Both mangas revolve around a student that can see a cute girl and gets involved in a cupid-like trama. While in kami nomi he is a genius gamer, in hatsukoi the prota is a lazy energy saver; both of them just want to get back to their previous life.
Personally I prefer the comedy in hatsukoi, and a big difference is that in kami nomi the romance is more an harem while in hatsukoi is a match making to different couples.
