Recommendations

I'm recommending these series based on how they're both dark tragedies with the main character going through a lot of suffering in their day-to-day lives simply because of a nightmare appearing both figuratively and literally. Both series employ a dark pallet and similar character styles that are going to appeal to a certain audience.

Guyver was heavily influential for Zetman. Dark superhero series with similar premises and character dynamics; a fan of one is likely to enjoy the other. The plots of the two revolve around powerful corporations responsible for the creation of monsters with the ability to disguise themselves as humans. Rivals of the leads in both are sons (adopted in Guyver) of the heads of the corporations and share hero/anti-hero relationships. And, of course, in both series full-body combat suits are used against the monsters.

-An Organisation That Organizes Death Games. -A Plot That didn't want To Get Involved.

Everyone has monsters within them to deal with, and the main characters of these two series aren't any different. And while it is true that in Tiger & Bunny that the two series don't have the heroes fighting monsters, they're still fighting their own ilk while having to puzzle out a secret, just as the characters from Zetman have to.

With a dark gothic pallet for the animation and similar styles, both of these series involve a protagonist who is an antihero trying to do the right thing, but fate doesn't want to let them be just a hero and instead forces upon them a power that forces them into the role of antihero instead.

Both are mature anime with both fantastic and horror elements. They pose philosophical questions regarding justice, morality and perspective, showcasing the contrast between two strong male leads that represent the dark and light sides of the moral issues posed. They show gritty realism and mature themes, both are awesome shows for people who like to think as well as be surprised by something new and immersive. Zetman is much shorter, a little more science-fiction-based, and full of action, while Death Note is longer, more analytical and supernatural, and full of suspense and thrills. Both are interesting, well done anime on the borderline between seinen and  read more

Both of these Anime have similar styles, they are both sci-fi and both have quite a bit of blood and gore in them. Not to mention they're very dark series.

pretty much the same premise. Some kids develop supernatural powers and theres a society trying to eliminate/capture or use them for their own benefit. Zetman does it better though.

-Very similar plots -Bad childhood -Main character is a monster that fights other monsters.

The main characters both have supernatural powers that they use to save people. The humanoid creatures in Towa no Quon and Zetman look quite similar. Both stories have dark themes, action and violence.

Character models, gory themes and even the odd ed music is certainly nostalgic of gantz.

Dark atmosphere, check. Blood and gore, check. Romantic sex scene, check. Unearthly protagonists that hide in human skin to seek out and kill all of their supernatural peers, check.

Monsters plague the future, leaving the hero/heroines fighting against monsters that are set on destroying humanity yet there is the issue of losing oneself as everything unfolds. Both series are also action packed.

Both share the same rare anime theme of superheros, but Zetman takes a darker and more serious perspective on it with a more concrete story. The action is explosive on both ends and the main characters for each don't really care for a lot of things. The anime also share in having enemies that are more on the strange side.

Although they take place in different settings, Zetman and Shingeki no Kyojin both deals with monsters who are part of society and are out to kill and exterminate humanity for their purposes. The protagonists must survive in such a world with these monsters living in it through their skills and teamwork. Among other factors, both series has a lot of violence, action, and also some emotional moments. Both main male protagonists has a rather sad childhood but they do find new hope. Through hope, they hope to kill the monsters that took away their dreams. Both series has some comedy occasionally but the backgrounds are generally  read more

-Both animes contain physical transformations (transforming into another advanced species) -Both main characters have respect for human live -If you like gore and stuff then i'd recommend watching both of them (tho zetman has more) You should seriously watch these if you're interested in sci-fi & action. Enjoy ^^

Both anime series feature superheroes. Gatchaman Crowds has a team of superheroes called "Gatchamen" while Zetman has two rival heroes, ZET and Alphas. One difference between Zetman and Gatchaman Crowds is the art style; the other difference is the tone of the anime. Crowds has a lighthearted tone, while Zetman is a darker and more serious anime because of its post-apocalyptic nature.

so much great action in both anime / the main character is too strong / both are short anime both main characters have sad past.

There's plenty of action and fights. Both protagonists lose their family, have a girl they love and want to protect. There's monsters (Creatures wanting to kill people in Zetman) and zombies/vampries (in JoJo) Both protagonists want to become strong, they want to do what's right and end up fighting the "evil"
report Recommended by Hutai
Both show how people experiment with the protagonists to obtain greater power. In addition it shows the internal struggle of our protagonists in trying to be heroes, and being unable to do anything about it.

MC had a conflict with his life and then, BAM! His life is getting much more worse after finding out that he was not a human! Now, he'll face much more pain than before These anime are sci-fi genre, packed with bloody action and plot twists

Both protagonists are little kids, living among humans. But one day they lose someone very close to them and from that moment their life changes. We get to see how main character grows up and how strong he becomes, when he has to live among not only humans, but also beasts and monsters.

Both has creatures/monsters or alien looking things; people who will fight for humanity in order to help others. Super powers, monster fighting, music, voice actors, demons, demon lord planning to control humanity with his monsters. Looks different, but have some things in common too

Both protagonists have the ability to transform into superhuman beings that fight to protect mankind and destroy monstrous abominations.

Both series contain a dark and gloom atmosphere. While watching the series, there is also a mystery background-like feeling that fills the void of the story. Both series contain action, violence, and drama. Additionally, both the main protagonists are cold not wanting others to get involved with them. Both series also contain supernatural elements set in a dark city with an almost dystopian-like background.

Dark and gritty with a fair amount of violence, as well as genetic mutations/evolutions in humans that may give them monstrous qualities. Speed Grapher is more about corruption and vice, while Zetman is about violence begetting violence, but a fan of one series is likely to enjoy the other.

Grim an gritty future. Warped, wicked wealthy folk considering lower classes as disposable entertainment, genetic engineering, bioengineering, monstrous violence and violent monsters. Mardock Scramble is more sexually explicit but it is there in Zetman as well.

Sacrifice one life to ensure the safety of the rest, or try to save them all, even though survival isn't guaranteed? Both of these stories have complex themes about morality, justice and humanity: it's kindnesses and it's demons. Both have an inhuman protagonist that can change form and a human partner and foil who learns from them. Both also take place in a science fiction setting.
report Recommended by noirgrimoir
Dark themes, gore, death, revenge and justice. Both shows are suitable to mature viewers interested in seeing mystery, action, death and discussions on morality and humanity.
report Recommended by noirgrimoir
Both of these series starts off as tragedy stories after a startling revelation is made. From there, the main character tries to become someone they never thought to be and get justice. Along the way, both characters meets others whom they bond but also conflicts with. In both of these anime(s), there is action, violence, and drama. There is also comedy (less so in Zetman), and even very tiny hints of romance.

Action, drama, gore, and violence are present in both series. Although the MC are different genders, they share the theme of fulfilling duties and dark hero.

Both series deals with the world of crime and supernatural as the main male protagonist wishes to deliver their "justice". At the same time, another in both series tries to help people but in a different way. Both series' main male protagonists are independent, has a cold personality, and very confident in their abilities. Both series has drama, action, violence, and involves super power themes dealing beings with supernatural abilities who wishes to use their powers for their own ideologies. Both series' female characters also has a strong will to help others and be there for the main male protagonists.

Action, violence, gore, and drama present in both series. The theme is dark and tragedy is imminent.

Both anime revolve around a young boy who is learning about himself and his powers. Although the powers are a bit different, the boys are very alike in personality. They crave to deliver justice and won't stand aside while someone is being attacked. Oh, and Jin and Edward are voiced by the same person.

People who turn into disturbing creatures that need to be destroyed, and one man who risks his life to save others with little thought for reward or recognition. Other than that, not especially similar except in tone.
