In both series the main male character has some kind of "illness" than one of the female main characters promises to cure. In both series the main male character is being kicked and hit all the time.

both contain a male character that finds out their secret both about girls who are working in secrecy so classmates don't find out their true identity

These show have almost the exact same story line. The only difference is that the main character is male intstead of female and it the bulter not the master that is crossdressing.

Both contains main characters who are afraid of opposite gender (Gynophobia from Mayo Chiki! and Androphobia from Working!!) and working with opposite sex in order to 'cure' it. Both also contains romance and comedy aspects. Both have male lead who were beaten quite a lot. And of course both wears glasses. But, there are more ecchi theme on Mayo Chiki! though.

Both series are about a butler who desires to protect their masters no matter what trouble he/she shall face. Both have a very slice-of-life feel but gradually develops the storyline at a good pace at the same time. The master of the two series share multiple similarities too, both being extremely rich and having some sort of disorder (Nagi being a NEET and Kanade a pervert) The two shows also have misfortunate butlers getting into amusing situations that are a pleasure to watch.

Has a similar feel to it. The harem theme is the same. Also the main character both have unusual disease(?) The guy is allergic to cats like how jirou is allergic to girls(?). They both have love/comedy too.

I'm surprised know one recommended this one. Two ordinary guys find out the secret of a high class family and eventually become friends with the girl and her maids or butler. Both shows has loads of comedy and humor.

Similarities: Both involve guys who want to avoid romance. Both involve girls coming into guys' lives. Both have the same school, comedy, harem, and romance genres. Dissimilarities: Guy in one anime is gynophobic, while guy in the other anime he is simply too busy for romance. Guy in one anime is a very good student while guy in the other anime he is just an average student. The guy in one anime is centered around one girl, while the other guy in the other anime has all his harem members competing for his affection.

Blue haired character helping orange haired character, orange haired character helping blue haired character. Characters share a similar sort of 'love-hate' relationship.

Both shows have a harem style plot (or lack thereof) and have girls pretending to be butlers. There is also a similarity between Saikyou Tomomi and Kanade Suzutsuki in that they are both "S" type character who are out to ruin the protagonist's day. Though the comedies differ in setting and character backgrounds, the style are somewhat similar.

These anime's feature fairly pleasant males who are regularly misstreated by close females and have thus developed an 'allergy' to girls. Unfortunately; they have no choice but to be around females. Both are loaded with ecchi related missundersandings were a girl has more-or-less, indirectly set-up a scene to make the male to witness her exposed, only for him to then get attacked for being a pervert. Mayo' epsiode one even re-cycled a Girl's Bravo scene (also episode one); girl calls guy a pervert and punches him after he walks in on her in the bathroom - dispite the fact that she's in his house, using his bathroom  read more

When watching fate.stay night I had this jarring feeling of deja-vu, everytime I heard "shirou" I wondered where did I hear that before? Why do these characters look so familiar. Mayo Chiki and fate/stay night have almost the exact same character types, character relations and interactions, heck the names even sound the same. If you enjoyed Mayo Chiki and want a better plot, watch fate. If you enjoyed Fate and want some nonsense unrelated to the nasuverse, pick up mayochiki

Except from the Mayo Chiki Cameo there are a few more similarities Harem, Similar Character Types, a Guy to help Girls, Comedy and School

Subaru acts like a guy at school as well as Charlotte and they both get there secretes found out in a very ecchi way XD. also that they are both comical in the begging

both are base on romance.. mayo chiki, opinion is better both the main women character are stronger both the main man character try to support the one they love in someone different ways
report Recommended by pakin
They are both about the unlikely relationship between two people who cannot stand each other at first. The artwork is very similar, and the female main characters also look alike.
report Recommended by astro-kun
Romantic-comedy-harem with very little plot. Extremely similar character designs and art (notably, Anastasia and Usami, Gin and Subaru). Kitamura Eri. Both look very good and deliver nicely on fanservice and relatively lowbrow comedy.
report Recommended by ataraxial
Both series features a protagonist who gets involved with other characters in the series of conflicting personalities. Two of the main female protagonist in the both series have similar personalities in that they are dominant and in control of most situations as well as being quite mischievous. Both series have fan-service mixed in with comedy, drama, and a little romance later on.

These two are very different in concept, but they both have an extremely similar humor, centered around absurd scenarios, ecchi comedy, and character traits and personalities. They also share the theme of being largely school-based, but having many scenes that take place outside of school, as well. The male leads of both are quite different, but similar in the sense that they are misunderstood and strive to be normal, while being surrounded by strange females, who they feel the need to protect. Not to mention, both male protagonists have odd and overbearing little sisters with strong attachments to their brothers.

In both those school love comedies, there is a very special relation between the two protagonists (Ryuuji/Taiga and Jirou/Konoe), with ups and downs, but evident. Also Ami and Kanade (both played by Kitamura Eri) are very similar characters.

Similarities: - Male main character keeping secret for female lead - Relationship between the two keeping the secret - Male lead has a 'weakness' [Gynophobia vs. Inability to keep secrets] - Romantic comedy Differences: - Jitsu wa is fantasy/supernatural whereas mayo chiki isn't - Mc is keeping secret willingly in Jitsu wa

Oregairu and MayoChiki are both romcoms that have weird guy-girl relationships. The plot flow goes without saying is also alike, The guy has trouble socializing with girls due to some trauma, so the girl offers to help him cure this.

In NHK ni Youkoso the main charcter is Satou Tatsuhiro, who is being helped to recover from a hikikomori lifestyle. In Mayo Chiki the main character is Kinjiro Sakamachi who people are trying to help his gynophobia (fear of women)...in other words both protagonists are getting help for some sort of disorder/disease.
report Recommended by MTNFrostAngel15
Both comedies about a relationship between master and butler, where butler is always trying to protect his master. While Mayo Chiki is more romantic, Kuroshitsuji has more action.
report Recommended by abystoma2
In both anime, the main character is somehow allergic to the female protagonist, in Mayo's case a nosebleed when in contact with girls, in Omamori's case the main character is allergic to cats( Guess what creature the main female character can turn into) They are both Ecchi, comedy, romance, harem and rated R+ Basically, they are very similar, but they are AVERAGE in my opinion. Mayo chiki is more school oriented, while Omamori himari is more supernatural oriented.
report Recommended by 323kiki
Both are very ecchi animes. Both animes have a main character who can't stand sexual situations or imagery.
report Recommended by Kragic
Both protagonists have a fear of women due to their abuse from violent female family members. Their only cure of course is harem antics.
report Recommended by NeoRinTinTin
I find these shows not that similar by plot, but by the characters. Well except the dude in Kotoura-san. (He's a total pervert). Either way Konoe and Kotoura seem to be very similar, they are the quiet and sensitive type. Also there is comedy. In the show Kotoura seems to be very lonely, because of her ability to read minds and in Mayo Chiki! Konoe dresses like a man and in my opinion is just left alone because no one actualy tries to be friends with her. If you liked Kotoura-san, you have to watch Mayo Chiki!

Both are easy to digest and have similar humor which I really appreciate

For reasons of fate, they gathered them together: A girl / boy who is afraid of being with a person of the opposite sex who dresses as if he were of the same sex. Both will get to know each other, discovering and gradually eliminating their weaknesses, insecurities that prevent them from being together.

Main protagonists are ordinary school students. One day they suddenly meet cute girl and get involved with her (in Mayo Chiki! they share secret and in Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou their live in same house). At first they are not getting along, girls don't like main protagonists. But in time they experience a lot of unexpected events and their relationship are developing and they falling in love in with each other. So you like comedy-romance Anime about high schoolers with a lot comedy when their relationship are developing, I strongly recommend this Anime,

For those who prefer a Harem but simple and ther wasn't so much conflit ,this is what you want to watch, if you search for a slice of life this also a nice anime and it's was very fun to watch, but there is the big different , it's art of anime is good but Sora No Otoshimono was not very nice.

Ecchi series. The protagonist has to pretend to be the opposite sex. It also has to live with a person of the opposite sex.
report Recommended by OtakuNote87
Both of these shows revolve around the interesting relationship between the main characters. In Mayo Chiki, the main character stumbles across a secret and gets tied up into the schemes of his sadistic classmate (though that is only the bare bones spoiler free plot summary). On the other hand, Ookami Shoujo also has the sadistic type character in a commanding position over a girl who shares a harmful secret (for her) with him. -Both are about relationships born from shared secrets -Both have the sadistic type character -Both share at least some element of romance -Both maintain a comedic and light atmosphere -Both are about high school relationships
report Recommended by remorath
they have a very similar concept at the start of being a little sexy and then later becomes very serious
report Recommended by Savant_Vagabond
Both about a physically resilient main character, dealing with various girls with somewhat typical anime personalities. Both anime don't really take themselves too seriously, and this makes them easy to watch, and very enjoyable, just don't expect a story that makes complete sense. Plenty of laughs to be had indeed...

Both are about the main character pretending to be the opposite gender to keep a job as a butler.

Similarities: Both genres involves school, shuojo, romance and harem. Both involves chiquitas who came into the muchacho's life and started messing with it. Both chiquitas are superior than the muchacho. Both involves another chiquita who is a tease. Both muchachos always had their asses kicked by the chiquita. And both muchachos have to watch-out in getting on the chiquita's bad side. Dissimilarities: In HA the muchacho was compelled to enter into a partnership with the chiquita co'z the chiquita's constant pestering, while in MC the muchacho is force to accept the chiquita in his life because he discovered her secret and if he doesn't kept his trap shut, it will cost him his life. Well! Full Metal Panic and Mayo Chiki aren't too too similar but if you like the fact that someone will do anything to protect another person than this is another good anime for you! On one hand we have a military guy doing the extreme to protect a girl. On the other hand we have a cross dressing butler that will do anything to please and protect their master. Both have fighting but Mayo Chiki is more for the perverted mind and Full Metal Panic is more for the fighting/funny type.

Same male lead and he is abused by other woman physically and mentally. Both.were ordinary guys till one event changed everything.

Protective, strong-willed, fairly sensible, understated girls take on the role of 'boys', harbouring these stated traits. It's fair to say these girls are taken seriously and respected as boys, more so then they would as girls with the above traits; they come across as sensible and nobel, in favour of icequeens. The leading females have both had a hard time in the past and both are egar to protect a 'lady'. Both 'serving' females have their fangirls. Mayo Chiki! is a comedy based series; the type of typical 21st century comedy we're use to seeing, involving; violent girls, victum guy and unessessary fanservice, whilst classic anime Revolutionary Girl Utena  read more

Both about a male character who sucks with girls, who eventually gets surrounded by lots of females and becomes a harem. The same type of vibe anime, light-hearted, warm, harem, school life funny anime.

Watching Chun2byou now, I couldn't help but get the same feeling I got from watching Mayo Chiki! Both of these animes have the MC taking care of a girl in their class with some sort of problem. Chaos, misunderstandings and insane hilarity ensues. If you liked one, you will certainly like the other.

Kirihime and Kanade share many interesting qualities such as their wealth, their clever comebacks, their level-headness, and even their penchant for sadistic, although not really mean-spirited, encounters. If you think someone like Kanade from Mayo Chiki would make an interesting female lead, then check out Inuhasa. Likewise, if you can't get enough of Kirihime, then you should give Mayo Chiki a try.

Both shows have the common theme of service in them(Butlers and Body guards). Both are romantic comedies where the Charcthers have a secret they must keep hidden. Both are romantic comedies where the Charcthers have a secret they must keep hidden. Both female masters act kind of the same where they are rude on the outside but secretly a nice person, and both are rich. But in Mayo Chiki the story focuses on someone who finds out the secret and is much more of a comdey while I Inu x Boku the story focuses on they master and we body guard and has more romance.

Minami-ke and Mayo Chiki positively express both comedy and relationships. These anime share very similar genres and energetic characters. Along with that, they are both fairly light-hearted comedies with more emphasise on comedy.

The female leads start off a bit cold but have unbelievably cute dere sides.

The male lead gets beaten up quite a bit, the female lead is a tsundere, and the art style in both shows is very colorful and moe.

The male lead, Mamoru in Kage kara Mamoru has a secret, same as the main female, Subaru in Mayo Chiki. The male leads in both shows, Mamoru and Kinjirou are also surrounded by females, in a harem. Both anime are comedy, romance and school.
