The exorcists have special privileges, getting to go wherever they want to with the keys. The hunters license is like a passport to anywhere. Each group goes on adventures within their group and they form friendships, despite dark adventures. The plots draw the viewer in.

They're both about a kid that goes into an adventure, makes friends, encounter enemies, grow stronger, etc. Oddly enough, the characters are bound to one type of many "magical power" (Like Spec'ing in an RPG). The thrill in HxH(2011) comes slower than Ao No Exorcist, but I will still recommend it before the other.

Hxh is more darker than ane but both of them have got similar main character. Rin and Gon are helpful, funny, brave and.... not too smart
Gon and Rin want to be a exorcist/hunter
-both shows came in 2011
-Kurapika and Yukio are people who are more mature than the Mc
- Leorio and Bon are people who are loud
- Killua is similar to Izumo because they are are insecure and play off a cold personality but want to be respected
- Shiemi and Bisky are blondes who are the main female lead and take care of the mc
- Kite and Shiro play a father figure who the Mcs love
- They have a power which once activated something goes wrong
- both have sad pasts
- both can be violent when in battle
- both have great ops
