My Love Letter to Evangelion:

It Begins: I remember it to be rainy night, in 2014. Death Note impressed me immensely but Berserk and Oyasumi PunPun failed to reach my expectations, I found the violence and excess sadness unimportant. That night, I booted up my crusty PC to surf through some anime. One caught my eye. "Neon Genesis Evangelion". I always loved Science Fiction so I checked it out. I was quite... intrigued by the beginning few episodes so I stuck by. And I still dont know if that was a good choice or a bad choice. I probably wont even have made this account if ...

This will be my first-ever review, mainly because of all the negative reviews written on this show after only three episodes have been released yet. The main reasons why people don't enjoy Mushoku Tensei are apparently because of the 'weak plot' and the 'Rudeus is an adult, this is so weird!!' comments.

- may contain small spoilers from episodes 1-3 of S2 C2 -

I haven't read the manga, but I definitely think that there's a plot; a good plot. I understand that there's not that much action at the moment, but that doesn't bother me at all. The wedding with Sylphie, helping Nanahoshi, and characters ...

"One Piece" is hands down one of the best anime series out there. It's got everything you could ask for in an adventure story—memorable characters, a captivating world, and a plot that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

The story follows Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they sail the seas in search of the legendary One Piece treasure. What starts as a quest for riches evolves into an incredible journey filled with twists, turns, and epic battles. The world of "One Piece" is incredibly detailed, with diverse islands, intriguing cultures, and a history that unfolds gradually, keeping you ...

In a world teeming with fantasy stories, Sousou no Freiren proves to be a shining jewel that exceeds all expectations with its captivating storytelling and breathtaking animation. I was completely mindblown from the first episode to the last.

At its core, Sousou no Freiren shows a variaty of human emotions and existential dilemmas, weaving a story that effortlessly balances heart-wrenching drama, amazing action and profound philosophical introspection. Each character is carefully created and gifted with depth and complexity that resonates on a profound level, making them feel not just like fictional charcters, but rather like trusted companions on an extraordinary journey.

KONOSUBA IS BACK, BABY! It's been a whole seven years since it was last on the air, and that feels criminal. But finally, it's back, and what can I say except that it's great to see it return!

To be honest, I don't need to say much here. Just sit down and watch it. The series still hits the same, and the comedic gags are still gold.

The animation remains consistent, as they've kept the same director throughout.

And the characters? They're some of the most memorable in all of isekai. I can still recall the names of villains from previous seasons—that's how much of an impression they ...

The anime looks cute but that's all.
In general, this is almost the same as the anime of overpowered men surrounded by women.

I'm not even sure this is an Isekai anime.
Let me explain, in this anime we are introduced to the main character who is said to come from a fantasy world. Then he was called by the kingdom as a potential hero. But then the royal looked very stupid by just throwing away the main character and even trying to kill him.
Then the main character discovers he has the Infinity statistic (even though he is too stupid to know what it means), and this stupidity ...

Disclaimer first, if you fall into the categories below, I emphasize to you not to watch this anime.
Because you won't get the anime you want.
1. You are looking for a fantasy anime with action scattered all over the place all the time.
2. You are a person who likes mystery and psychological anime.
3. You are bored with generic fantasy stories.
4. You want an epic life story journey.

I say that this anime deserves to be ranked first in 2023 and 2024 early. Not because the anime surpasses all existing anime, but because the anime provides a standard taste for the genre where most fantasy anime in this ...

100% RECOMMENDED

Very rarely do you see fantasy anime like this one, how well the story is put together with how well written the characters are makes it very enjoyable and the chapters go by very quickly, this remake is far surpassing its original version that Despite being an incomplete product, it is still great.

The prologue took me by surprise and was a unique addition that puts new fans who want to see the anime in context and fills old fans who were waiting for the return of Holo and Lawrence with nostalgia.

I think that the OST also surpasses the previous one, Mr. Kevin Penkin has ...

This is the absolutely worst kind of anime. I'll try to break down what a piece of garbage this is, as best I can, without spoilers.

First, and most importantly, the ENTIRE premise of the show makes absolutely no sense. I'm not talking about the whole reincarnation issekai thing, I mean the motivations of the MC. The TL;DR of the plot is the MC is living a game she previously played and is now the antagonist in that game. The original antagonist and protagonist in the game had some sort of premonition power but now the MC just has her knowledge from having played the game. ...

In the realm of aspiring YouTubers, where fame and fortune beckon with the allure of stardom, one might find themselves traversing the precarious path between comedy and calamity.

Enter Kenka Dokugaku, a riveting tale that delves deep into the trials and tribulations of our protagonist—a hapless individual plagued by social ineptitude, familial strife, and the merciless taunts of bullies. It's a familiar tale of adversity, tinged with just the right amount of comedic misfortune.

But fear not, our protagonist's fortunes take a fortuitous turn when a chance altercation is inadvertently captured on film, thrusting him into the unlikeliest of careers: professional fisticuffs! Yes, you heard that right—our ...

Personally I feel isekai has caused the current generation to lose more iq than sniffing glue. Since it became nothing more than a cheap hook followed by mediocre followups with a lack of proper storytelling and buildup. I also feel isekai has effectively cockblocked the ln medium and audiences from other shows.

I first want to mention I have nothing against edgy and dirty humor. In fact I do think it makes a show stand out.

Konosuba started off great. Our main hero eventually meets the girls Aqua, Megumin, Darkness one by one. They all feel unique and it becomes a joy to spend time with ...

The first impression of this anime is that it looks like Aladdin, maybe that's why in the ending song this anime combines a style like Aladdin, and I quite like the song.

At first I tried to enjoy this anime, even though I didn't really hope that this anime would present a good performance, especially seeing the score which was getting lower and lower.

And it turns out my guess was right, this anime doesn't have perfect charm, especially in the story part.
This anime tells the story of school children, right? But I only saw them studying occasionally and in the next episode the school lessons started ...

After watching the first 3 episodes of "Mysterious Disappearances," I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging it turned out to be. I initially started watching it for some casual enjoyment, but now I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds. The plot grabbed my attention right from the start, and I'm excited to see where it goes.

One thing that really stood out to me was the quality of the animation and the art style. Both are surprisingly good and add a lot to the overall atmosphere of the show. And can we talk about the ending theme song? It's fantastic—it's been stuck in ...

Everything comes back to individual tastes, so before you watch anime, please note that you like anime with MC OP and Harem.

In my opinion, this anime is not much different from other anime I have watched, especially Isekai themed anime, where the MC enters another world, be it a game or something similar.
However, there are several points that I think this anime is worth watching.

Firstly, this anime has a quite interesting storyline, it's not too boring to watch, maybe I didn't really like the ending.

Second, this anime has good character designs, everything is detailed and has effects that are considered perfect.

These three anime have good ...

Only 3 episodes out at the time of writing, so is this really enough to judge this season so far?

YES!!!

Konosuba is more than an anime. More than an Isekai. More than a story, or a work of fiction. It is, simply put, a masterpiece. It is more than all these things. It is a life lesson. It is a grand metaphor on life itself! It teaches you to never take life seriously, and to always see the bright sides of things! Sometimes in life, you don't need a grand story, full of crazy twists and turns, or a story of grand proportion. You need a ...

A good series for sure.
The story seems to be unique
Certain things weren’t predictable
the setup like how everything was moving forward in terms of the plot art style was fitting for the story
Characters are well rounded and have flaws which they overcome
Realistic reactions from the characters
I think you will enjoy and understand this once you go past 15 episodes

**
Believe that this series didn’t get any attention for some weird reason. But it deserves a chance. Watch whole series yourself to come to a conclusion. I find it interesting perhaps I’ll rewatch it sometime soon

I absolutely hate "Ga-ga-piiii!". I want Lulu to burn in hell and have her eyes gauged out for all eternity, while muted with duct tape so that she can't scream like an idiot. Because there's a lot of it here, especially during the first 5 or so episodes.

Just shut up already, you're annoying as f*ck >_>

Other than that, it's not too bad, even quite funny at times - until Lulu shows up with a "Ga-ga-piiii!", which makes me wanna throw my headphones at the screen.
It definitely turned out to be more interesting and enjoyable than the first episode's first half. Quite happy with what it's ...

I recently finished the anime and I must say that I found it very beautiful, I really liked the characterization of the characters and the dubbing was also done very well.

The flaw they say are the filler episodes and I agree but personally I found some sagas of filler episodes very beautiful for example the saga of the alternative history of the Zanpackutō and the Saga of the invading army of the Thirteen Brigades.

I found the characters very interesting starting from the protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki who seems cold and detached and who likes to get into fights, but in reality he is good and is ...

Yugioh season 0 is a wonderful anime to watch even if you never cared about the modern card games. Season 0 is a fun pace show with various degrees of engagement that will quench that thirst of wanting something interesting to watch.

The main cast is very lovable, and the situations that unfold around them are just as interesting in this anime depicting the contrast of good and evil ethics.

By using an element of a game, this show is able to tackle the two together in a surprisingly good philosophical digest, food for thought.

Season 0, by itself, is a fun 20+ series where you often see ...

I know a lot of anime movies dont have anything to do with the anime itself and a lot arent even cannon, but this movie is so fucking boring and lame i genenly had to watch it 3 times because i kept falling asleep, and even when I finally finished it I was so confused, it had literally ZERO correlation to the show, most anime movies that dont have anything to do with the original anime at least make sense, but at the end all i could think was “so why did they add this new headset bullshit just for this movie???” The only good ...

Hells Paradise (Jigokuraku) is a member of the "Dark Trio" Of Shounen anime, adapted from the manga of the same name started in 2018.

Hells paradise is my personal favourite of the "Dark Trio" Even after very much enjoying chainsaw man and not really enjoying Jiujutsu Kaisen. Jigokuraku has more emotion, Better action and the best cast of the trio.

Art- 10/10 The animation/ Character models in this anime are beautiful, every character is recognizable, the only complaint i have is that there is some similarities to the character models in Dororo which are also really amazing, so it isn't a complain just something i noticed. The ...

It took me 3 weeks to finish this anime. To be honest, the begging was a little boring, but it starts to be good after the fourth episode.

Well, first of aff, I think that the supernatural powers could be better explained. At least for me, it was confusing to understand how they worked. I didn't read the manga, but it gets very clear for me how it was rushed. I wish it could had more episodes. The anime isn't focus on romance, but you know that a relationship exists between the principal characters, it's obvious that they don't see each other like just friends. ...

Let's think back to all of the anime we've gone through before. We have watched anime that had incredible fantasy storytelling right from the beginning. We have watched anime that had a strong thematic approach with the following isekai genre. We have watched anime that had remarkable character development. Yet, I find it difficult to find an anime that can accurately portray character dynamics very well to the standard Konosuba has done (There may be a couple of exceptions, but let's not indulge in that). Comedy anime are a dime a dozen, but it's always a delight to find one that diligently carries out that ...

Nothing can compare to the joyous whimsicality that is experienced when launching up The Autobots for the first time. You're immediately transported into the comfortable confines of the past: a simpler time with problems few and far between. The Autobots, for most people, is an escape from the harsh realities of the real world, allowing those who seek refuge to be welcomed into loving arms. Once every decade we are graced with a creation from a brilliant mind, a hand being reached down from the heavens to benefit mere mortals. A visionary in media and a cornerstone of thematic complexity, a film among movies.

Although I enjoyed it, I didn’t think it was as good as the first season. I hate the way it starts out with this dramatic cliffhanger action scene that you won’t hear anything about until the latter half of the season. I found it annoying. It’s as if the writer is unsure of whether they can keep your interest so they use this ploy in the hopes that it will insure your viewership. Another thing I didn’t like about this opening is that I think it’s misleading because action isn’t the focus of the show. In fact after this the show goes back to ...

+Beautiful, heart-wrenching story with excellent character work
+Contains several poignant messages about the human condituon
+Highest production values ever seen in an anime: gorgeous animation, sound, and themes
-Lack of action beats may not suit everyone’s taste
-Doesn’t leave viewer with “feel good” emotions

Sousou no Frieren is not a feel good story. By the end of the last episode you will feel hallow, defeated, and on the brink of tears. Frieren, our titular MC, spends most of her days wandering the world aimlessly, greeting new faces with a stoic expression. She is so old, wise, and powerful that there’s practically no conflict. If you liked the TV shows, and if you liked the characters, well they are all here, almost all of them. The movie feels like a paint by number box checking exercise. Everyone gets to do their "thing" and gets their big screen screen times. But the plot is thin and in normal Anime OVA fashion, nothing is at stake. Sure there are big action, great sakuga moments to show the budget of a movie. But it just doesn't feel like a proper film.

Good spin on "that filler action/fun anime this season"? I think so
Animation 8, Char design 8, Plot 6.5, Execution 8

If you noticed the avalanche of bad anime with unreasonably good audio-visual lately (Nanatsuma, Ishura, etc) and were sad stuff with good source like Returner's magic, or silly but entertaining Villainess Level 99 are getting screwed on animation then THIS ONE MIGHT SURPRISE YOU!

Kakegurui is a high school comedy anime disguised as a gambling anime. Filled with eccentric and psychotic characters, one notable aspect is how the show sexualizes its characters, depicting them experiencing intense pleasure akin to orgasms during gambling moments. Even the show's outro doesn't shy away from this boldness, featuring closeups of the main character's ass and boobs, which seem to be for comedic effect. In essence, Kakegurui is more akin to Prison School's unrealistic premise than a gambling anime with high stakes.

However, Kakegurui is nowhere near as funny as Prison School, and worse yet, its gambling aspects have zero stakes. The characters, predominantly children ...

Again another adult male MC thats scared of women and doesnt seem to care about his abilities.
Once again makes me question why we mostly only have cringe ecchi interactions or these asexual guys, instead of normal human relationships for the past few years.

tl;dr: A comedy anime purely about high school boys messing around.

This is a series of comedic shorts primarily about a group of boys attending an all boys high school. It's very heavily comedy focused without anything else to it at all. There's no plot at all, not even minor plot threads. There's no character or relationship development, though there is a character who clearly has a crush that shows up from time to time. There's no overarching themes or morals or anything like that. It's purely just a series of gags.

The gags are pretty interesting too in that they're basically just high school boys screwing ...

Starts with an interesting concept—an immortal mage, Frieren, joins a hero's party to defeat the Demon King. However, the execution falls flat, resulting in a lackluster anime that struggles to captivate its audience. The pacing is uneven, and character development feels rushed and underdeveloped. While the idea of exploring an immortal's perspective is intriguing, the series fails to delve into its potential emotional depth. Animation quality is mediocre, with stiff character movements and uninspiring backgrounds. Action sequences lack excitement and fail to convey a sense of urgency. Dialogue is cliche and melodramatic, lacking in genuine emotion. Voice acting is passable but fails to bring the ...

A journey through Madhouse chapter 1.

Before starting I want to make it clear that I don't know why I'm doing this, but the idea is to visit each and every one of MadHouse's works throughout its history. This is because it is my favorite studio and I am crazy enough to see it all.

Second point to highlight, since this work is not so accessible, I ended up watching it without subtitles, which is why this review is based on my mere interpretation, since I do not have any understanding of the dialogues.

Regarding the anime, it's nice to know that the beginning of this journey is ...

Firstly, let's talk about the characters. Kubo Tite seemed to have run out of ideas, recycling tired tropes and personalities that we've seen countless times before. Ichigo, once a promising protagonist, devolves into a one-dimensional cardboard cutout of himself, lacking any depth or development. And don't even get me started on the supporting cast – they're either sidelined into irrelevance or turned into mere plot devices to move the nonsensical story along.

Speaking of the story, it's a convoluted mess that makes absolutely no sense. Plot holes big enough to drive a truck through litter every chapter, and attempts to explain the logic behind the events ...

Like a campfire, a familiar jersey, or a comfort food, Sousou no Frieren serves to infuse the viewer with 'positive vibes'. Although ostensibly a high-fantasy adventure tale, the show is better described as a slice of life. The somewhat unsettling theme of human transience is still at the forefront of the show. However, most episodes consist of fairly innocuous and inconsequential interactions. All in all, this seems to be another addition to the 'wholesome cute girls doing things wholesomely and cutely' anime subgenre with notably high production value.
The weakpoint of Sousou no Frieren is that it offers little beyond 'positive vibes'. The main theme of ...

I honestly don't understand the hype around this anime. I was a lot more forgiving with part 1 thinking part 2 and season 2 will expand the story properly. Part 1 did its job introducing the main story and the important characters, and honestly it focused on the main story more than I anticipated.

Part 2 on the other hand, we barely get anything in these 13 episodes. Somehow after setting up the scene in part 1, warming us up for the story to move forward and getting to know the characters even more, we get boring episodes that barely move things forward.

The animation of Kengan Ashura has something peculiar about it. The creators opted to switch between 2D animation and CG during fight scenes. However, this description is misleading because in most dialogue scenes, they still use the CG animation. I would have preferred if they had chosen one or the other. Nevertheless, the CG animation during fight scenes made them appear more realistic, and for the crazy moves they wanted to showcase, it was the best option. Not only due to the budget but also for the viewer, as it made the movement of the fight more visible. In 2D animation, the action is usually ...

I'm really glad that the animation is promising because the magic looks amazing. To sum it up, slightly better isekai/tensei anime than average. It's not boring and I wanna know what will happen in another episode. It's refreshing that the MC isn't boring buff OP Kirito but cute funny mage. I enjoy his OP skills and how he uses them. “Fairy Fail is a H*ntai masquerading as a Shounen”

While Fairy Fail boasts an expansive universe and a diverse cast of characters, its narrative shortcomings and reliance on tired tropes ultimately undermine its impact, resulting in a viewing experience that falls far short of its lofty ambitions.

One of the most glaring flaws of Fairy Fail is its lack of meaningful character development. Despite the extensive cast of characters, many of whom possess intriguing backstories and potential for growth, most remain static and underutilized throughout the series. Natsu and Lucy exhibit little growth or evolution beyond their initial characterizations, with the arcs often reduced to ...

This season of MHA is one of the best. With very little filler and very intentional thrilling sequences, this anime is the epitome of shonen. The character development of all characters really gets put to the test in this season, and all of the positives and negatives that occur feel really heavy and important. Usually, it's easy to like other characters besides the main character in any anime, and that's especially true of MHA, but in this season, Deku really shines. Starting this with the disclaimer that I have not read the novels, I have however read the comics (up to the most recently available English translation). I'd like to preface this (as I've seen a lot of people unfairly complaining about this) - the comic art can never be translated as beautifully into an animation version. However, the art is still absolutely stunning in these series (so highly recommend you invest in watching this with HQ streaming). Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan: Kanketsu-hen, touted as the third season of the anime, is a brief, lackluster addition to the series. Comprising just one or two episodes, it offers little in the way of new content. While it does tie up one loose end from the previous season, the overall impact is minimal. The pacing is sluggish, the humor subdued, as the focus shifts towards wrapping up loose story threads.
