Ratman and Boku no Hero Academia has a main protagonist whose life changes one day after one faithful event. They both have an ambition to make a dream come true although they face many obstacles along the way. There is a wide degree of action present in both series as well as comedy when appropriate. The main protagonist aren't any special at firsthand but does prove their worth during certain occasions. Their development of both inner strengths and dream are motivations that drives the story.
Both manga are set in a world where heroes like those in comics are an everyday occurrence. They both yearn to be heroes but is unable to become one for various reasons. Eventually they gain a power and it follows their adventures on this new power they've obtained.
Both are about a loner kid who wants to become a hero and only in circumstances given to him is he able to wield the power of a hero. Both mangas feature a world full of super powered people, only in Ratman, the main character is "kinda, not really" a villain.
Ratman and Boku no Hero Academia both have a main protagonist who are fanboys and wish to be heroes someday. Their life changes after one faithful event. They both have an admirable determination to achieve their goals even when going through tough obsticals. Both manga have a sense of comedy at right moments that won't ruin the expirence.
