Meet Normal-kun. Normal-kun is, overall, not stunningly popular. However, due to certain ridiculous circumstances, the world will be in great peril unless he dates a bunch of girls and gets them to fall in love with him. Follow Normal-kun on his occasionally humorous quest to "gotta catch 'em all".

In both series, the female characters are the dominant characters as they take the skies and brings about the action with their abilities. The main male protagonist gets acquainted with these characters as some of them develop feelings for him. There is fan service in both series along with some drama, action, and comedy. Romance is obvious between the main male and female character in both series. They also take place at a school life setting.

Same thing different approach... Seal powers with a kiss.

"Make a choice". In both animes, the main character has to make choices, dating game style! In Ore no Nounai, the main character has to choose between two choices, and quickly, to prevent terrible headaches. In Date A Live, a whole team stands behind the main character, and decides his choice by voting majority.

Both are great harems. Date A Live doesn't have "nudity" in it compared to High School DxD.

Harems with very likeable characters, fantastic humor, wonderful voice acting, and generous fanservice.

Has elements of harem and a male protagonist meeting a girl that is not human with powers. Has comedy scenes as well as action/fighting scenes.
report Recommended by kuuderehime
The two male MCs are playboys, can't create a romantic atmosphere, but the girls love him very much. There is also a very sweet kiss scene, maybe you like it

As far as these two series goes, Date a Live and Neptune both involves girls with super powers. Their setting contrasts each other but they have similar character designs. This is because Tsunako is involved with the artwork which makes both series' characters look somewhat similar in terms of their looks. These two series also shares a similarity in which the characters can transform but only with a certain condition are met. Their transformations grants them new powers that enhances their battle tactics. Both series' cast also are made up mainly of female characters (although DAL includes a main male protagonist).
report Recommended by Stark700
Plot involves Male MC dealing with girls having supernatural powers, and by getting them to kiss, either seals power shut or reveals what power the girl has. Only difference is genre-based on magic vs "other-worldly" / (I wouldn't describe Tohka as an alien?) and Male MC behavior on delinquent vs average Joe.

-harem -each show has a clear enemy with two distinct teams fighting against them -girls with cool superpowers -interesting and attention keeping undertones of romance
report Recommended by Bheaze
Both are harems full of fanservice and try to be serious. The girls all have social problems and are hunted by some eeeevil organisation and seek shelter from the main character, who is the only guy who can save them with the power of friendship
report Recommended by Meip
Relationships between the main characters and their friends have many similarities, and this is a big thing because personal relationships are important in both series. Also one can say that Strike the Blood is more “calm” version of Date A Live in this matter.

Both anime involves dating games and making girls fall in love with the main character and those girls are spirits. They're both comedic as well.

1. Isekai 2. Nice action 3. Harems 4. Cool Protag 5. Group of cool chicks around him

I haven't compared it to the storyline that much but fighting techniques are quite the same and artwork is same to that of accel world

Main character must make girls fall in love with him. To save them from their turmoil. Both have comedy, romance, harem, drama, and great characters
report Recommended by AnimeFan500
if you are the type of person to be guilty enough to love harem type comedies, with a hint of drama from time to time, then i think this one would be perfect for you. it's a step higher quality-wise from the former, but it's still a treat.

Same approach in terms of 'kissing to release/subdue the powers' of the girls. The protagonist has that special ability to lead these girls after being able to win them over..
report Recommended by MagicFlier
The power is in the kiss. And the protagonist (a guy who got lucky in life) kiss all the girls. Only while in Campione them the kiss to give you power in Date A Live he kisses to seal their powers.

Plenty of plot, ez harem, pretty cool fighting, KURUMI IS EVERYWHERE, Plenty of plot, Mc is boi, Plenty of episodes, Lots of plot.

In both animes, the MC saves some girls and after that, they become really attached/fall in love to/with the MC. Moka's personality is almost the same as Tooka's. also a lot of fanservice. If you prefer animes with a harem that contains a good load of comedy. you'll surelly enjoy these animes :)
report Recommended by Silver_Borz
Both of them are "harem based" comedies, with other world girls. A main character that looks like a stupid weak coward, but when the time comes, he defends "her girls" from anyone
report Recommended by Draxter_16
Date A Live is another cheesy mecha harem. I prefer Date A Live because Date A Live doesn't even pretend to take itself seriously...ever.
report Recommended by Midg3tLuv
The main character has to charm various girls in order to stop them from destroying absolutely everything. To me, Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism is inferior to Date A Live in absolutely every single aspects, but if you're into that, then you might like both of those.
report Recommended by NatoBoram
Both have kinda similar story and plot if we exclude the one is kinda magice based and cupid chocklate is less magic , action date a live mc is fourced to date girls and solve their prob and take them under control here mc is fourced to date girls and solve their prob to lift the cupid curse they still love them after that solving too

Average guys suddenly entangled in supernatural harem situations (in Date A Live through dating to save the world and in 100Kanojo with a guy destined to meet 100 soulmates to save them). - Both MC's face extraordinary romance under bizarre circumstances - Each series feature diverse personalities, from tsundere to mysteriously enigmatic - Both mix comedy with romance while keeping balance

I sincerely make this recommendation because the truth is that the animes are very similar and both seem to me to be magnificent Harems. Hanayome seems like a good anime to me because it seems very funny to me, it has a splendid story That is like a McDonald's Hamburger the more you eat the more you want, secondly it seems to me that you can easily become attached to the characters making them take more places in our hearts 10/10 give yourself a live Well, Date a Live seems like another magnificent Harem to me, it's very nice to see how each story of each character  read more

They both have a main character who thinks that all their enemies are not evil and try to be friends with them In demon slayer it’s tanjiro who protects nezuko in spite of being a demon and comes on good terms with more demons In date a live it is shidou who thinks that the spirits are not bad and tries to make them fall in love with him so he can save them

Tensura: Every time I sit down to watch this anime felt like a breath of fresh air from life. It’s just so fun, it gives off a super tranquilizing vibe to watch + it has the most epic, energetic high-level action + crazy, Fluid animation + Shion is exquisitely beautiful + Mirimu is the cutest Date A Live: The G.O.A.T Romance Drama, Kurumi is one of the most elegant anime girls you'll ever see, Great battles but not as intense as Tensura Both of them made me experience incomprehensible ecstacy from their legendary, magical OP's, their unique plot, crazy worldbuilding, bloody fights and creative power system, makes both of them an extremely immersive, joyful adventure

- Both have supernatural and tech aspects - Both protagonists save heroines from trouble and those heroines fall in love with him afterwards - Both have an aggressive girl whose eyes have two different colors - Both protagonists have little sisters who care for them deeply What's better is Date A Live has a 2nd season so you'll have a nice harem anime that'll satisfy you for awhile.

Both of these series are involved in a futuristic setting where women are mainly played as the stronger types of the universe. The main character has to figure out which girl is the “perfect” one in the futuristic world, dominated by an altering of virtual reality.

Itsuka Shidou, just like Mikado Ryuugamine, enters a proverbial world where the supernatural is treated as an everyday occurence that must be staved off. Major events occur as a result of these supernatural factors, and while Date A Live treats Shidou as though getting rid of the supernatural was his job, Durarara!! treats its cast as though it were everyone's job. Their misadventures across their local area lead them to encounter a multitude of conventionally attractive girls who possess superpowers with mysterious origins, as well as groups of people who want to help them and organizations who are against their cause. Both anime has a character who lost his parents in a fire. And they have spirits that use a weapon that represent them, similar to Noble Phantasms.

Most of these two shows deal with a jealous harem, as it also deals with the MC whose sister is the companion trying to compete with this harem.

Both involve romance, mechas, comedy, boobs and action; plus Yunoha and Yoshinon are extremely a like. Except Date A Live is a harem, and Aquarion Evol has a love square thing and multiple couples.

If you have seen Date A Live, it will remind you of Angel Beats. First off, Kanade in Angel Beats will remind u of Tohka in Date A Live because both of them give off a similar expression i.e. both of them attacked or tried to attack the main male protagonist. *SPOILERS FOR BOTH* The main male protagonist falls in love with with the girl who tried to attack him or did attack him in the beginning of the anime and the girl falls in love with him too.

Both anime have these 'space quakes' in which beings from another dimension seem to appear from. The cities where these quakes have adapted to them happening and people otherwise live their same old lives since before they started happening, though people do have to evacuate every time they happen. Oh, and some really weird people tend to come from that other dimension.

Tohka and Saitohimea originally hated humans because of their unfortunate circumstances but the MC shows them genuine kindness, bringing out their cute dere sides.

The fights in Date a Live really reminded my off Black Rock Shooter, the intense battle with using some fancy guns and swords made it similar to the fights of BRS! Both are great series with lots of nice action!

The main male character is the only who can calm down the main female character. He must to do that for the sake of the world. The mental instability of the main girl, could affect or reflect the world stability.

Both feature a male mc who is drawn to the female mc both female mcs are other worldly -- one is a ghost the other is a being labeled as a spirit both females have memory issues both females get drawn to the male mc the females cannot relate to the rest of the world without the male mc

Similarities: Same school, action, romance, ecchi and harem genre. Same situation where the MC has no idea who he is. Same situation where most of the harem would be living in the MC's house. Dissimilarities: One has an extra, mecha, sci-fi genre, while the other has supernatural as its extra genre.

Both have the same ecchi and harem genre, however one was more of martial arts while the other was moire onto scifi, so make your decision if both were worthy of watching since the mods wants such recommendations as presuasive.

Both anime have the brother and sister relationship and both sister's in these anime was voiced by Taketatsu Ayana. The difference between these two anime is that date a live is about dating a girl with supernatural elements while oreimo 2 is more on hanging out with your sister playing eroge games.

- Shidou Itsuka = Kouta Oyamada (Male MC) - Origami Tobiichi = Nozomu Ezomori (Light haired dandere) - Tohka Yatogami = Chizuru Minamoto (Dark haired that first captivates male MC) Both involve an indirect love triangle and although the two female MC fight each other, mostly over male MC, they eventually team up to fight a bigger evil. Both also involving kissing that either unlocks power (kanokon) or seals power (DAL).

date a live I&2 are very similar since they both a romantic comedy and have a main character who has multiple girls fall for him while never actually picking 1 to stay with however there is 1 out of the multiple girls that would be considered "the one" ie: tohka and Shido and tsukiko and youto
report Recommended by Aznboilin
The protagonist both have special abilities, such as in Date A Live he can seal a spirits power and in Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance he is the only male spirit contractor. Both are harem genre. I also see a similarity in the characters such as Kotori and Claire; both being able to use flames, Rinslet and Yoshino both being able to control ice, and Est and Origami because of their similar appearances and similar personalities.

Main Character is a boy and gets paired with girls like a harem. The MC gains power he didn't know how to use but tends to get use to it to protect girls with twin tailed hair. Awesome mecha anime and too much twintail attractions!

Date A Live is pretty much a dating sim version of NGE. You've got the powerful angels/girls from another world, and only one person can save the planet. He must do so by dating/fighting them. The town is also outfitted with defense/date mechanisms.

Both shows are parodies of the mecha genre in their own unique ways - Nadesico is a parody by making humorous homages to old school mecha anime and what was current at the time it came out (specifically, it parodied a fair amount of NGE), whereas Date a Live parodies the premises of most mecha anime by replacing the invading force with cute girls, and having the hero date them to save the world. Both series have the female character protagonists and antagonist completely dominant over society, Shidou(Main protagonist of Date A Live), is a lot like Ichika, accept the complete opposite at the same time. They deal with mecha, and action sequences similar to the animation of 8bit studios. This show won't disappoint you at all if you are looking for something to fill the void after Infinite Stratos.

Although the storyline isn't similar at all, both share some similarities: The main male character seems to be normal at first, then he is presented to a completely different world. Both share a main heroine that had her name given by the main hero, getting in love with him because he is the first to behave like that. Also, although SnS is way less harem-directed and less ecchi, both have lots of girls/women around the main hero. Both main heroines are jealous about the main hero, but Tohka takes it way better :P (due to the storyline, probably)

Both anime share common genres which are harem/romance/comedy and focus on a male protagonist (of course). Boku wa Tomodachi is a full-on comedy that also deals with some important issues. I guaranteed this anime will have you up till 6 in the morning watching it because it is truly a hilarious, sexy, and enjoyable show. This anime not only targets male viewers but a female audience too. Anyway, enjoy ^_^ (P.S. There is a sequel to this anime!!!)

I'm actually surprised I am the first to recommend this. Both of these shows start off with a typical guy who is nothing special, and then all of a sudden he's the real deal with a hot girl on his side. Some other small similarities are -Both have magic in them -Both have sisters who were secretly involved -Both have a lot of destruction

Both anime have the genres sci-fi and mecha. In my opinion, the art styles and the whole fighting scenario are similar. However, if you liked the harem situation in Date A Live, AKB is not the anime for you. Similarly, if you liked the music in AKB, Date A Live is not for you. But they are similar in that the plots center around people being impacted by others, for example space quakes in Date A Live and music being banned in AKB. But in my opinion, AKB is more dismal and more sci-fi orientated.
