Both contain dating-sim premise as well as use it for comedic effect. Both series also deal with fantasy/sci-fi settings to poise a problem that needs to be solved by making girls fall for the main character.

No doubting that these two animes give the same vibe as 'Dating to save the world' is the main shared plot. Although Kami Nomi should contain more "intelligent" scoring, the comedy has never escaped any of these shows. 

To put it simple, if you like Date A Live, it's high probable that you're going to like Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai.

The idea of a game like scenario where the main protagonist must win the hearts of female characters is a theme present in both series.

The main male protagonist isn't very popular with girls though but still is assigned to the task after a faithful day. He also has a "sister" around him that guides him through these tasks.

Both series consists of 'arcs' that focuses on a specific characters for the main character to unlock the hearts of. However, they each contain obstacles. Among other things, both series has a lot of comedy, drama, and takes place @ at a high school setting.

The male leads are coerced into making various girls fall in love with them, in order to "save humanity". The main males have to set flags with each heroine, and make her fall for him to the point that they kiss. The difference lies in that in Kami nomi the heroine would forget everything that happened after the kiss, while in Date A Live the girls remember everything.

'Save the world, date these girls!' is what these two animes are screaming. One is more based on action, while the other one is more based on romance. While Itsuka Shidou dates the girls to save the world and stop spacequakes, Keima dates the girls to stop himself from being beheaded by the collar on his neck. Both animes have a similar feel as well, though the anime version of Date A Live goes more in detail in terms of story than Kami nomi does.

These two are about a guy who isn't very popular with girls until one day it becomes his job to make girls fall in love with him! The fate of the world is in his hands depending on what he does. Both also have to do with him dealing with outer world things. The guy MC also has a female helping him out with his quests/missions.

They are similar by the fact that both animes have a main male protagonist who was suddenly involved with a girl who has forced them into trying to make girls fall in love with them.

While in The World God Only Knows, the male protagonist HAS to do it or else his head will be cut off. In TWGOK he has to capture girls to make loose souls get out of that persons body.

In Date A Live it has the same aspect but he has to make girls fall in love with them so he can lock the magic inside the spirit to stop space quakes from happening.  read more

A guy is caught up in a supernatural situation where he has to take girls on dates. The protagonist of the World God only Knows however is self-capable of this task most of the time while the protagonist of Date A Live needs a lot of help in order to date about 1/5 of the girls of the other. Date A Live is also more ecchi and has action and mechs in addition to the dating sim style harem setup.

It's pretty much the same with a little difference. I re-watched both of them and compared them. They have a resemblance with each other. If you like romance anime with a dose of comedy, then both of them I highly recommend.

Both anime are about a guy who's tasked with falling in love with girls so as to release their Spirit power (in Date A Live) or evil spirits (in The World God Only Knows). Both anime have an aspect of visual novel games to them and have quite the diverse variety of girls to fall in love with.

Dating is something important and kissing is the final stage of dating. If you enjoy watching Date A Live, you must be enjoying Kami nomi, and vice versa. Both story goes from a boy who have a mission to make a girl fall in love. The comedy level is similar and i'll say that you'll be like this anime.

The both involve the main character conquesting other girls, and slowly building up a harem. If you have seen Date a Live, watch Kaminomi, since it is a much better take on the story. Also, if you have seen Kaminomi, don't watch Date A Live.

Heroine anime but these girls all remember and a super powers. To control these girls powers is to fall in love with them. So both are about falling in love with girls to save them. This guy plays dating sims once he is about to date the girls unlike how the guy from TWGOK is already a god at them.

Both anime have many things in common including little sister characters that are adorable, the idea that dating sims is the only way to survive rather than date in real life, lots of comedy, decent amounts of fanservice, etc. (I could go on and on). At first, both anime seem kind of dry and the artwork appears unusual, but later on you get used to the visuals (very quickly too, for all the people who base anime off of visual like me). Both are great, fun, and are similar in different ways! If you haven't seen either of them, then what are you waiting for?

These two are basically the same anime ,both animes are about the main character having to date girls in order to save the world. Both animes also have good amount of comedy and romance.

Both include a main character who, to save his own life and/or world, has to date unique girls and have them fall in love. They both also use strategies they learn from dating sims to cause these girls to fall in love with them. (Although in Date A Live, he's given instructions from his team with a small mic in his ear, in which they choose what to say according to dating sim scenarios.) 
The only major differences is that in Date A Live, the girls don't forget Shido after he gets them to fall in love with him, and in Kami nomi, they do. Plus Date A Live has a futuristic setting along with extremely dangerous girls while Kami nomi is just modern times.  read more

The protagonist lived a pretty much normal life, until the day a girl showed up asking for his help on saving other girls through kissing them, but just a normal kiss won't do, they have to elaborate ways to make the girls fall for them first! Does that sound familiar? Well, this same description works well for both.

Both anime deal with 'spirits'. In TWGOK, the main character uses love to draw out the runaway spirit in between the gap in their heart. In Date A Live, the main character makes the spirit fall in love with him, saving her.

Both shows are about a guy that is forced to conquer the girls by making them fall in love with them.
It involves a lot of harem, comedy and romance and the main character from both animes are somehow pretty similar.
If you enjoyed watching Date a Live, you will absolutely enjoy watching Kami nomi, and vice-versa.

Both this anime has a story that is almost similar. It can be seen from the number offemale characters, or can be referred to the harem. Both anime have the same goal. Namely conquering the hearts of women, which ended with a kiss scene.

Protagonists are faced with the task of making multiple girls fall in love with him, for the sake of those girls or to prevent the destruction of a city. Both work with an organization that specializes on that sort of stuff, working along with other characters to fulfill their goals. They involve a lot of romance, and Date A Live also has a lot of fights and action.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai is one of my favorite shows and probably one of the best masterpieces in anime. Though it's kinda sad since it ended in season three, and it didn't show some of arcs that can be seen in the manga. I'm still not satisfied in the ending, it's a cliffhanger it didn't show what happened to the goddesses after their fight with the weiss. So in order to make myself sane while waiting for a 4th season(hopefully) I searched an anime that's kinda similar to it, and that's when I found Date A Live.

If you are a fan of Kami nomi series I recommend Date A Live because it gives you the same feeling when you're watching the Kami nomi series. Date A Live uses "Spirits" instead of loose souls, but that what makes it quite unique, though they both give disasters to the everyday life of people. Not to mention in Date A Live there are also many cute waifu candidates like Tohka and Kurumi, but don't lewd Yoshino, I swear if u lewd Yoshino I'll call the FBI Immediately to quarantine you in order to be destroyed before you can contaminate anyone with your lolicon taste. *Cough* Even if many people judge Date A Live because of it's slight similarity to Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai but Date A Live has it's own aspect, and even allowed the protagonist to join in fights unlike the protagonist from Kami nomi, it's a zero to hero situation.

In conclusion Date A Live is a perfect show for any unsatisfied Kami nomi fans, and even to anyone who likes the comedy and harem genre. It has cute girls that is acceptable to lewd except one, and has a good plot. You can even see common clichés like secret polygamous dating, walk-in-the-occupied-bathroom, and jealousy everywhere, not to mention some unexpected things that I can't tell to you, just watch the anime or read the light novel, but don't forget, this is just my opinion, everyone has their own taste and we can't criticize them because you think their taste is shit, have a lovely day! 😊😊😊 read more

The premise for both of these series are really similar. the MC has to make girl's fall in love with him to save them.

In Date a Live the MC has to raise the affection of certain girl's known as spirits and kiss them to seal their power and stop them from being harmed by people hunting said spirits 

In The World God Only Knows the MC accidentally signs a contract with a demon in which he has to get rid of loose souls that have escaped hell and planted themselves inside of the hearts of young girls. in order to do this the MC as to fill the space in the girl's heart the souls occupy with feelings of love for him. Also if he does not fulfill his contract he gets decapitated along with the demon who he sight the contract with. read more

date a live has more plot to begin with and Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai builds up an amazing plot later in the series

Can two things be more similar than this.

The main is tasked with winning over the girls, the girls involved with spirits that is. Have to kiss them, seal the spirits and yeah that's all, do this and a new member's been added to harem. Also same high school setting with a blend of comedy and ecchi too here and there. 

So if looking to watch a romantic comedy with a big harem, can consider either of them.

There is fan service in both series along with some drama, action, and comedy. Romance is obvious between the main male and female character in both series.

They also take place at a school life setting.

Date A Live & Infinite Stratos both make an interesting romance comedy to watch as the main character in both is constantly being bashed and sometimes at the mercy of others. 

-In each of these series the main characters life is constantly in danger whether it be from enemy or the other love rivals

-Both Infinite and Date the females have some sort of superhuman/supernatural power they use in order to get what they want.

-The main characters siblings in both series are someone of high importance.

-Main character is saved by one or multiple members of the female cast at times.

For aesthetic and abstract reasons, Date-A Live holds a ton of similarities to Infinite Stratos, it's pretty much what you'll think of each other when any of these titles are brought up. Kirei shoujos, sci-fi, a shonen who becomes the mediator where each of the girls falls to him for reasons that he's the main character, blushing this fanservice that, and ultimately these characters are memorable.

These two shows are nowhere near my cup of tea, but I acknowledge them both because despite all the silliness, there's plot and character entwined.
And oh, there's Marina Inoue in both of them as well.

Both are about male protagonist's who works with girls to help save the world, however in Infinite Stratos the protagonist bonds with a team of girls and they work together to save the world from evil whereas in Date A Live the protagonist befriends the girls to stop them from destroying the world. Both are part of the Harem, School, Sci-fi and comedy genres. Also in both the male protagonists are unique in what they do, as in they're one of a kind.

Both have a harem sort of feel while at the same time provide comedy and romance also. Date alive is a more serious/ or more action anime while infinite stratos has a metropolis-tic theme and feel. Overall though I feel that both anime have the same feels and are worth watching equally as much as the other.

The personalities of Male protagonists in both series are somewhat similar, whether it is Ichika in Infinite Stratos or Shidou in Date a Live, both characters are innocent and they don't know what is happening around them at first. The fighting style of both protagonists is similar as both usually fight with their swords. In both series there are many female protagonists gathered around the male protagonist (known as Harem) but both of them always respected the female characters and never looked at them in perverted manner. In both series one of the female protagonist is their own sister, Ichika's elder sister Chifuyu in Infinite Stratos and Shidou's younger sister Kotori in Date a Live. Both series show girls with mecha machines but Infinite Stratos is purely based on mecha machines so all characters in Infinite Stratos use these machines. Harem in both series is very good and Action scenes are nerve-racking. There are many Comedy scenes in both series that will surely make you laugh and sometime tension is there among Characters. So if you like one then you may like the other one too. That's it guys. read more

Both are harem shows, which the main guy is your typical ordinary boy, until an encounter with a girl. In both shows, the girls are not human, both shows involve chick battle actions, and especially in both shows, the "kiss" is an important factor.
In Sekirei, the kiss is the "contract" and the power boost, while in DAL, the kiss is the power seal

In essence, both series involves a normal main male protagonist who gets caught up with a not-so-normal girl. That girl has superhuman powers but at the same time naive about the world around her.

In both series, there's other girls who seems to be interested in the main guy thus causing drama and stirs up misunderstandings. There's also action, drama, comedy, and ecchi.

Both series' main male protagonist also have similar personalities as they put others' will being above their own.

One guy with many girls... though something very unique from the girl's side. The main male character has suddenly caught up in a situation where they saw a girl with unique abilities. A male character mostly "kissed" them where a supernatural phenomenon occurs, and will follow their partner wherever they go. 

Date A Live, is followed by a boy in high school, where the girls have a destructive nature around the planet. When kissed, their powers were sealed inside of them. Sekirei follows a college student, who found the girls in a competition around the city. When kissed they are "winged" and joining the competition.

Both are part of the harem genre and pretty much all the girls have super powers. However, Date a Live's main character requires the girls to fall in love with him while Sekirei's main character just makes them fall in love with him naturally.

SIMILARITIES:
*They both revolve around a race of mysterious female aliens (Sekirei/Spirits) who are scorned by society in one way or another.
*The male lead (Minato/Shido) is really awkward with girls and can add the aliens to his harem using a kiss.
*The main heroine (Musubi/Tohka) is very strong, eats a lot and is generally not very bright but at times surprisingly insightful.
*The main villain (Minaka/Isaac) is a white-haired sociopath who runs a shady corporation and frequently screws with the aliens for his own twisted amusement.
*The second alien to be added is a little girl (Kusano/Yoshino).
*They're both lighthearted comedies for the most part but are also very serious at times.
*Some of the same voice actors e.g. Musubi and Kurumi are voiced by Alexis Tipton, Kusano and Yoshino are voiced by Tia Ballard and Benitsubasa and Ellen are voiced by both Shizuka Ito and Trina Nishimura.

DIFFERENCES:
*Minato's kiss awakens a Sekirei's true power, while Shido's kiss seals a Spirit's power to keep it from going out of control.
*Shido gets progressively stronger over the series, while Minato never gets any stronger and instead relies on his brains.
*Minaka is in the series from the beginning and is quite comedic and wacky, while Isaac doesn't make his first appearance until season 2 and is taken completely seriously.

Very similar harem shows that involve the protagonist kissing different people to awaken/seal their supernatural powers. Also similar is the main cast of characters, most of them really likeable, with all of the standard harem tropes covered.

In Ore no Nounai, the main character has to choose between two choices, and quickly, to prevent terrible headaches. In Date A Live, a whole team stands behind the main character, and decides his choice by voting majority.

Amakusa  Kanade and Itsuka Shidou are thrust into a situation that involves multiple choice sequences. There lives are now just like an Eroge/Galge game where his choices will impact his relationship with said girl. Characters from both series share the same personality and character design. Also they are in the same class as Kanade/Shidou. Tobiichi Origami and Yukihira  Furano share the same personality.  Yatogami Tohka and Yuuouji  Ouka love to eat. If you like one then I recommend the other too.

Decisions, Decisions... Which will you pick? A: Date A Live; B: Noucome; or C: Both of them. Choose one, and you will be drawn into the anime. In the series, the main male character mostly have a multiple choice of questions in order to make that person have an interest in him. However, once they choose one, they will expect  outcomes in regards of the persons emotions, physically, or their feelings. It could be embarrassing but it is the only way to advance in the next level.

The difference is that Date A Live is a some sci-fi setting, some action scenes, and uses a ship for questions. Noucome uses the main character's brain in a series of questions, and sometimes slapstick.  read more

Both have stereotypical female archtype characters (abliet, there are different kinds for each anime) that are played pretty true to the character, both are in a similar visual novel style with actual choices they have to make, they both have quite a bit of fanservice, and great art.  Both have pretty good sound tracks, and the male characters are both generic, semi-dense, and the least most interesting character.  I also love both these series.

Protagonists are faced with two or three visual novel-like dialogue options, and have to choose between them, though there is usually only one reasonable option. The more absurd choices are often used for comedy, and it works pretty well, making for fun moments in each show.

In general, both animes have about the same theme around it; making choices. 

The main character looks and behaves the same in each anime.
The side characters also have very similar appearances and behaviors, etc. Origami from Date a Live and Yukihira from Noucome.

Although Noucome may seem to be a direct copycat of Date a Live, I can assure you that both have their own strengths, their sense of humor and comedy is different but still great, and you can expect new content from each one.

Due to their intense similarities, I believe that if you liked one, you would like the other as well.

If you like the ecchi genre of High School DXD, you were going to like that of Date A Live and To Love Ru.
The strength of these works is the complexity of writing that the characters receive from the author.
All the characters are endearing, with stories that reinforce the main plot while highlighting the complicity between all the characters, but above all the characters are never neglected by the author whether they are the protagonist or a secondary character.
The humor is not heavy but it is also not very subtle at times, clearly you're going to have a good time watching these works which are of a very good quality.
The romance in these ecchi are a little abandoned at some moments to deepen the universe that surrounds them, which I do not dislike but I prefer to warn.  
The animation remains correct for anime that "date a little"
To tell you, I think it's the best ecchi that exist now. (Sorry Peter Grill) 
These anime deserve a 7,5/10 or 8,5/10.   read more

Its like a non ecchi version of High School DXD, that i found very much interesting .
People who loved high school dxd or who wanted a non ecchi type of it , I would recommend "Date A Live".

both of the series focusing the story on the pratagonist:arata and shido
both of the pratagonist have a special ability in the stories(arata is magic king and can copy magic when shido can keep spirit power also dating spirit king(tohka) 
both of the stories start the series with 2nd heroine pratagonist that firstly look like ordinary girl,but in the future they take the big part on the series: kotori and hijiri(and both of them are pratagonist's unrelated blood siblings either)
both of the main heroine have similiar personality:tohka and lilith.first both of them are strong (spirit and trinity),second both of them easy to jelous if the pratagonist flirt or date with other girl,both of them have a little tsundere personality.
both of the stories only have 1 other main male characters which is the head master and vice commander.both of them have serious cool and funny personality,and both of them are strong and can do their job perfectly

I could say that they are similar in simple terms.. Arata of Trinity Seven also have a Dress Breaker and Shido is Something Different.. every Time He kiss A spirit the will lose their dresses. Date A Live is Not ecchi unlike Trinity seven but i recommend it if you love Date A Live im sure you will, other similarities too are, The Dere types of characters, there are some Kuudere Dandere and Tsundere like characters in Trinity Seven, Twins are Also Involve

Both have a really terribly bad—but still for some reason kind of exciting—story. Both have the same harem content (every girl falls somehow for the main—well almost every). Both are ecchi and have very similar action content. (In Kore wa Zombie, it's fantasy-action and in Date a Live, it's sci-fi-action, but both have a very similar action style.) Both have excellent animation and artwork. Both have the same humor—a really stupid but damn funny humor! Both have these situations where you don't know whether you should be laughing or crying; these situations happen even when the lowest trash gets the most awesome thing in the world! Male leads meet various girls who are supernatural (magical) beings and slowly but surely form a harem consisting of beautiful otherworldly girls. While most of the time these shows run on comedy and action routine, at the climax of the story, it can get very dramatic and emotional.

Help! I can't write a gripping opening that would make anyone ever want to read this recommendation!! 

So I'll just start it here. If you liked Sora no Otoshimono, chances are, you'll like Date a Live. Or... if you liked Date a Live, chances are, you'll like Sora no Otoshimono. OR if you like cute mecha parody anime with a sort of harem amongst one guy, many mecha girls, comedy, and action, you'll probably like either one of these. The two anime relate in the fact that they have a guy who is surrounded by a bunch of mecha/different girlies. In Sora no Otoshimono, the main character happens to 'pick up' a girl who stays by his side as he is her 'master'. In Date a Live, the main character has to save the world by sealing away girl's powers by making them fall in love with him. 

BORING. Right? Nu uh, no way Jose, noppers! Both of these anime will keep you drawn in with a mixture of comical moments and some action packed fights... and some incredibly cute girls. Sora no Otoshimono was more lighthearted and easier to follow compared to Date a Live, as it doesn't have many arcs or twists. Date a Live, on the other hand, gets pretty into it to the fact that you wouldn't think it's a comedy to begin with. However, both anime basically have the same mood and will draw you in if you have enjoyed either one of these series.  read more

Sora no Otoshimono and Date A Live. All the girls fall from the sky, and have different abilities. Some are called angeloids (SnO) and other spirits (DaL). The protagonist accepts them as they are, despite being seen as a danger to humanity. The girls are attracted to the protagonist becoming their protector or teacher, who is always there to help them, even if it is just a human. The thing gets complicated when the girls are manipulated by their own mind (or by others) and can get to finish with the planet. As far as these two series goes, Date a Live and Neptune both involves girls with super powers. Their setting contrasts each other but they have similar character designs. This is because Tsunako is involved with the artwork which makes both series' characters look somewhat similar in terms of their looks.

These two series also shares a similarity in which the characters can transform but only with a certain condition are met. Their transformations grants them new powers that enhances their battle tactics.

Both series' cast also are made up mainly of female characters (although DAL includes a main male protagonist).

I sincerely make this recommendation because the truth is that the animes are very similar and both seem to me to be magnificent Harems. Hanayome seems like a good anime to me because it seems very funny to me, it has a splendid story That is like a McDonald's Hamburger the more you eat the more you want, secondly it seems to me that you can easily become attached to the characters making them take more places in our hearts 10/10

If you want a sci-fi anime with harem elements, both are good choices. You will find : 
- A great artsyle and an interesting world building 
- A powerful main character with many love interests
- A futuristic setting with a main cast of teenagers

Itsuka Shidou, just like Mikado Ryuugamine, enters a proverbial world where the supernatural is treated as an everyday occurence that must be staved off. Major events occur as a result of these supernatural factors, and while Date A Live treats Shidou as though getting rid of the supernatural was his job, Durarara!! treats its cast as though it were everyone's job.

Their misadventures across their local area lead them to encounter a multitude of conventionally attractive girls who possess superpowers with mysterious origins, as well as groups of people who want to help them and organizations who are against their cause. Their loved ones are occasionally turned against them as well in part due to these organizations and their goals.

Both Mikado and Shidou have a pretty solid moral compass, and are usually not willing to tread over their ideals in order to reach their goals. They're both teenage boys who treat those around them very nicely, even if Mikado goes through some hardships in the psychological department and Shidou doesn't. Both main characters have some sort of mysterious past integral to the happenings of the plot, although Date A Live hasn't revealed Shidou's yet.

In both of these shows, whenever an arc finishes, the world returns to its status quo, and Durarara!! even explicitly mentions this in its narration. There are almost no permanent changes aside from new, somewhat interesting additions to the cast once a story ends and another one begins. It's also worth noting that both Mikado and Shidou take a very long time to go through any sort of character development.

The character designs are considerably less over-the-top in Durarara!! than in Date A Live, but both their casts are equally colorful in terms of personality and philosophy, but it's notable that Date a Live specifically avoids giving backstories to most of its characters due to the nature of its premise. Their names are also very memorable, so you shouldn't have too difficult of a time remembering who's who like in most generic shows. read more

First off, Kanade in Angel Beats will remind u of Tohka in Date A Live because both of them give off a similar expression i.e. both of them attacked or tried to attack the main male protagonist.

Both anime have these 'space quakes' in which beings from another dimension seem to appear from. The cities where these quakes have adapted to them happening and people otherwise live their same old lives since before they started happening, though people do have to evacuate every time they happen.

Oh, and some really weird people tend to come from that other dimension.

Same school, action, romance, ecchi and harem genre.
Same situation where the MC has no idea who he is.
Same situation where most of the harem would be living in the MC's house.

Dissimilarities:
One has an extra, mecha, sci-fi genre, while the other has supernatural as its extra genre.

Both have the same ecchi and harem genre, however one was more of martial arts while the other was moire onto scifi, so make your decision if both were worthy of watching since the mods wants such recommendations as presuasive.

Both anime have the brother and sister relationship and both sister's in these anime was voiced by Taketatsu Ayana.

The difference between these two anime is that date a live is about dating a girl with supernatural elements while oreimo 2 is more on hanging out with your sister playing eroge games.

They has the same Harem thing. But they do have different plots and Date A Live focuses on each character more while Oreshura focuses mostly on only one.

- Shidou Itsuka = Kouta Oyamada (Male MC)
- Origami Tobiichi = Nozomu Ezomori (Light haired dandere)
- Tohka Yatogami = Chizuru Minamoto (Dark haired that first captivates male MC)

Both involve an indirect love triangle and although the two female MC fight each other, mostly over male MC, they eventually team up to fight a bigger evil. Both also involving kissing that either unlocks power (kanokon) or seals power (DAL).

date a live I&2 are very similar since they both a romantic comedy and have a main character who has multiple girls fall for him while never actually picking 1 to stay with however there is 1 out of the multiple girls that would be considered "the one" ie: tohka and Shido and tsukiko and youto

The protagonist both have special abilities, such as in Date A Live he can seal a spirits power and in Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance he is the only male spirit contractor. Both are harem genre. I also see a similarity in the characters such as Kotori and Claire; both being able to use flames, Rinslet and Yoshino both being able to control ice, and Est and Origami because of their similar appearances and similar personalities.

The MC gains power he didn't know how to use but tends to get use to it to protect girls with twin tailed hair. 
Awesome mecha anime and too much twintail attractions!

Date A Live is pretty much a dating sim version of NGE.

You've got the powerful angels/girls from another world, and only one person can save the planet. He must do so by dating/fighting them. The town is also outfitted with defense/date mechanisms.

Kidou Senkan Nadesico addpermalink

Both shows are parodies of the mecha genre in their own unique ways - Nadesico is a parody by making humorous homages to old school mecha anime and what was current at the time it came out (specifically, it parodied a fair amount of NGE), whereas Date a Live parodies the premises of most mecha anime by replacing the invading force with cute girls, and having the hero date them to save the world.

Both shows have some haremish elements (in Nadesico, there are 3-5 women who want the main character; in Date a Live, it's a straight up harem), both shows have a fair amount of action, and the more mecha shows you've watched, the funnier you'll find both. read more

Both series have the female character protagonists and antagonist completely dominant over society, Shidou(Main protagonist of Date A Live), is a lot like Ichika, accept the complete opposite at the same time.

They deal with mecha, and action sequences similar to the animation of 8bit studios. This show won't disappoint you at all if you are looking for something to fill the void after Infinite Stratos.

Although the storyline isn't similar at all, both share some similarities:
The main male character seems to be normal at first, then he is presented to a completely different world.
Both share a main heroine that had her name given by the main hero, getting in love with him because he is the first to behave like that.
Also, although SnS is way less harem-directed and less ecchi, both have lots of girls/women around the main hero.

Both main heroines are jealous about the main hero, but Tohka takes it way better :P (due to the storyline, probably)

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai addpermalink

Both anime share common genres which are harem/romance/comedy and focus on a male protagonist (of course). Boku wa Tomodachi is a full-on comedy that also deals with some important issues. I guaranteed this anime will have you up till 6 in the morning watching it because it is truly a hilarious, sexy, and enjoyable show. This anime not only targets male viewers but a female audience too. Anyway, enjoy ^_^ (P.S. There is a sequel to this anime!!!)

I'm actually surprised I am the first to recommend this.

Both of these shows start off with a typical guy who is nothing special, and then all of a sudden he's the real deal with a hot girl on his side.

Some other small similarities are
-Both have magic in them
-Both have sisters who were secretly involved 
-Both have a lot of destruction

Both anime have the genres sci-fi and mecha. In my opinion, the art styles and the whole fighting scenario are similar. However, if you liked the harem situation in Date A Live, AKB is not the anime for you. Similarly, if you liked the music in AKB, Date A Live is not for you. But they are similar in that the plots center around people being impacted by others, for example space quakes in Date A Live and music being banned in AKB. But in my opinion, AKB is more dismal and more sci-fi orientated.
