Both center around a group of psychical-ability wielders who disguises themselves as a group of high-school students that take part on various activities, under the name of SOS Brigade and Hoshinoumi's Student Council. Both groups are composed of similar characters : socially-outcast girl who leads the group, reluctant MC and his cute little sister, etc.
Haruhi tries to find them to recruit them into her club, while Nao for the sake of securing them from evil scientists.
High school students with special abilities in a club trying to find more people with special abilities. Somewhat similar characters (Nao = Haruhi + Yuki, Yuu = Kyon + Itsuki). Baseball episode. Alternates between character-based slice of life and supernatural drama.
Both are anime focusing on teenagers who are members of a group investigating supernatural phenomenon. They both have a lot of the same elements like science-fiction, comedy, slice-of-life and conspiracy, as well as several characters with similar personalities:
Kyon====>Yuu- Cynical, sarcastic, and have a younger sister who annoys them but whom they love regardless.
Haruhi====>Nao- Bossy leaders of the group who aren't above using blackmail to achieve their goals.
Itsuki====>Joujiro- The other guy in the group, who are generally friendlier and more cheerful than the main character but get on their nerves for one reason or another.
Mikuru====>Yusa- Cheerful, orange-haired girls who have an unexpected side to them.

an anime where a main character who gets dragged into a supernatural group lead by a weird girl sounds like Charlotte and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to me...the MC at first has qualms about it but slowly gets used to them.. the weird girl who leads this club can like Haruhi get loud and obnoxious

The overall tone and the supernatural aspects are kind of similar, even though Charlotte is a bit more serious.
Both animes feels very similar but Charlotte has a little "feel" springles on top of it.
also characters in both animes legit gives off the same vibes!
We have the Leader, the one that likes to force labor but is likable.
The genius dude, who is very keen on planning and technical stuff. (on Charlotte not rly.)
A beautiful cute girl who is the mascot of the group that attracts the attention of the outsiders
and the MC! who is tired of all his friends' shizzle but is still happy to be around them.

In both animes there's a strange and quiet girl bullies a completely random but normal boy, and forces him to join her club in which they'll look around for supernatural and unusual things. The characters are alike, and story is somewhat similiar.

People with supernatural abilities suddenly find themselves in the same school club and then proceed to make use of their superpowers to solve problems or save the world. These two anime give pretty much the same vibe, except that Charlotte is much more serious, while SHnY is more comedic and intricate plot-wise

In both series, there are high school students dealing with the supernatural. In both, there is an eccentric female main character. Though Suzumiya is better than Charlotte because it does not go over the top. Its main element of charm is in its dealing with supernatural in a normal manner.
