in a "normal" universe - Stone Ocean MC was framed VS Prison School are male students in an  read more

Both the anime revolve around strong female character and weak male protagonist and have great comedy and fanservice And the most important thing is that unlike other ecchi anime this two anime have a nice plot and put equal focus to story, fanservice and comedy

Both anime are similar in how they do their comedy. Both Keijo and Prison school are shameless in their taste of comedy and will leave you in stitches. Both are extremely self aware which only adds to it's comedic effects. However character and story wise, they are very different. -Keijo is a sports ecchi filled with girls trying to make it pro in the sport -Prison School is a group of 5 perverted boys living in an all girls school prison after a peeping incident goes wrong. Contains comedic violence and ecchi too. However the main aim of these anime is to be as absurd as possible in  read more

Both shows have similar comedy styles and setting, they are imprisoned in a school for bad behavior trying to get better. In Prison school their goal is to be less perverted as a result the show focuses more on ecchi, while in Sakigake their goal is to become true men through pain an suffering, there is time to waste with fickle women in Otokojuku!

Both shows contain humor aimed at mature people. Both are absolutely hillarious. Same director. Not much fanservice in Plastic Nee-San, but there is a touch of it.
report Recommended by Erytropus
Both shows are crazy ecchi comedies, but Prison School has more ecci and no yuri (for now as i can say, not all episodes are out yet). I also think its a lil bit funnier than Gokujo.
report Recommended by teaknight
I highly enjoyed both series for their humour. Both are comedies focusing on perverted main characters. Prison school jokes are more crude but overall I felt the same kind of enjoyment for both series.

Similar colorful cast and comedy.

Ok here me out: - both have this kind of situation based humour where the stakes seem really high but in reality they're not cause it's a comedy and the situation they're on could never exist irl - for both shows, I started for the comedy but stayed for the plot and the characters

You want shows that don't hold back in low brow vulgar humor? Look no further than these two! Prison School and Panty & Stocking both have no qualms about getting down and dirty.... LITERALLY! However rather than using vulgar humor for shock, both of these shows embrace their style of humor and go above and beoynd with how obscene they can get. Panty & Stocking uses every opportunity it can to make immature jokes as eventful as possible while Prison School doesn't hold back in making sexual jokes and toilet humor and centers the gags around some intense scenarios. Neither series really run out of  read more

Same type of humor sometimes, but I think people that enjoyed Prison School will enjoy this as well.
report Recommended by Weeyuhboo
Both highly entertaining ecchi shows produced by JC Staff. Both shows are unapologetically ecchi, but surround their ecchi with ridiculous scenarios. In both cases, drama and tension is raised as high as possible, even for the most minor of situations. Both shows are very funny if you can tolerate the ecchi.

You like the ribald and vulgar humor in one of the anime? Than maybe the other one is something for you too! The main charaters in both anime are sexual frustrated boys, that are running after some tits and have to endure hardship while doing so. Otherwise they are quite different. Prison School has a school setting while Desert Punk is more on the action side. But if you like this kind of humor both anime will make you laugh for sure.

- Both tells about prison / like prison - Deadman Wonderland is more about violence, and gory, when Prison School is more comedy and ecchi - Both have moe heroine and the hero still a student (in DMW, Ganta is in junior high school and prison school's hero are in high schools) - both are two of three prison anime that exist (After Rainbow) - Both have group that fighting for survive and freedom (well, deadman wonderland is more action than prison school) - Both have sexy turnkey ( lol ) and have fanservice inside. And both have dirty words / jokes inside .. (DMW have more dirty words but PS  read more

Both are comedies with dirty jokes, while Prison School has ero&ecchi service and Osomatsu-san has parody elements. The main male characters in both series are TOTEI(virgin) and long for get touch with girls, so they make a lot of funny troubles.
