The world is ridiculous, so are the characters, the animation is flat & lifeless, the character design is generic harem bimbo stuff, the characters themselves are 2 dimensional at best, the music is whatever, the plot is all over the place & predictable at the same time, and yet the experience as a whole was enjoyable, mainly because the protagonist is an asshole who does whatever he wants with no regard of what's right or virtuous, failing upward in the process.
If you're in a silly mood, you enjoy power-fantasies, but are tired of Anime pretending to be anything other than the complete and utter garbage they are (*cough* SAO *cough* Shield Hero *cough*), I'd recommend giving this a try, especially in the english dub, where the campy & over the top acting adds another layer of foolishness to the experience. A refreshingly un-serious take on a worn out genre.
