Commonalities:
-They both have an OP MC, with many strong and fanatically loyal followers.
-They both have all the fantasy tropes (different races, magic, dungeons, monsters).
Differences:
-Overlord is an isekai, while 9999's MC is from the world.
-9999 is a revenge story.
-In 9999 the MC is human, and the human race is heavily discriminated against.
-Overlord is a lot more political.
Conclusion: 9999 is budget overlord. Overlord has a lot of world-building and political elements, while 9999 is a lot faster paced. 9999 is pretty good so far, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for more overlord, and vice versa if you somehow found 9999 before overlord.
