Every anime and manga is a different world. Watching/Reading it is akin to delving into this world and escaping from reality. Leaving this wonderful world is excruciatingly hard, and when you finally return to reality, what awaits you is the cruel reality. If one of these worlds achieve an ending, happy or not, you can re-watch/re-read it in an attempt to experience it again. But it will no longer bring the same joy as before. The only solution is to simply find another, and repeat the cycle.

I meaninglessly live my days and before I knew it, my childhood ended. Times have changed and people grow up. Preferences have changed along with the flow of time. Animes which I would have watched several years ago I no longer find entertaining. I guess this is part of growing up?

As I am burdened by responsibilities in life, I can no longer feel the same enjoyment whilst I watch anime. Knowing the cruel reality that awaits after this brief moment of respite, is incredibly sad and makes me feel incredibly guilty. I am envious of those children and youngsters, ignorant of the cruel reality and responsibilities that await them in the future. Luckily, some of them will remain forever ignorant and can live in perpetual bliss. After all, humans only truly care about what makes them comfortable, not the truth.

I advise any who read this passage, to enjoy their time while they are still ignorant, for "Ignorance is Bliss".

How I started anime/A bit more about me

I only really started anime around mid 2012, the anime that really started all this was Chobits. Steins;Gate is my favourite anime up to date. I absolutely love the time travelling and thriller aspect of it. I've now watched and finished over 200 series and it's like a drug which I'm now addicted to. My favourite manga on the other hand is Akumetsu, a manga resembling Death Note in a sense. It is about a terrorist that had set out to purge the evil in Japan, but in doing so he does not succumb to that evil contrary to Light in Death Note. Without a doubt, I see him as my ideal hero, even if he is seen by the public as a terrorist. In the end, justice does not truly exist; it is but a concept created by mankind. Anime has truly changed me greatly, for better or worse, it has become an integral part of my life. I do not see myself separating from it.

As for the topic about me, I am a rather pitiful person. (And I am about to get philosophical.) From the age of 16 I slowly began to be disillusioned by this world; I never had any aspirations nor dreams to strive for. I have never held any religious beliefs and I somewhat dislike those that do; It is irrational to believe in the supernatural without scientific evidence, thus in my eyes, it seems as if those that hold such beliefs lack a fundamental part of being human; That which is logic and reasoning. I see humans are a blank slate, prone to indoctrination. Does an indoctrinated person have free will or only the illusion of free will? Does free will even exist? In my opinion, to truly have free will is to understand everything in the universe; what affects your behaviour and psychology, what is influencing your decision making etc. A person unaware of how their brain is making decisions has no more free will than a machine. In that sense, I can only see animals (including humans to a certain extent) as machines.

To me, humans are but slaves to their genetic information. Their sole purpose to propagate into the galaxy. I refuse to accept this. I shall choose a life of solitude. This futile act might be to show that I'm not just a machine built by evolution to propagate my species, that I can do the opposite of my intended purpose. Surely I'll die a lonesome death. But is this my free will? After all, does free will even exist? Regardless, I may win the battle but I lose the war. That is the inevitable outcome for the anomalies created by life. Such is evolution by natural selection; Those that cannot adapt to this society will not survive and will be purged by natural selection. Such is the sad and lonely fate that awaits people like me. As such, mankind will remain forever ignorant as evolution does not favour pure truth; it favours truth diluted by lies, just like how pure Oxygen is poisonous but it becomes breathable air when combined with 8 parts Nitrogen. As I ponder such philosophical topics, before I knew it, I have grown apathetic and nihilistic; disillusioned by this world...

If I had taken the blue pill, would things have been different? I might've been able to live in ignorant bliss.... However, I valued the truth; And so I swallowed the red pill instead and opened the door called truth. That was the moment my childhood ended, a time I could still faintly remember.

If anyone read this far, perhaps they would understand what a broken human I have become. If we spoke like robots, surely you would say something like "This unit is malfunctioning and is in need of repair". I do not know what compelled me to write this here. Perhaps it was to leave a record of and explain my existence. Regardless, you have wasted enough time, so return to reality.

About Arifureta: Does Hajime stay in a perpetual state of getting the short end of the stick? Does his situation improve? I feel upset when characters seem to get trolled (by life) too much in stories.

I once lost a remote in a black hole in a couch. Be very careful when searching for it. You might get pulled into an alternate world by accident like I was.

If you liked Chobits because of the cute characters and you generally like CLAMP anime you should try watching Kobato. I got to watch it on my brand new TV and I thought Kobato was amazingly awesome. I later gave that TV to my mom as a present so no more HD anime... uggg I used to watch music videos and anime on like 5 screens lol, it was really really fun

Thank you for the recommendation. I'm trying to build up a large manga reading list because all the ones I currently love are still publishing/translating leaving me constantly desperately waiting. If I had a really large reading list I could expect the

<rate of releases>=<my rate of reading>

then I could feed my raging addiction. I made a big list of hyperlinks so that I can constantly and efficiently check (sometimes multiple times a day) for new releases.
