Both shows include very relatable characters and life challenges, the emotions never feel forced or out of place. You will find yourself feeling a personal connection to almost each character as you watch them go through different situations
Both have a heavy focus on romance, while NANA is targeted towards a more adult audience (Josei). Both shows have a tendency of invoking sorrow within the viewer.
