The story is rather different (as the story of Holyland isn't supernatural whatsoever), yet the protagonists are really alike. Both Kamishiro Yuu and Kaneki Ken are gentle and yet, they're capable of being monsters for people they care about. The thoughts of the both protagonists are, in a way, really alike.
I can't help but be reminded of Tokyo Ghoul reading Holyland
-The protagonists both undergo a psychological change and become brutal compared to their former timid shell
-Both take place out in the streets and have a lot to do with gangs, police, and of course, fighting
-Both have art styles that aren't really similar, but give off a similar vibe, both can be ominous when needed but lighthearted as well
