That too. So I guess the correct timeline is BEWD > Gaia > Ancient Gear > Melodious > Galaxy-Eyes > Superheavy Samurai > Elemental Heroes > Timelords. From my understanding of how the archetypes and the summoning mechanics work in general I was generally against Synchro and Xyz since Fusion (ie. Red-Eyes Fusion) can come in clutch but laying down materials was kind of risky so I didn't want to use those two (and later Links) because I was not used to how each individual archetype works. So, looking for the easy way out I guess that's what led me to timelords which

SS would have to be the only Synchro deck I've used in PVP that's competitive enough but ofc I have used others before: Junk, Resonators, T.G., Dragunity, Speedroids, etc.

I used to use this a lot for summoning stuff like Aqua Spirit or just any of the old cards that work like that. It also helps in using Monster Reborn or Call of the Haunted to special summon from the grave instead of tributing

One of my coworkers recently downloaded MD and saw me playing DL at work, he thought it was the same and I was really having a hard time explaining how it is to him. He's a Yugiboomer who recently just picked it up after collecting some fake cards in the 2000s. I want to enjoy stuff with him without showing the part of me that has been corrupted by the modern playstyle lmao. Do you remember the time I showed you a video of me playing PvP with someone who was using a Necrofear deck? I was using a Valkyrie deck and I specifically chose this for two reasons

1.) Want to enjoy the game without using op stuff like Galaxy or Timelords
2.) Want to extend the game with back and forths, and also have a chance to lose since I considered that Valkyrie deck to be B-tier (amongst everything I own)

But the thing is, after Erda is special summoned, the opp is kinda fucked unless they can get rid of her, which his deck couldn't. His was generally still attack based and relied of ye olde special summon without using today's underhanded tactics like repetitive burns or banishing

Having those stipulations would be nice, but when a new deck / event happens here it's just promotion. Unless you have major nerfs like what I just said with Galaxy-Eyes, you only get fomo, as they discourage your deck but ofc that it's stopping anyone. I literally saw someone use an E-Hero deck before on a 5D's event that heavily promotes Synchros. And when I saw someone using Meklords, well they were just getting desperate

I was just minding my business the other day and a thought came to mind. I realized they could do to the three God cards what they recently did to exodia. Have support cards that can be treated as Divine when they are on the field so that other cards can experience being divine. A field spell that adds a God card. A continuous spell / effect monster that makes an additional normal summon. A continuous spell / effect monster that deals with the requirement of three tributes. Or just like the Ra support card, special summon the fucking gods regardless, then slap the field with Horakthy. And in addition, add a Divine Attribute Exodia, a Divine Attribute Neos (since there is one, albeit only in name) or remaster the gods themselves with new support cards just like with Volcanic. We could use 7 new divine monsters

If they really want to blow up they should make stuff like this so tribute summoning is respected again, although I guess they technically did that through Flowandereeze, Magikey, Constellar and the entire Rush Genre. speaking of Rush I got the divine archetype / tribute summoning idea from this Rush Duel archetype

Each of my pvp decks have had their glory days tbh. I started with BEWD and was bullying players with Neo Ultimates effect then essentially the same with trap immunity / piercing with Ancient Gear. Same with Gaia and Magical Knight's effect destruction ability was pretty handy. However I later became defensive with Melodious by generally relying on Bloom Diva but I also used Bloom Prima sometimes. Later I transitioned to Galaxy Eyes and was reliant on "Photon Stream of Destruction" so I had to ensure I always had the og dragon on the field. Then I got even more defensive with Timelords and floodgates. I am considering using Orcust next but I don't have enough confidence on that one yet. I won some duels using Amazoness and considered switching to it until I got a losing streak, which made me go back to Timelords.

Technically they are. Combos run real hard when supported by skills. And it gets really hilarious when stopped

Speaking of Tokens, Mecha Phantom is in DL. I should give that a try. I've recently built a Reptilliane deck and it has this on it. This, This and this are some of their best cards.

LMAO I think it's because the skill got my LP at 9000 and he figured he'd deck out eventually. I wanna say Jet Dragon should be added to DL but Kaiba DSOD already has three powerful skills related to that archetype. And frankly I've had enough seeing the white lizard and I wanna try out new archetypes for once. Back then when I was new to DL I had many BEWD decks and Pendulum decks and barely used Ritual Summoning. Now my DL stats says that the number of times I've used Pends are now even less than Rituals lol

I guess it depends. One can always use a DL Meta deck then play as Yubel. But if you mean following the decks her skills work best, then ofc no. Yubel's E Hero deck, which is the most recent, only has Super Poly to scare me but I now have Celestial Transformation to allow me to instantly sub a new timelord in case one gets sent back to my hand, kaiju'd or banished

Most DL stuff is only meta because of the floodgates tbh. If World Legacy's Secret and stuff that works like it (Book of Moon) weren't there I'd easily be on the top. Heck I even lose to Tenyi sometimes even though I played the living hell out of one of them before:

There's actually this thing called Legacy Duels in Yugioh. Relies mainly on Normal/Tribute Summoning and old but beefy yugioh spells like Tribute to the Doomed or Dark Hole. Funny because that's kind of what Rush Duels does right now

The way you described Libromancer kind of reminds me of the Armaggedon Archetype, they have a continuous trap and a quick-play spell that can ritual summon during the battle phase

Yeah, Metalfoes does that. Their Fusion card as well as one of their monsters literally do that. I haven't really had a good Madolche deck but I guess I should get to it someday. Mirrorjade isn't on DL yet sadly

Technically, yes. It's not a guarantee but there are bundles where you can pay for a number of packs + a special card or rarity and obviously it runs down the cards on sale getting you more chances to get the cards you want

There's generic skills which, when unlocked can be used by any character at any level, and specific skills which are set for certain characters, there's even more specific skills that works only with one character that uses only 1 archetype. There's about 15 characters available in the first three worlds; DM, GX and 5D's. DSOD, Zexal, Arc-V, Vrains and Sevens each has about 5-6 characters. Each character for DM and GX can own 5 decks max, and 4 each for the rest. So I have many slots available for each character, as shown in the ones I've been sending you before.

The rumours say that Go Rush characters might be added later this year, and I am assuming that's also going to happen in September 28. This trend started in 2022 when they introduced the Vrains World and Link Summoning to the game. Last year it was the Sevens World and Rush Duel. Maximum Summoning in Rush Duel was recently introduced too.

The limit applies to what I have just stated BUT with money you can buy additional deck slots for any character of your choice. Because Konami

Technically that also applies to Normal Monsters. Blue-Eyes White Dragon, for example is the strongest Normal Monster. There's no other (Normal) Monster whose base ATK is higher than 3000. This rule also applies to Sevens / Rush Duel. And its iconic Fusion Monster, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon also enjoys this privilege. There's no (Non-Effect) Fusion Monster that has a base ATK higher than 4500. Master of Oz comes close, but no.

And this 3000 / 2500 dynamic is supposed to be equal power between BEWD owned by Kaiba which was technically supposed to be Yugi's card and BLS, owned by Yugi, hence the dynamic in Dragon Master Knight supposedly being the ultimate monster. What's funny is DMK is a dragon type, while the Rush Duel counterpart, Sevensgias the Magical Knight, is a "Magical Knight" type. Rush Duel Fusion Monsters come with types of their own.

This started with Cyborg types, which is an amalgamation of anything fused with a Machine-type monster and later High Dragon, Celestial Warrior, Omega Psychic, and Magical Knight evolving from Dragon, Warrior, Psychic and Spellcaster-type monsters used by the main characters. Go Rush later adds another new type to the game, "Galaxy-types". Which to me looks like they're related to the Galaxy / Photon Archetype, or they're Cyberse. Although the Maximum monster on the above deck, Yggdrago the Sky Emperor (Yggdrago the Heavenly Dragon Tree) is Cyberse albeit looking like a plant type

And the main characters using 2500 ace monsters is probably referring to the MCs being underdogs. BEWD's counterpart in Rush Duel though, Multistrike Dragon Dragias (Rush Dragon Dragias) has 2500 and so does the other ace. Sevens' MCs ace card. Sevens Road Magician has 2100 ATK and for a while I thought that was the new trend until Galactica Oblivion, the ace in Go Rush (who is a Firewall Dragon / Stardust Dragon ripoff probs) has 2500 ATK

Takane and a few main characters always show up in idolmaster doujins lol, so I will never forget them. People like that Madoka girl from the same show for some reason. But to be fair her doujins are hot. Her counterpart in Love Live I think is Kanan Matsuura or Mari Ohara who has the most doujins, speaking from memory

I found one video of myself using U.A. So the way that it works is basically revolving around the cards U.A. Midfielder and U.A. Stadium. They can be special summoned from the hand which I guess references sports teamwork. Gouki is based on wrestling and when their main deck cards add more cards when sent to the graveyard can be referenced as tagging a teammate I guess. F.A.'s cards look like they're U.A. on motorcycles. An archetype of a card game with an anime about playing on motorcycles featuring characters riding on motorcycles? Nah lol. It's racecars and monster trucks. Although I think there's some motorcycles in there

F.A.'s playstyle, as stated by the Wiki, works like Fortune Lady, although I personally prefer this since every time I try to play Fortune Lady it flops for some reason. Just couldn't get the hang of that method I guess. I guess you can call me an old man who usually speedruns material either to get a ED or Main Deck beatstick. F.A. with one of their field spells adding a level during the battle phase and with each defeated monster are the best cards to me

Isn't that the same case with School Days? I read some in their wiki and it turns out there's barely enough bad endings to balance out every possible good ending with one girl, and there's even a Harem ending lol. So much sex scenes and edgy stuff though. Wish more characters made it to the anime lol

That's very true lol. They literally have ratings and terms like "subfive" because everything there is superficial. My heart broke when I read somewhere in the forums that some guy was being casual about calling himself that while jokingly despairing about being alone

I guess so. I don't mind it being voiced since faint gasps may be realistic but cannot keep the viewer hooked, unless it's neatly animated...I think? Of course the overblown unrealistic lines has to go.
