both has the same dark feeling and story, about vampire/pureblood and vampire hunter work together
the characters zero and gilles are very alike, they both wield a pistol, both hate the purebloods, both had their family killed by vampires and both are vampire hunters trying to get revenge for their family, both have a brother they hold dear- VERY SIMILAR
they are similar that they both have conflicts between vampire hunters and vampires, but vampire knight is more of a romance shoujo while blood parade is more of a action shounen
