There's really no simpler way to describe it. The comedy style and the character interactions are just that similar.
Both manga are comedic slice of lives that showcase the joy and innocence of childhood; with their child characters getting into all kinds of mischief. If you enjoy one for its humour, relaxation and depiction of childhood you'll definitely love the other.
Iyashikei comedies that center around the hilarious and heartwarming antics of young girls. Both have beautiful and incredibly thoughtful art styles that put a surprising amount of care into the minor details and backgrounds. They also use both visual and language-based comedy to great effect. Neither of them have a strong plot, but the character writing is good enough to keep you constantly engaged!
