Although the premise is not entirely similar, the setting, the development and the plot twists share a substantial resemblance! Mirai Nikki follows the battle royale recipe with a specific number of people trying to be the last (wo)man standing, but ib follows more the good side versus bad recipe, which in this case involves a specific number of people with certain abilities. However, who defines what good or bad is? The works redefine what you thought was right or wrong pretty often.
In both cases, the plot holds many surprises for the reader and some are just crazy and over the top, but enjoyable nonetheless. They
