Both are about strong (be it physically or strong-willed) protagonists who hate men (either in general or specific ones), who'd do everything to achieve their goals. Both are shoujo&comedy, both include bishounen. :)
Hardworking main female lead? Check!
Romantically dense female lead? Check!
Interesting workplace setting? Check!
If not for anything else in these series, Skip Beat and Maid-sama are both worth reading for their excellent female characters. Though both could do better in how they handle relationship dynamics and uh... interesting takes on the role of a lady (looking at you Maid-sama)... they're still very cute to read. Although the age gap is very suspicious in Skip Beat, the relationship itself is still one you swoon over, the same way one swoons seeing Takumi Usui's little smirk!
