Yuru Yuri

Aside from having the same staff and studio, both are an all-girl cast SoL/school comedy animes. These shows give off similar atmosphere and is hilarious. If you like Love Lab, you'd probably like Yuru Yuri and vice versa.

There's a strong sense of yuri vibes going in both series although it's mostly for comedy rather than anything to serious. More so though, Yuri Yuri and Love Lab both contain very humorous dialogues that are sometimes exaggerated and can be interpreted differently. 

The girls from both series also has their own sense of humor. There's also dirty jokes related to love while others related to life. There's also the school life setting that inspires fun tales of humor.

Artwork is somewhat similar, in the eyes. Bunch of girls hanging out, doing random, funny things. Some instances of "yuri" is hinted or shown in both shows.

YuruYuri and Love Lab just give the same atmosphere... there both very comical and refreshing, if you liked one you should watch the other one

only diffrence is that yuruyuri is more into Shoujo-ai than Love La, and i liked yuruyuri a bit more... but you should watch both :3

If you are looking for all girls cast with somewhat similar comedy, you can do much worse than these two. 

Main difference is the fact that one is Shoujo Ai (aka. Yuri) and other isn't...

Neither are really Yuri, and Love Lab does not really have a Yuri theme at all, but both share a similar cast of characters engaging in antics that really focus on the comedy.

Higher profile all-girls anime with some but not unacceptable lesbian tendencies (yes, there are MORE obviously lesbian shows out in the wild.)

A-channel is the serialized series in a less obvious girl-loves magazine Manga Time Kirara. One of my favorite magazine that also home to the even more prominent anime such as Hidamari Sketch and K-On!. The positioning of this magazine doesn't allow girl to blatantly kissing or making out, thus is pretty SFW. And A-channel is a stereotypical Manga Time Kirara's manga, and same goes in its anime adaptation. No overly lesbian action.

YuruYuri is serialized in Yuri Hime magazine. With more frank title, this magazine is openly yuri (lesbian) and kissing, making out, openly more-than-friend relationship is common in this magazine. But sex is still off limit as this magazine is no place for hentai. YuruYuri is an example of manga from this magazine. Openly homosexual, this is not a recommended reading in the religious part of the U.S., obviously. And the anime adaptation also fails to disappoint, as it is pretty much everything the manga was, plus considerably more fan service than you will ever bargain for. read more

Super moe school girl slice of life series! Between the silly sense of humour and ocassional antagonism amongst the supporting characters, there's a lot of points worth comparing. And while Yuru Yuri is a lot more overt about its girls love themes, Toru's attachment to Run can make you wonder at times!

Four main female characters doing cute things on a daily basis throughout their school year. No actual story, but it follows the relationships between the characters in wacky, slapstick, comedy segments. 

Yuru Yuri follows four middle school students who are in a club, and focuses more on Yuri. A-Channel follows four high school girls, and is less Yuri.

If you liked the pure-hearted comedy aspect of Nichijou, then you might like Yuru Yuri, they're similar in many aspects, though one thing to note is this anime is less slice of life and more comedy than Nichijou, I would argue that it is still equally as entertaining with its own sort of charm.

If you've watched Yuru Yuri and liked it, I'm going to go ahead and guess that's because Yuru Yuri is filled to the brim with comedy and adorable, small female characters, each one with a very distinct personality.

If I were to say that I could copy-paste what I just typed down and replace "Yuru Yuri" with "Non Non Biyori", I wouldn't be too far from the truth. Non Non Biyori features a smaller cast, has a more detailed art style and is set in a small, rural village instead of a school in the middle of a crowded city. But other than that, they're extraordinarily similar.

When I watched Yuru Yuri, it was my favourite all-in comedy anime. I saw a Non Non Biyori - Yuru Yuri recommendation here on MAL, so I checked it out. And Non Non Biyori completely knocked Yuru Yuri off its seat. The two shows have a lot in common, so if you liked Yuru Yuri, I can definitely advise you check out Non Non Biyori as well. It has a little less comedy-per-minute, but approximately twice the adorable-per-minute, so it'll be time well spent. read more

Besides both obviously falling into the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things genre both of the shows have a relaxing pace with well timed comedy and a likable cast of main and supporting characters.

It has a similar atmosphere as well, but Yuru Yuri moves towards comedy while Non-Non Biyori is more towards relaxing/feeling good.

The core of the show is similar, but Yuru Yuri moves towards the Yuri side.

Both are 1-cour, moeblob slice-of-life series. They have mostly female ensemble casts with a variety of characters; who are very easy to get attached to. Both Yuru Yuri and Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? are cute-girls-doing-cute-things comedies which are great for relaxing and dragging a laugh or two out of you - though Usagi's atmosphere is more relaxed than Yuru Yuri's.

Moe moe kyun kyun slice of life series presenting the daily activities of four young girls as they show heart-fluttering moments and form a wholesome bond with one another. 

Similar vibes, but with a different setting. Both are relaxing on so many levels and can somehow ease the pain if there happens to be one.

The characters from both anime are quite similar. 

Most of the anime is just the main cast doing random things (in an enjoyable way) 

Both anime features a one-sided crush within the cast (Sharo/Syaro to Rize and Chinatsu to YUI SENPAI!!!!) 

Similar atmosphere, good for days where you want to de-stress.

If you like the slice of life comedy + yuri combination, you will like both of them.
The setting is different though (Yuru Yuri has a tipical school setting, while Kanamemo is more focused on the life outside school - precisely at work), but the feel is definitely the same with a bunch of cute girls (mostly lesbians, of course) living their normal lifes filled with comedy, jokes and... well, yuri.

Cute girls, doing cute things, with funny moments that you will laugh most of the time. Though you will find some yuri scenes involving characters "playing around"  on each other and chibi scenes with their funny expressions. 

There is not much of a difference since it is a slice a life format and yuri, although Yuru Yuri involves in the school grounds with some funny moments. Kanamemoi involves a main character that is working on a job to help her financial needs.

Shoujo-ai series that doesn't focus on romance but instead focuses on its comedic aspects. The two are substantially similar; everything from its setting, background, premise and even the plot is highly similar on so many levels. As for my opinion, the humor in these series is not for everyone, if you have already watched either and you liked it, then I recommend you to watch the other.

It has the same nostalgic feeling, loli characters, and cute romantic comedy, in different ways. Yuruyuri is more about 4 girls, it has a bit of shoujo ai, comedy, slice of life and school life. Acchi kochi has those except for the shoujo ai. Kyouko reminds me alot of mayoi from acchi kochi.

They are similar due to their SOL and Comedy genre, both of them has a good artwork same with the animations, but Yuru Yuri has more Shoujo Ai vibes than Sansha Sanyou. 
Both of them are really interesting anime; it has a vibe that you will never get bored-vibe in some aspects. Both of them is really good. You will have a good time spending your time. Your time will not be wasted. 
It is worth watching.

Both are as similar as Facebook to Hi5, or Democrat to Republican.
The shows are brushed up with similar art-direction, almost pastel color choice, character design, pace, and genre.
The real example of style-parody. When someone say in easy English "the art is similar" this is what they mean, mostly because both shows share some staffs. Style-parody is not exactly a right word, they are officially sharing art-direction.

Genre similarity is also difficult to overlook. They are slice-of-life comedic show with heavy effort on showing the relationship of sub-character with the main cast (Minami family/ four main Yuruyuri girls.) 

The original manga presents them both as a circle, character who lead the show are in the middle of the circle, and are given more airtime. Each lead cast has their own friend/ acquaintances who are in the outer of circle. They interact with the lead cast and branch out the show's focuses into more than one group of friends. 

That's about every similarities that can be described in words. The differences are less tangible and lie in something beside visual. Yuruyuri is heavily lesbian, while Minami-ke give a fair share to male character, so we gotta admit this one big difference. The less worth mentioning difference are target audiences (which is already implied by the earlier statement)and original manga key genre (pure comedy vs shoujo-ai based). read more

The characters have the exact same personalities, with the same short height.
One difference about both of these series, is that Teekyuu is very short with 2 minutes that you get mindfuck, and entertained.

- Implications of yuri without ever forming official couples.

Differences:
- Yuru Yuri is more of an episodic comedy, while Hinako Note has somewhat of an ongoing storyline.
- Similarly to above, Hinako Note is specifically about acting, while Yuru Yuri is just about girls hanging out.

One of the main characters is a blond-haired, blue-eyed middle school girl who really likes a particular magical girl show whose main character has pink twin-tails to the point of vaguely implied shoujo-ai on the part of the fangirl. The plots of each series are completely different, but it's an odd enough similarity that I think it's worth mentioning.

Hilarious slice-of-life comedies about a club which exists solely for its members to slack off, as they take place in an all-girls academy there is heavy girls love undertones, albeit more heavy handed in Yuru Yuri. Both are incredibly high quality in comedic delivery and have similar character types, some of the best in the CGDCT genre and firmly stand tall among them.

Both of these slice of life anime are about a group of cute girls doing cute things. The jokes are similar and some characters share many things in common.

If you liked the characters SHAFT's Hidamari Sketch you should definitely check out Yuru Yuri and vise versa because the four main characters are basically the same regarding character traits and even character design for some parts. And as the characters and some small things are the only thing that differs between those Slice of Life shows I think a recommendation can be made because of the characters alone. Some noteworthy examples:

-The main heroine Akari (Yuru Yuri) and Yuno (Hidamari Sketch) are both the shy, cute and quiet ones of the cast. Also both have things in their hair on both the left and right side. For Yuno it is her two "crosses" and for Akarin it is her tied hair. Both are moved kinda in the background during conversations and such.

-Kyouko (Yuru Yuri) and Miyako (Hidamari Sketch) both have blonde hair and are both hyperactive and have the most comedic parts in their respective shows. They are both kinda reckless and quirky at first but in the end deeply care about their friends and are really loveable.

-Then we have Yui (Yuru Yuri) and Sae (Hidamari Sketch). Both are the maturest ones of the cast, both have blue hair and overall act pretty much the same.

-And last but not least we have Chinatsu and Hiro. Both are more or less indicated to be Yui/Sae's "lover", both have similar hair styles and Yui Chinatsu reminded me a lot of Hiro with how she interacts with the others though she's not quite as mature as Hiro.

All in all I think Yuru Yuri (Anime published in 2010, Manga in 2008) took a great peek at Hidamari Sketch (Anime published in 2007, Manga in 2004) while creating their characters and if you loved the characters in Yuru Yuri you will surely love them in Hidamari Sketch as well and vise versa. But Hidamari Sketch has far less Yuri moments compared to Yuru Yuri. read more

The main characters Tooru and Kyouko have a really similar... aura?  ^^'  Like, their crazy straightforward personalities, and their silly over-the-top actions, and the poses they make, and the way they talk, right down to their overflowing love for one of the other female characters, and the way they express it.  It was killing me while I was trying to figure out who Tooru reminded me of, until I finally remembered Kyouko and everything clicked into place.  

Both of the shows are also really enjoyable slice-of-life/comedy animes that make the most of their really interesting and diverse groups of characters, and are very shoujo ai.  Good shows, watch 'em both. read more

Himouto! Umaru-chan and Yuru Yuri showcases their strong points with the large serving of 'genki girl'; as Umaru-chan and Toshinou Kyouko does have their 'genki' similarities on being otakus, filled with events that fills each episode with silly nonsense, comedy and antics.

If you're a fan of otaku-ness and daily dose of CGDCT moeness, these two shows are for you.

This show was basically Azumanga, but with less variety in jokes, and more lesbians. This is not necessarily a bad thing, because I loved Azumanga, and greatly enjoyed this show, as well. If you like gag comedies about cute girls, this show is probably up your alley.

Disregarding supernatural force in Nyaruko-san, they both are pretty much moe-overloaded comedy.

Looking for anything that lacks a lead male with actual facial features? YuruYuri is a better choice for you here. All lesbian high school probably with aphrodisiac in all the cast's meals. The rate is not 18+ but if you are not those people who took anime for the love of life but know only Naruto and Dragon Ball, your imagination can probably crank it up a few gears. Yuruyuri is, after all, a moe comedy you see popping up a lot from Japan over the last decade. It's imagination inducing, fap inducing, or any other word you would use to describe anime that make doujin artists want to draw the characters naked.

Please note that both feature plenty of horny girls trying to get into someone pants/skirts. You like those humor below the belt? You sure will enjoy both, with Nyaruko-san being a little more awesome.

That's right, Nyaruko-san feature cute girls as well, but they are more expressive about sexy time and are not bound by social norms. The graphic may be as safe as Yuruyuri but for the script Nyaruko-san is straight out of playboy sexual life discussion corner, with a little degrading to make it not adult-only of course.

Both of these have batshit insane comedy that makes the other shows in their respective genres seem tame by comparison in terms of humor and weirdness. Both of them have plenty of characters that are lovably idiotic as well. KonoSuba and Yuru Yuri are a blast to watch when you want to laugh and have some light-hearted but insane fun.

Yuru Yuri and Konobi (abbrv) are gag animes that focus on comedic happenings in their club. 

Additionally, both have similar characters that secretly admires one of the main characters (Toshino Kyouko of Yuru Yuri and Uchimaki Subaru of Konobi) Their cute attempts to get closer to their crushes will make you root for them unconsciously.
